Ok so on the tilt 2 it has a strap/charm hole to put well a strap or charm on ur phone, and i used it alot! But recently the little plastic piece in the hole that holds the charm/strap snapped off on mine, Does anyone have any good suggestions on what I could do, I'm rather clumsy so a strap is rather needed
Where on your Tilt2 do you have such a hole? Mine does not.

that is so obvious is not for a strap!, the only thing i can come up with is that is for some kind attachment whole for like an accesory or maybe a craddle, but definetly not a strap, i dont think, lol
the phone is too heavy and you prob snapped the plastic cover off a lot too didnt you?
but i would love to really find out trully what kinda accesory would attached to it

Its called a hanger hole, its in the manual
http://www.htc.com/us/support/tilt-2-att/tech-specs/
No my plastic cover never came off
Anyone got and idea of how to fix it?
Looks like the holder is part of the phone frame. If the little T-shaped tab broke off, you may be SOL on fixing it. Perhaps you could buy a broken Tilt 2 off eBay (I've seen them) and transfer the part, but taking a phone apart and putting it back together correctly is not an easy task.
I never would have guessed that hole was for a strap or charm, although that's quite apparently what its for. The T-shaped tab under the battery covers sure doesn't look strong enough for the purpose.
never had a hole on mine, whered u get that from?! lol

oh... so you can wear the phone as a pendant... ya cause its so small and light i might mistake it for a necklace...
Same thing happened to me - I keep thinking how lucky I am it didn't go flying when it broke. I was able to loop the hanger through the square just to the left of where the "t" was - I can provide a pic shortly. Its been working so far...

I never, ever would have guessed that that hole was for hanging the little charms off of. I once wondered why this phone didn't come with something like that when most phones did.
Amazing what reading the manual can do~!
love hanging charms
sorry about your luck.
yep, i love hanging a charm or a cute screen cleaner from the charm hole.
been using it for a year..hope mine doesnt do the same

Oh please do
I use a strap for mine. It works wonderfully!
Wow that's great. Does anybody know where to find a strap that would be good to wear my Tilt2 around my neck please? It would be great for working while wearing a wired headset. Hate keeping it in my pocket and I'm not happy with any of the holsters. Especially that oem one. That sucker will help a guy lose his phone in a hurry...
EDIT; Nevermind. I figured out to search for the words phone and lanyard on ebay. Decisions, desisions.
Memory card lanyards work fine too. I'm using a lanyard for a SanDisk MicroSD adapter for my phone. It works great.
Whoa, that little plastic bit holding the weight of a Tilt 2 on a lanyard or wrist strap? Sounds like tempting fate to me. I never have used a wrist strap on a phone and this definitely doesn't inspire me to try it now, lol. HTC should have built something a little more substantial than that into the frame if they wanted it to be really useful as a hanging point for the phone. I have been wondering where the strap on the HTC accessory page was supposed to attach, now I know.

You are correct. It does look cheesy. However, so far so good. I do think it is important to be certain that the string of the lanyard is seated to the base of the "T" opening really well. Fortunately that is easy to pull off. Also I don't think I'd swing it around by the lanyard with the cover off. After a few weeks of using a wrist strap and a neck lanyard I don't see any signs of stress on the plastic. So maybe it will hold out.
I have been showing mine off at the office and all the time someone is holding it, especially one handed, I just cringe. My two year old likes to hold it herself while she plays the games I downloaded for her so we are always sitting and I have a pillow on her lap to rest it on. Man! I can't wait for decent cases to become available for this thing.
I hold this thing like a baby when someone else holda it I stand there and watch them carefully I'm not letting this thing hit the ground
I'm looking to get a good case asap also. I had 2 close calls. one time it almost slipped holding it one handed. althoughi love the look of the aluminum back, it is very slippery. I usually try to always hold it with 2 hands. this thing is light as a feather compared to my ipad1 but being slippery makes me Leery of one hand use till I get a case.
had another major scare when my 16 month old daughter took the thick, heavy Comcast cable remote and banged it pretty hard against the screen. you know how lil kids like to bang things in their hand up n down. I was like WoooooooA! so glad this thing has gorilla glass. no scratches or anything from that. I think because its so thin and flat, its pretty much baby proof if they bang on screen with their hands/palms. my Ipad held up to alot of abuse also and I kept it mostly in the official apple case. I have the targus truss case also that I mostly use when traveling. it provides maximum protection but adds alot of bulk/ thickness. my Ipad survived daughter constantly banging on it, drops flat on the screen on hard surface, and drops on the corner of it on hard surface. it survived it all with no screen cracks or scratches on screen. I'm pretty confident the prime can even hold up to more abuse. I don't even think ipad1 had gorilla glass. I am looking for a good case though. I saw a nice one in accessories section of a leather one at amazon. its on sale for like only $11. there's a thread or link to it in that section of prime forum. I forgot the name of it case. looks good.

