Choose your pic then resize it to 240*320 pixels
save it as "PNG" image with the name (Welcomehead.96)
copy : (Welcomehead.96.png) to Windows folder in your PDA
select YES to replace the existing image...enjoy. ...Bye

you can make your picture too. make it as png. an rename it as Welcomehead.96.png but you have to be sure about the size...
240*320
overwrite it to windows folder.. and finish..

yes this changes the splash screen during bootup...

for back to Original htc splash you must use (htcRIE_0.4.0.51) for change splash.
1.extract htcRIE_0.4.0.51.zip and original_gene_splash and run htcRIE_0.4.0.51.exe
2.select GENE of phone list
3.go to file=>open and select (ruu_signed.nbh) of rom folder.
example:GENE_WM6.1__1_17_720_03__B20954 => ruu_signed.nbh
4.after open ruu_signed.nbh on software view SPLASH and EXTROM and OS.
5.select SPLASH and of menu select image=>delete file
6.again Double click on SPLASH and change (SPLASH.nb) of original_gene_splash file.
7.go to file=>save.
8.now again install rom on GENE.
@arnoo: hmm.. may be you are right. But i think he should share it with others. His ROM can serve as a good base for building other ROMs.
Anyways, can you tell me what language is this site pdaviet.com in? I was not able to translate it any way. And What is the status of Windows Live in this ROM, Is it Working?
just flashed it on my gene....quite stable and fast....its a lite version.....wid not much bundled applications....nice work mate !

@Hari: The process of "ZELALAT" in post#11 is easy, I think u can understand if u read that post. farther i explain again...
Remember: if ur SPLASH is original HTC, no need to change.
1. Please download the file from Post# 11 (i. htcRIE_0.4.0.51 and ii. original_gene_splash)
2.extract htcRIE_0.4.0.51.zip and original_gene_splash.zip and run htcRIE_0.4.0.51.exe
3.select GENE of phone list (then a window is open, cancel it.)
4.go to file=>open and select (ruu_signed.nbh) of rom folder. (that is, select ur rom file from ur computer, which rom's Splash u wnat to change)
5.after open ruu_signed.nbh on software view SPLASH and EXTROM and OS.
5.select SPLASH and of menu select image=>delete file (If there are no SPLASH file, u no need to delete)
6.again Double click on SPLASH and change (SPLASH.nb) of original_gene_splash file.
7.go to file=>save.
8.now again install rom on GENE. (that u changed)
Try it I think U can
I attach a different SPLASH file (not HTC Original SPLASH ) try to change it on ur GENE. good luck.

On srvhari's request for a minimal plugin for the Home screen, I found out a great, compact and very customizable plugin for the homescreen. It has fully customizable buttons (5 to be exact), you can change the icon and shortcut to whatever you want.
Find attached the cab file for this great plugin.
by default it opens HTC Action Menu and HTC Album using the first two buttons, but you can modify the two xml files to change what ever you want:
ql_skin_l.xml and ql_skin_p.xml (l for landscape and p for portrait).
@Mods: Hope this is not crack or something . If it is please remove the link and please please please don't ban me .

When you install Quicklauncher, you will find two xml files in the windows directory, namely ql_skin_l.xml (for Portrait mode) and ql_skin_l.xml (for Landscape mode). These file contains details about the applications associated with the 5 buttons. Each line is similar to :
<APP1 x="0" y="0" w="64" h="45" img="ql_MSG.bmp" img_mask="ql_photos_mask.bmp" link=":MSINBOX"/>
Where
1. x= and y = is the position of the button, No need to change

In the first post you will find "Truly Black.zip" as an attachment. Make sure you apply the theme first and then run the cab file

Yeah! that black bars. I have tried hundreds of 'Black' themes but no one gave me black bars. The desktop was black but the bars were always gray . So thought may be there are other pple around who want a real black theme . No there is no other new stuff in the post apart from the theme.

Thanks dude But i want the default splash screen (Stock) for my HD2 (NOT T-mobile version). I can't find it.....You know the htc image with green colour fonts with white background...

I don't know how to make boot screens and I would like someone to help me make one.
I designed this .png image And I would like to have this as my boot screen
instead of that stock sprint animation..

LOL - that's fine. Well what he linkied to is a splash screen creator. There is the splash screen (non moving part- htc logo) and the boot animation ( sprint animation by default)
There weren't both of those on the Moment? (In some other form of course?)
And I misread boot screen for boot animation, but regardless Splash screen! lol

Well...first of all you must have an image...if you want modify an image like in this case i advise you to use gimp a simple tool to modify image...if you are determined you can learn how to use it. like me...so...when you have a ready image download Motorola bootlogo creator and select moto E...then click on logo_boot and then click replace...select your image...click on fill if you want a full screen boot logo...and select the orientation: portrait or landscape...the first is for a vertical image the second for a horizontal image...after that on top left click on file and then save as...select an output folder and then the nave of your zip...finish...If i help you click on thank button

In this case i opened gimp and i created a new image 720x425 and then i put inside the second image that you share me...then i saved the new image created...i close without saving the work and i loaded the first image...i take the image that i created and i dragged it over the old logo without covering the text...then i overwrited the old image whit the new image and then i created the flashable logo with Motorola bootlogo creator
