Why doesn't the text autocomplete when i type in text in the SMS text entry area!! This is a very annoying feature that I have to type an entire word eventhough in Nokia phones it autocompletes the text for me. Does anyone have any idea?
Would appreciate any help, thanks!

Hey ladies and gents, I need a bit of a hand here.
I've had a thorough look around and search but I can't seem to find a *good* way of removing the predictive text bar from the niki.
I tried this:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e0010409]
"Layout Text"="COMP IME"
"Ime File"="\\windows\\compime.dll"
"Keyboard Layout"="00000409"
Which worked for my old touch - and while it *does* remove the predictive text bar on the Niki too, it also disables xT9 on the hardware keypad, which is hardly ideal.
Does anyone know how to disable the predictive text bar without killing the other keyboard settings too?
In a similar vein, does anybody know how to reduce the font size in the predictive text bar? I can't find the appropriate registry entry, and it's set fairly large in Tom's V2 ROM.
Hi,
Anyone an idea why my GoKeyboard in Android 2.3.3 has T9 on for typing an sms but not for email? For email typing I need to activate it every single time...
(phonepad layout)
Also the normal layout shows the T9 button in email typing but in sms, there is no T9 button at all. Same GoKeyboard however???
Thanks.
Guys, anyone able to disable totally the text prediction in the ICS leak? It has a check mark and it is greyed out, so I cannot disable it totally. I am bilingual so when I text in my other language (non english, and not in languages list), the prediction keeps changing words, soo annoying.
any suggestions?
nevermind got it figured out.... I had to disable the trace keyboard.
Oh thanks, you helped me a lot, I was having trouble to disable the predictive anoying text now its everything ok when I deactivated Trace Keyboard!
Hi,
I often have to check text files of different types including GPX and XML files. I found it very irritating that while scrolling I often accidentally touch some numbers in the text file and number handling dialog appears.
Is it possible to display text as text only without hyperlinks and those "active" numbers? Or is it just Android OS feature?
thanks
PS: currently use OI Notepad
Hi guys,
I'm trying this:
Start an activity by ADB.
When the activity started, there'll be a form to input text, but my problem is that activity does not auto focus the text box, so i couldn't use "adb shell input text xxxxx".
So how can I make the activity auto focus the text to input? or can I call the keyboard activity and the text box will be auto focused? if yes, how?
Thanks for your helps!
someone help me pls?