My screens already lose so I need a replacement I'm scared if I drop it screen might become worse
I haven't dropped mine yet, but I took mine to work one day. My boss was talking about how she wants to buy the Ipad 3. I showed her mine and she asked to see it so I gave it to her. After looking at it, she sat it on the desk and the spun it so she could at it in landscape mode. I cringed when she did it but figured it would be fine because of the aluminum backing.
Come to find out yesterday when I looked at the back, there are about 4 small scuffs, two on each side of the logo, which I deducted probably came from my boss turning it around on the desk :'(. I guess the back isn't as tough as I thought. Luckily, I had already called game top 2 days after I bought it asking for an exchange because of screen issues. I just hope the replacement has the same build quality and screen as this one. Compared to my original transformer, the whites looked much more true on the Prime.
Dropped mine, but only from a 2 feet or so, but I tried to soften the blow with my toe. It cut it instead, haha, IT TASTED BLOOD. Anyway, careful, edges are quite sharp when falling ^_^
I did today, and look what happened

In my IT Shop that is called the "Technical Tap". Quite useful in some situations though it should be performed by a qualified technician!

I do that all the time to TF101 and the plastic has no scratch. Why Asus had to changed the back to aluminium? It causes only problems...
So, I see only one other thread about this, but I dropped my phone (Clumsy me left it on a chair, it slid off, and spider webbed my phone(SUCH a short distance)) But, I've bought the replacement part myself, and I plan on doing the repair myself. Is there anything I should know before I actually do this? Has total disassemble of the phone been done before?
Not to hijack your thread, but it drives me nuts how my LGOG seems to seek out-on its own-a way to dive off my coffee table/sofa/end table...no matter how flat and non inclined I sit it two seconds later and...CRASH! floor time...luckily mine has been taking it ok. So I feel your pain, and hope you get the help you seek.

I replaced the digitizer on an HTC Vivid and used 3m double sided tape and doubled that up so the screen wasn't directly on top of the lcd. The video for that one recommended doing that to keep some weird effects on the screen.

Maybe try some silicone glue
Maybe try some of the silicone seal (blue silicone glue) to attach it. If nothing else you might try some electronic stores (specialty or other Cell phone repair stores) for the glue that is needed. I would opt for something that isn't so hard on stuck and maybe go for something that holds tight and seals well but doesn't make it damn near impossible.
Their is a very reasonably priced Bunker Ring on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DI2OF12/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 A few years ago I was debating between the FlyGrip and the Bunker ring. I ended up getting a $6 one from china to see if I liked it. It was clunky but real useful so I bought the real thing for $20. Well, recently my wife stole it and I had to get a new one. Now there is one for under 5 bucks from china and I like it better than the expensive one. I just thought I should share since I think it is a great way to spend 5 bucks. And it took just a little over a week to get it.
...What is that?

Its like a Fly Grip.. lets you hold the phone with a finger (like a ring) instead of having to use a whole hand (or 2). Its good for watching media but can be a little clunky aesthetically.

Yeah, it's a holder that is also a kickstand. It makes the phone easy to use with one hand. It can be real useful. It does need a hard glossy surface to attach to. I just use 2 cases. I keep this on one, but when I go to the gym I switch cases so I can sit my phone on a machine. And for less than 5 bucks it is an easy way to see if you like it. The Fly Grip is $30.
Thanks for sharing, however I cant see that ever being very convenient, also isnt it uncomfortable hanging off your finger?
Forgot about the kickstand

I can't speak for this but I have seen ppl use something similar on other phones like the G2/Note2 and they seemed OK with it.
I actually stuck back on my tablet fly grip and was pleasantly surprised (slight awkward with back keys but putting bellow them still fine); using Diztronic ultra case. Still fits car mount so pretty happy about that.

