Install HTC Home Plugin and you're good to go and if you feel more adventurous then install HTC Home Customizer, with which you can tweak HTC Home.
i hav upgraded to WM 6..can anyone giv exact instructions for WM6.1.....i hav downloaded file from filefactory as above.... so can i run the rom update utility directly to upgrade or do i need to use HSPL procedure again...thnx

The HP ROM only can be use for HP RW6828, i know it was same thing with atom but seem like HP have make something on it device to make use it cant be flash by other rom. try go to hp website but i think u only will find the model with asia hp website.
I will like to share the rom here but i'm a new member here dont know how to do that. hopefully someone will put on here. Register on hp website and it will allow u to download. Cheers

U can Download the CHT ROM & WWE ROM but u can't flash from cht to wwe or even from wwe to cht coz i try it before. yes like u say u have to unlock it but so far i cant find away to do that. Hmmm still waiting some pro can done it. Cheers

Why not try copying the files from the WWE rom in Windows/Temp after extraction then paste those files into same directory when the CHT rom has extracted then continuing the flash procedure, just a thought and dont blame me if things go pear shaped.

I've try this solution 4 many times.But, the RUU doesn't allow to do this.
I try the CHT one(sp34075.exe), the hpRUU.exe pop up a fatal error message during the upgrade process and cause my 6828 dead thoroughly: no response to powerup & hard reset.
what a shock!!! Hardly imagine that HP even make this ****!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've just installed 'Windows Mobile Crossbow Most Beautiful Edition' on my XDA, Much better than the standard O2 Rom and pretty standard looking imo, has some nice extras thrown in but overall pretty clean. My IPL/SPL are identical to yours. Just use Shelltool and you'll be fine.
Dont worry if it doesnt work first time, it shouldnt cause any problems to just reflash it. Worse comes to worse you can always flash back to the O2 rom, although I wouldnt recommend it, Wizard Love rom is quite nice.
Find download links for Windows Mobile Crossbow Most Beautiful Edition and Wizard Love that they mention in the Shelltool thread, then you're set even if you have a mishap.
I did mine over the weekend, same IPL/SPL/Radio as you. I flashed with PdaViet4 using the Shelltools method.
WM6 Most Beautiful ROM
Firstly, great site and a veritable mine of information, almost too much. A quick question since I'm kinda a newbie.
I currently have an unlocked G4 XDA Mini S, with Wizard Love on it. I'd like to try WM6 and Most Beautiful as most folks recommend it. I tried flashing it last night using the shell tool, but I was unsuccessful. So I was just wondering, can I just install Most Beautiful directly or do I have to use the shell tool? I think I have the new ROM update installer (is there a way I can check this?) and I'd like to try it directly.

I got it to work anyway, using the shell tool. I just removed the miniSD card and turned off the radio (ooops, should have done that before!) and hey presto. It's on and looks great.
No phonepad text entry method though . Must see if I can add it...

same here orange rom sucks need to update to htc wm6.1
There is no HTC Wm6.1 Rom. Only WM6 Roms available by HTC.

There is an official WM6.1 ROM for the Neon that came on the US released Touch Dual. It was not an upgrade but a device that came with an HTC WM6.1 ROM.
I have ported this ROM to the Niki and it works like a stock ROM, most users report it as a great ROM with little or no problems. I think the users that have problems with it may have a slight difference in hardware or are creating there own problems by tweaking the registry too much or loading problematic programs and interfaces.

Many bug and problems , i tried fail ,and dont try to install 3d manila, i have a big problem , my niki unreconize the pc, can flash with cable, i go to home to try with bluetooth.
Manila2D on Original HTC WM 6.1 Rom (german) is running.
Have it installed yesterday on my device.
Works OK on my WM6.1
Some bugs, but all the basic features work.

I also installed the new ROM (dutch version) and m2d, but my softkeys are not showing anymore. Anyone else has this problem?
I installed manilla 2d on my touch dual with official upgrade it worked but slowed the scrolling down loads.
Worked fine and fast on WM6 orange UK stock rom

I tried searching around however i could not see any new ROMS for Gene for windows 6.5. I noticed that all the other phones like Blackstone and Titan have lots of new ROM for windows 6.5 with lot of other verison. i noticed their version have reached upto to v8 for win 6.5.

Other phones are having it faster because the quoted ones by you have bigger stomach (ROM memory) so its a bit simpler to cook this huge giant OS for them. For GENE, the cutting and trimming takes a lot of time. Be thankful that its even running on gene because of developers like Ankit here, otherwise you would never be able to see wm 6.5 on gene.
