well you guys have the newest radio and the only way for us to get are hands on it is for you to dump it off of your phone... the instructions are easy and in the wiki so please help the Xda hermes forum out and dump your radio!!!
You have radio version 1.42.00.00 we do not since we don not have anyway to download that radio since rogers or htc do not offer support/downloads for it yet...
I wish you posted a few days ago. I just got my TyTn, but already reflashed everything. I'll spread the word though, I work for Rogers and know a few people with a TyTn
Will ROGERS be posting any of the updates for the radio and also the settings for internet/mms?
I also have a ROGERS account in addition to my US T-mobile account (since I spend over 10 months in the US).
I have the Softbank version of the TyTN.
Regards

welp rogers as of yet has not posted anything and it normally takes about a month for them to set up support for it. guessing the phone came out about a week ago we have a little time to wait before they post and service rom for it... SO PLEASE ROGERS CUSTOMERS BEFORE YOU FLASH YOUR YOUR RADIO DUMP THE RADIO FIRST...
I doubt it. They usually only post updates, not current. You could talk to Rogers tech support (1-866-931-DATA)and see if they're of any help, otherwise i'm sure some Rogers people will get the Radio up soon enough. Keep an eye on HowardForums, there's a few guys in Toronto on there that may dump the ROM. Also keep an eye on https://www.shoprogers.com/web_auth/downloads.asp?product=Wireless
That's where Rogers would post downloads if they became available.

did you flash your ROM and Radio or just a OS.nb only rom??? check and see what radio is on your phone if you flashed one of the roms on this forum you probably still have radio 1.42.00.00!!!!!!!!
okay, but hold my hand....
I flashed my ROm , but not the radio, it's still 1.42.
How do I dump it painlessly?
I quickly skimmed the wiki and didn't get a quick answer...
that must be Nick. Alex here. I thought you'd be able to help!
i have 1.41
I assumed Rogers would be using some outdated crap, so I flashed everything with the newest i could find. apperently that was a mistake! lol

Is this a Trinity ROM or Hermes? I want my internal GPS to work!!
GPS on the hermes does not work period.. Lots of threads on this to much modding was needed to get it to work so NO ONE ever did!

Anyone know how to get some of the stock verizon ringers back on to the xv6800 after flashing with a cooked rom from dcd's kitchen?
They are in your extended ROm if you have unlocked that. If not, get them from the PPCGeeks FTP.
I have "unlocked" my extended rom by making a registry change. Now I can see the extended rom and the files. I'm not really sure what to do at this point though because I can't do anything with the files, they don't do anything. I'm probably just doing something wrong.
The cab files say they install, but no new ringers appear. The autorun file doesn't do anything. I've read several other threads stating that the registry hack I made just "unhides" the extrom, and now I have to unlock it. Anyone got any ideas for what I need to do next?
Oops, didn't notice this thread earlier.. lol. You may need to OEMize the cabs if they don't install properly.
So that means I'd have to OEMize the cabs in the extended rom, then import them into dcd's kitchen? If so, does that mean I have to reflash again with another cooked rom with the OEM's that i make? Or is there a way to use the OEM's without reflashing?
Also, after looking over the cab files in the extended rom, none of them contain a _setup.xml file. OEMizer won't import the cabs from the extended rom because of this.
All I want is a few of the stock ringers from the original vanilla rom, and this is starting to become a huge headache. :-(

Let me look at them later on today and see if I can grab them for you.
Yeah, I tried just dragging and dropping the cabs into OEMizer, which worked when I ran BuildOS. Cooked my rom, flashed, and the cabs were in my /Windows directory. Didn't do anything though because they still wouldn't install correctly.
Thanks blazing!
Here you go. You should be able to put them in the Windows/Rings folder.
Edit (12/26/07): Missed some the first time and they are named correctly.
EXCELLENT! You are the man.
May I ask what you did?
I extracted them from the cab file.
Please re-download the file as I missed a couple the first time. Plus they are now named correctly.
thanks a lot for your help.
just one more question...are these the stock rings off the verizon xv6800 that come with ROM 2.09? there seems to be one particular ring i've always had, both with my xv6700, and again with my xv6800 (before flashing) that's not there...it's weird.
anyway, thanks again.
I got them from the Extended ROM that is in the 2.09 ROM.
Can you tell me which ringer you are looking for? I might be able to find it and get it for you.
I'm not sure what they're called on the xv6800 cuz I flashed it right away and can't remember. On the xv6700, they are called telephone ring 2, and telephone ring 3.

I will look tomorrow.
Here are some more. I think the 2 you want are in here.
I did a full upgrade on my phone this weekend (very easy thanks to all of the info on these forums) but just realized that some of the neat ringers that came with the phone are gone. I looked through these zips but didn't see them all. I had Halloween (Michael Myers theme music) and Flight of the Bumblebee and some other cool ones. Anyone have any thoughts on a source to find them again? Thanks.
Wow this is an old thread lol. I think my first xda post was made in this thread, back when I was wet behind the ears.
Yeah...I've been reading these forums for a couple weeks now and I was shocked to find a thread with gc14 asking for help.
I guess we all start somewhere.

