Downloaded the SRS WOW cab and installed on my ATOM Exec. As you are aware the speakers of Atom has the worse speaker output specially if you want to listen music from its inbuilt speakers. What can be the best settings in SRS WOW HD which can bring the best out of ATOM speakers for music. Kindly share your settings and lets zero in on ..the best settings.
Well jsbutran, everyone has his own likings and hearing level (I have a very low one), however I only use SRS (WOWbass setting) while using headphones. For plain speakers I use the built in equalizer (classic setting).

Hi
I have a Dopod 818 pro and thanks to Fantastic 2b rom, the bluetooth is working without any hissing sound on my bluetooth iTech R35 headsets. I think the best sound output music player are as follows.
1. 40iPlay
2. Core player
3. HTC audio player
4. TCPMP player
The one uses less cpu power is:
1. TCPMP player
2. HTC audio player
3. Core player
4. 40iPlay
Have you tried GSPlayer?

I also think GSPlayer is the best Mp3 player for Wince
I also really like the BT stereo sound quality with this new ROM. And I also use the same iTech R35 BT adapter with the HTC Audio Player. Its very nice indeed, while playing music, I can press the power button down and the music is still playing and controlable from the R35.
My only issue is that the BT most of the time cannot be enabled, from both the icon in the system tray, or from the Comm Manager. Only way to turn it on is soft reset. Very annonying..
May be any of you have a solution? It is almost perfect... after one year having the Prophet and R35.. first time I could really say the sound is good..
The best mp3 player is Mortplayer!!! and it's free...
GOt BtIO V0.5 installed with the PDAviet 4.0.0.0.4 rom, most of the time I can enable it and choose audio2bt and it works with my iTech R35
Hi.
Im currently trying a Sony Ericsson HBH-DS200 bluetooth headset, it works fine but there is a small static noise.
Does anyone know a BT Headset with really good sound without static noise?
Edit:
This thread can be deleted, I found out that the headset i have is fine and the problem was with the Touch HD settings.
Just checking you've tweaked your BT settings? Use Advanced Configuration Tool to set BitPool: Very high, Max Bitpool: 80, Min Bitpool: 65 (these are just settings I've read elsewhere- may not be optimal, but certainly beats the default). Turn phone volume to max and adjust headset volume as necessary - do you still hear the static? I've got a Motorola S705 which sound fine once I've applied the tweaks.
Yes im playing with the settings right now.
I got the music sounding really good but i still have some static when calling.
I think all bt headset will have some static at some point, may have to wait for bluetooth V3 for static-less.
Meanwhile I bought some Sony bt25nx neckstrap from Japan (AudioCubes) and can say they are very nice build and sound quality with lots of bass and a super long battery life oh and complete control of WMP and HTC Manila "Full Screen Player". Anyway every second post in this thread is about bt headsets, you should have posted in one of them.
As for me, I have recently bought the Nokia BH-504 headset and it works great with my Touch HD, with a great sound
I recently bought a Nokia BH-103 and the sound quality is awsome! No noise or anything else, just pure sound. Here's the Link This is a stereo BT InEar headset with call recocnition and also has a good takl/standby time. All over all I'm happy with it.
I use Sony Ericsson's bluetooth, HBH-DS970, with A2DP. It's really nice.
recently i used HD2 to recording on my class, then i found a little problem in my phone that is after the recording got the video sound volume was so small ,i also found the problem on voice recorder.by the way my ROM version is( Energy 21916) and radio version is (2.10.50.08_2),so i want know should i install another software or patch on my phone to increase the sound volume? i expect your respond, thanks a lot!
The HD2 has only a single microphone on the bottom of the phone. It's not ideal for recording audio at a distance. You could try using a mic with a high sensitivity that plugs in to the 3.5mm jack. As far as boosting the audio goes, you could Download SRS Wow HD. It does improve the audio out quality quite a bit. No help with recording though.
thanks a lot!
Hi, I can`t say that I`m a fan of beats audio but without it, the phone lacks a bit of bass impact, this is compared to an siii, ipod touch 3g and ipad 2, the volume is also very low without beats with the 4th notch equal to the first on the siii but that is fine since I like listening to my music softly. However whenever I enable beats audio there is a distinct increase in background noise that doesn`t really affect rock music but does classical and such. This is especially annoying in the gallery app where you cannot turn off enhancers but rather choose between htc enhancer and beats with the htc enhancer increasing bass to the point that everything sounds boomy and echoes. Does everyone have this issue with beats and if so how do we fix this?
TURN BEATS OFF ALWAYS.
Beats Audio is just essentially an EQ setting that is being hyped for marketing. To get the best sound, you need to do equalization based on your listening device, ideally at the amplifier, not the source. For example, audio will sound a lot different in your car than in your living room. So you want the source (the phone) to output a flat, unchanged signal, then adjust the EQ (or tone controls) on your car stereo or home receiver to make it sound best.
Now I'm guess you are probably talking about listening to music on headphones which is a different story, since the headphones don't have an EQ. In that case, just use a music player app (like PowerAmp) that allows you to adjust the EQ in the playback software. You could actually save different profiles: headphones, car, living room to switch between them. Problem with that is, then say you are watching a movie in your living room instead of playing music on your phone, then the movie may not sound optimal. That's why it's best to have the source material unchanged and do the equalization at as close to the amplification device as possible.
The only value of Beats is as a fashion statement for today's young people.

Hey there,
I've been playing around with the equalizer settings on my Nexus 7 and noticed that the 'surround sound' option boosts the clarity and detail of the sound above integrated laptop audio quality. I haven't been able to Google a lot about that option, located in the Google Play Music equalizer, but it greatly enhances my audio experience with my Sennheiser HD598 headphones.
I found the same kind of option on my laptop's equalizer (Dolby Advanced Audio) but that option barely enhances anything at all.
Is my tablet's sound card seriously better than my laptop's? (software wise that is)
ps: I'm not complaining, just curious what the option actually does with the sound. If I turn it off, the sound gets more 'flat' again and isn't
as good as my laptop's audio.