It actually makes it a lot more comfortable. It makes it easy to reach all the areas on your phone with one hand because the phone is held securely with your finger tips at the center of the back of the phone. If that makes sense. Instead of needing to wrap your fingers all of the way around to get a firm grip. Once you use one it just feels wrong to hold a phone without one.
Guys, I need help. I've bought a used RAZR HD a month and a half ago and it was in a very good condition. 9/10, maybe even 9.5. had just a scratch or two on the rim around the screen.
Since then, I've dropped it onto concrete two times and on both occasions in went corner down, so now I've got two completely wrecked corners. Nothing else is broken, it's all fine, the kevlar back is pretty much mint, the screen is great, it's just that rim that is now completely ruining the look of the phone...
Did anyone face the same problem and what have you done to fix it, if anything? The only idea I've got now is to sand down the rim to be at level with the screen, that would possibly make it look good again. Naturally, I'd be very careful as to not scratch the screen...
Can that rim be replaced anyway? I'll check out the disassembly guides and videos now to see whether it goes together with the screen...
I'm so annoyed right now. The second drop happened minutes ago... God flipping damn it. The problem is that Moto's have not been widely used here in Serbia for years now and that makes the availability of any equipment for them more than scarce. I'll be ordering a universal case right now (the one in which you slide the phone in and out) but I'd still love to make it look good again.
Flipping damn it
*edit*
According to this video... It's glued very very strongly together - http://youtu.be/LfAyttf6fWU
That's just great... And I can't even find a silicon case, be it no name or branded, to cover it all up. Will see if I can order anything from across the border.

This would be it, right - http://youtu.be/Eg5qkRCm5pU ? But, doesn't it turn what is already a quite a big phone into a massive one? Because it certainly seems so I'm guessing this cannot fit a pocket of any sort of pants? But it does seem to offer outstanding protection. Alas, at what a price, both functionality and monetary-wise (the price is $40+ on amazon?)... But even if I wanted to spend that amount of money on a case, I'd have to keep my fingers crossed for probably no less than a month, hoping that it will eventually arrive, intact and without many additional fees. Third world problems...
Thanks for the advice, anyway! I might pick up the Commuter edition, it seems more reasonable for my needs

yes thats it, im in construction so i went with defender, my sister has commuter and it seems to offer a level of protection for most peoples uses (2-3 foot drops) and yes it does make the phone bigger so if thats a concern i would go with commuter, also the screen protector on the defender is part of the case but with the commuter its a stick on screen protector if that matters to you( i can never get those to go on without wrinkles) i beleieve the 40 $ ones are the black ones bc otterbox stopped making them i bought a black one for 20$ 6 months ago

Here's what I have (well, it's the same style but mine is a Body Glove that I purchased from Walmart but I cannot find it anywhere online):
http://www.amazon.com/Diztronic-Mat...9233999&sr=8-2&keywords=motorola+razr+hd+case
It's worked well so far. I've dropped my phone a couple of times, once face down and maybe two times on the side and/or corner, and my phone has been protected.
Overall, it adds a little bulk, but nothing like an Otterbox. I can put this into my pants pockets without much issue.

This is very much like the generic cases available here for most smartphones, priced at $2-3. Would you say that your case has a premium quality and is worth the higher price? Because I've found those generic ones available together with free shipping on eBay. But I know how lousy their protection and appearance are, so I'm still weighing my options.

Again, that is not exactly the case I have, but I purchased it at a Walmat department store for about $14.
It feels rubbery and it's flexible when the phone is not in it. Mine says "Body Glove" on it but I cannot find it on their site (they don't list any cases for the Droid RAZR HD).
Overall, I wouldn't say it's premium quality (not like I had with my Otterbox cases for my OG RAZR MAXX that I used to own), but it does seem to do the job for me. As I said, I've dropped the phone face down with the case I have (which is similar to the one I linked to on Amazon) and the phone came out unscathed. It was about a three foot drop onto the concrete floor in my garage if that gives any indication.

Another vote to the Diztronic - it would cover that damage and will prevent the same type of damage when you drop it again. Mine has lived in one of these since I got it and gets tossed around all the time. Has landed face first a few times and has not skipped a beat thanks to the raised lip.

Thanks, mate. The Diztronic looks wonderful compared to the chinese "s-line" thing I bought because of free shipping... It's just crap and it doesn't even cover the edges properly - the left one is fine, but it cannot stay on top of the right one. Check the picture for illustration. I'll be sure to get the Diztronic one in the future. Can you just tell me whether its rubberised or is it just the matte finish making it look as if though it were? Because it looks like it is and that it's insanely sticky and that I wouldn't be able to stick it in my pocket, but I guess it's just the matte finish
