Does anybody know where I can get the program file for HTC album?
I appreciate any help };-)
Windows media player on my 8525
Everytime I try to open up music through the windows media player I get a message- Windows Media
! an unexpected error occurred.
I reset Windows and that did not work then I upgraded to Mibil 6 and that did not work. The only way I can listen to music, I open Windows media then I have to go to the menu button and Open File... thenpick the folder then play. This allows me only to play one folder at a time I can not play random music.
I appreciate any help Bob K
Re HTC Camera Album go to the Development & Hacking forum. Top thread is for all extracted HTC items. Download and install the cab.
You will find the link below extremely useful. Will help you to find things for yourself.
Good luck.

Problem with HTC Audio Manager
Downloaded the .cab on my phone and installed the program, but whenever i press the .exe file, nothing happens. Executed it in the programs, and directly using file exploror, but nothing happens, all i see is the wait-symbol and then nothing nix nada. Any clues? Got XDA Orbit (HTC Artemis) with WM6
Thanks
Works fine for me all.....
I installed it straight to the device (presumably as HTC would have done). Fired up straight away with no problems at all...even scans the device for all music files! Cheers Midget..Black is my favorite color.

Hi I have the same problem also on My T-Mobile Ameo with WM6
However I don't have the AudioManager.exe.0409.mui file in my windows folder; it's in my "program files/HTC Audio Manager" folder
Changing it to 0407 didn't help
Copy-pasting it to the windows folder didn't help either.
Any More suggestions?

You mast rename AudioManager.exe.0409.mui according to your language code. My is 0419 and renaming AudioManager.exe.0409.mui to AudioManager.exe.0419.mui did the job.
I downloaded tcpmp and the video flash bundle and am still having problems watching anything on the media player.....any time I try to watch something it goes straight to the windows media player and I get an error message....what do I do now to make this work for me? thanks
I have this exact same problem. I've tried searching both xda and ppcgeeks but haven't found the solution, although it's rumored that Youtube has stopped working, I think?
Anyway, I've also tried rolling these into dcd's 3.0.4 kitchen with no luck. Any help would be much appreciated.

Open the file from within TCPMP rather than from file explorer. You can also change the file associations from within TCPMP for the type of file you are trying to view (.avi, etc).
Are you trying to watch from Youtube? If so, make sure you are not on m.youtube.com. The flash bundle works with the regular site.
You installed TCPMP and Flash Video Bundle Correctly right.
Install TCPMP into your SD CARD
copy the flash video bundle cab into the directory where TCPMP was installed
Once you have copied it over install Flash Video Bundle to SD Card
Make sure the file associations on TCPMP are checked to play the files that you want to play also.
tcpmp and video flash bundle resolved
I found a site that finally worked and fixed my problem: http://www.sprintmogul.net/Default.aspx?tabid=54&ptid=370&threadid=3334&forumtype=posts

Does anyone have the file to enable MP3 recording for the TapeMachine Android APP?
I bought the full version but unfortunately the mp3 codec was offered free under a download link outside of the Android Market. As a result, once the company went out of business, I can no longer download the plug-in.
Does anyone still have this file?
Edit:
File can be found here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62403106&postcount=13
found: http://multiupload.com/8UWYNTQSUT
this is free software that only works with the fully licensed version of TapeMachine Android App.
File Name: tapemachine-mpeg-codec-r1.zip
the TapeMachine's website is working again , so you can download the mp3 codec using the Tapemachine software
Sorry for pushing such an old thread but http://tapemachine.samalyse.com/ seems down again. Does anybody would provide the mp3 codec pack?
Thanks alot in advance!

It's been down for a couple weeks now. Not looking good, but for someone has the zip handy because I could use it too.

Thanks alot man! :highfive:
Thanks for posting the link to the files, however, I cannot find any way of installing the codecs and making Tapemachine app work with mp3s. There doesn't seem to be any instructions on the internet for this. Is it possible to install the codecs without rooting your phone ?
If anyone could reply here with instructions, would really help.
In case the dropbox link above to the files disappears, I have reposted it here:

Just select the zip with your file browser (I'm using total commander) and choose "open with" (or something like this), then there should be appear "TapeMachine - Codecs". TapeMachine should install the codecs then. In Settings of TapeMachine you can choose mp3 as codec. Hope I could help!
I'm bummed, both of the links are no good anymore. Does anybody still have this file?
The multiupload link wants to install software, and the dropbox link gives a cute 404 error.
Thanks if you got it...

I've attached you the codecs originally provided by klau1.
Hope it helps!
man, i wish this would work. the ZIP doesn't open with TapeMachine and no "TapeMachine - Codecs" appears. i found /storage/emulated/0/.tapemachine/cache/codec/ but nothing i do there works. i can't believe i accidentally deleted TapeMachine and now MP3 is completely hosed!

Hi,
I've just tried to import the codec again and it worked perfectly (both my local archived zip and the uploaded zip here). Just download the file with your mobile, choose "open with" in your file manager and there should appear a program "TapeMachine - Codecs" whichs imports the zip.
got it!
thank you for confirming! i had moved the zip to my device from a desktop download, but when i used the DL link from the device, it worked without opening a file manager at all. :good:
The website has been down for a few months now, not sure if the Samalyse went out of business. There is no way to authorize the MP3 codec without his server up and running. The tape machine I purchased two years ago still works fine in my old phone, However, in my Samsung note 4 is another story. You can still download the app from the market but it does not allow one to upgrade. Really a shame! There is nothing better outhere. Keep our finger crossed. I hope he is okay. I corresponded with him when he first created the app and had a very nice experience. His company is located in Paris, France

I have the file you're requesting also, but to install it, it will ask you for your original 8 character code. After you enter it, it will try to connect to the server to validate the code. If the server is down you can't do nothing.
Sorry.

I have a song I have to learn for band practice tomorrow because I'm a horrible procrastinator, and I just wanted to say thanks for this link. This is the only place on the internet that I was able to successfully find and install the codec.
To answer your question...
Tap the zip on your phone to open it and TapeMachine should be an available option for opening it. If it's not then you will need to uninstall whatever you normally use for zips and try again. The app should open the zip and install the codec without much issue.
hi folks does anyone know how to change the default folder to the external card on marshmallow with this fantastic app? having no luck so far.
Me too. Tapemachine seems not to be able to read or write sd card i perfectly use with camera app i.e.
Do anyone have fixed this?
So I sync music from my music to my phone through DoubleTwist AirSync and DoubleTwist sends pictures and videos from my phone to my computer. Every time it syncs, DoubleTwist tells me some files didn't sync and it says "failed (unknown error)". It used to be 11 or 13, but I've gotten it down to 4 by scavenging through Root Explorer looking for the files that give errors and I've found and deleted some, but I can't find these last 4. All 4 are errors from importing FROM my device, not to it, so it must be something on my phone.
My question is basically, how can I find these pictures?
Also, on a side note, I found a file logo.mp4 which was giving a DoubleTwist error and my phone couldn't open it, so I just deleted it, but could it have been something important? I don't think it was in a sub-folder. I think it was just in the root of the SD Card.
Anyway, if anyone could help, I'd greatly appreciate it!

If you have the file names of the pics try the search function of the root explorer, searching from the root directory ( / ).

It's Recuva, from I think piriform.
They have free version and paid software.

And also try enabling the hidden files in root explorer (menu>preferences >enable hidden files).