Try using Google! Noobs.
Took me a minute to realize the date here!
Ive spent weeks researching my neon400, and the options I have with it, and I have discovered that there are no options! Or so it may seem.
I've tried to hardspl it a few times now, no luck, the sspl-nike does not work with it.
I want to know if anyone out there with a neon400 specifically has managed to hardspl thier device, and furthermore if they have managed to get any custom rom to work.
The neon400 actually has more in common with the diamond than any other niki or neon, it has a different processor chipset than any other touch dual variant, its CDMA not GSM and does not use a sim card. The chipset it uses is identicle to that of the HTC Diamond.
I think we're out of luck - the Neon400 is only sold in Canada, so people like you and me are SOL in terms of getting a new ROM.
It is similar to the Diamond, but not exactly, so the Diamond stuff doesn't work with it.
If somebody could instruct me or find some sort of hardspl developer's guide...I'd love to give it a shot.
I would even extract any info from the phone to assist some other developer. Right now, the current ROM eats up ridiculous amounts of memory...we need custom stuff!
Lucas
Wow, this is rough, I have the Telus version, and I don't know how everyone else's phone behaves, but this thing's stock ROM is light years behind my previous Apache with custom ROM. It takes it close to 7 seconds to hang up a bloody call!! That's uncalled for
My girlfriend has the Telus version, she is who I'm trying to hack it for.
Her's is all right, and only that. It's def sluggish and needs a lot of the stupid crap removed.
I think this version also has GPS, which needs to be unlocked I believe.
the gps is already unlocked I have a Telus Neon 400 and it works great, mine also is solid in terms of speed and does not take 7 seconds to hang up a call. major issue for me is well i want WM6.5 so lets get cracking people what do we need to do to get a rom cooking.

Hey guys,
I installed a custom rom, but the guy didn't include TF3D in it. Does anyone have a link to a plain jane stock HTC touch flo cab, or better yet, the stock Alltel TF3D cab? I would be forever in your debt! *lol* Thanks in advance...
I have the HTC TouchFlo3D cab in my thread, here..

Which Rom did you install
I am curious to know which Rom you selected. I did the same thing and really felt left out of the fun. So I switched and went with Yay 4 Juggs.
I like it a lot and don't have the problems that some people have mentioned.

I Would Think So. I Hope. Looking 4 HTC'S Touch Pro Theme For My Sprint CDMA.
Ok, sorry to ask a silly question that I am sure is all over this thread.
The reason i dont find it, its because I am a HTC Tilt user and familiar with that section.
Are there no roms yet for the CDMA version? Sprint?
If so can someone post a link what HARD SPL to use and where are the roms? I dont see any in this CDMA section?

I believe most of the CDMA Roms are all good for each of our vendor specific devices. You have to make sure you use the carrier specific unlocker but after that, you "should" be good to go.
It will always say (at least most times) in the rom thread what carrier it was developed and tested under and other compatible carriers as well.

Not correct. The same SPL unlocker may be applied to the same device. The Sprint, Telus, and Bell Touch Pros are all the same devices and may use the same unlocker and ROMs. The Verizon device is a different hardware model.

In addition to the ROM, some carrier specific settings may be incorporated into the ROM build or after flashing with a specific carrier CAB.

The devices are the Raphael 500 for Verizon and Raphael 800 for Sprint, Telus, and Bell.
It is best to describe the devices by model rather than confusing people with only a carrier one is familiar with.

Are you guys looking under a rock? TP Roms don't fit under rocks.
There are a handful of excellent roms and detailed instructions (that you will need) on how to unlock your devices and flash to a new rom.
Please visit www.PPCGeeks.com in the Touch Pro Upgrades forum to be precise, and you will find ALL the information you are looking for.
I have enough sense to type ppcgeeks' url address in my web browser and search for roms. Last I checked this was xda-developers, I was hoping to find a good Alltel rom HERE.
I'm using Conflipper's latest Alltel rom from ppcgeeks, and it works great. But like all flashing junkies, I need my next fix. I was hoping I'd find something new over here. I wish DCD would ditch his Titan and get a Touch Pro. He made my Mogul an almost tolerable device. I can only imagine what he could do with a phone like the Touch Pro.

Yes, there are some great ROMS over there, but why are there none here? What if PPC geeks was to go down or something ? lol
I'm using one from Juicy (his last) that I'm getting 2 days of battery life out of, with my normal apps and hotmail pushing. I can skip a night of charging before bed and I still have a phone! Woot!

Rather than selfishly complaining about others not serving you -- why don't YOU contribute to the XDA-Wiki for links to CDMA ROMs...?
The gimme attitude of some is bothersome to many developers who spent their own time for the benefit of the community.

I don't have a "gimme" attitude. If I were demanding that someone from xda-developers make me an alltel rom, that would be a gimme attitude. I simply wanted to know if there were any available on the forum, and if so, WHERE.
Wasn't selfishly complaining about not being served either. Actually, I was bragging about how great DCD's roms are, and hoping out loud that he makes one for the TOUCH PRO.
Read before you post, genius.

I'm using Juicy's 4.7 ROM but you will not be able to find it on PPCGeeks because Microsoft shut him down!!!!
I think they said that he had something from there Win Mobile 7 in his ROM...... but don't quote me.
All I can say is that I was one of the lucky ones that got to download it before it was removed and like the comment was made earlier, I have at least 2 days of battery life and that with using the my phone on a regular!!! and pushing email.
It's great!!!!
Try Dream's ROM it is really good also.
