Internet Sharing doesn't work in 6.1 roms?

Hi,
It appears that Internet Sharing no longer works with WM 6.1. (via USB or Bluetooth PAN). It says connected but it doesn't connect to the internet.
Has anyone seen this or know of a solution?
thanks
internet sharing w/6.1 ROM
To get it to work on Vista and XP, before connecting via USB, I open internet sharing on the phone and press "connect" and THEN connect the USB cable.
That is the only way it works for me.
Intenet sharing
Make sure bluetooth is off
connect with activesync 4.5
connect internet sharing
always works for me with XP
if you are using a proxy be sure to point your browser to the same proxy

Internet via bluetooth

Does anyone know if it's possible to get internet from my computer to the vibrant via bluetooth? To be clear, I do NOT want 2G/3G on my computer, I want to share my LAN connection with my phone. I'm deployed to Iraq and I have a wired connection to my computer that I want to share with my phone. I've tried connectify and similar options but they don't seem to work. I've got XP and 7 on the laptop, so if there's an option for either it'll work.
Thanks in advance.
Using bluetooth would be slow. You'll want to create an adhoc wireless network on your computer. Here's how to in XP:

Edit: This is, if you have wireless on your computer.

Maybe your router only supports a limited number of devices and your phone is pushing it over that limit. Also, you could try switching the Wi-Fi frequency band in the Advanced Wi-Fi settings from "Auto" to whichever frequency your Wi-Fi operates on.

Have you rebooted your router by pulling the power cable and then putting it back in place again.
A router will often refuse an Internet connection from a mobile device that regularly disconnects and re-connects all the time. This is normal and happens to laptops for mobile users all the time.

Virtual wifi hotspot stalls when using Titan

I have two laptops and one LAN connection. Say I connect the LAN to laptop-1. Then I use Mhotspot software to turn that laptop into a virtual wifi hotspot and connect laptop-2 to that hotspot. This way I have internet on both laptops without any additional router. I'm using this method for 7/8 months now.
The problems starts when I connect my HTC Titan to that hotspot. I can't access internet on Titan or Laptop-2, even though they're connected. As soon as I disable wifi on my Titan, internet on laptop-2 starts to work again. But it doesn't work the otherway, means if I disable wifi on laptop-2, Titan still doesn't work. Wifi signal from Titan somehow stalls the network. I'm almost certain because I have an android phone too (Galaxy S). I can connect the galaxy and laptop-2 at the same time and both works flawlessly. But whenever I start Titan, the virtual network stalls. Galaxy shows its connected but can't browse, Laptop-2 shows its connected but can't browse, Titan shows its connected but can't browse. Is it something to do with windows phone? Or I'm doing something wrong.
Note, the Titan is new but the Galaxy is old and the galaxy never created this problem. I tried to connect the Titan alone to the network, but obviously it also didn't work.
Thanks for any help. I don't want to buy a new router just for Titan :crying: :crying:
Update
I have somewhat narrowed down the problem. The networks actually stalls soon after I open the the marketplace or resume any app download. If I browse through mobile IE or use the facebook/email app it seems to work fine. But after opening Marketplace, the network stalls within minutes.
And another clarification, I do not use any sim with my phone yet. I'm still not sure I want to use Windows phone as my primary device yet. So 2G/3G + Wifi issues, pointed in other threads is not an issue here. I don't have sim, so no chance of cellular data to conflict with wifi. I would really appreciate some help here!

WiFi LAN with no internet connection unstable

Hi,
I have a wireless router that allows me to plug in a Hard drive / SD Card etc. It can be a bridge to another network or an Access Point etc but can also just be a LAN without an internet connection allowing access to the connected devices.
This works perfectly on my Nexus tablet / PC etc, however, on my Mate 20 Pro, the connection is unstable to the point of not being able to use it. I get a notification saying the WiFi connection doesn't have an internet connection I press connect anyway and from there it keeps dropping and reconnecting the connection.
If I plug the router into a network point and give it an internet connection it works perfectly on the Mate 20 and any other devices.
I think this is some clever connection manager thing Huawei is doing to try to connect to the internet but can't find a way to stop it. I am going travelling and wanted to only take the router and my phone however it is looking like I will need to take my tablet too to use it for what I need.
I've searched and searched the internet and here for clues but nothing so I am hoping someone has an idea.
Thanks
Andrew
