Nice work.
Great work.
Nice work, thanks! Works on my HTC_Test AKU3.3 rom.
thanks kyphur!
How did you lose this feature, or did you make this for no AKU 3 users?
Does not work for me.
Running HTC AKU 2.3 (old) ROM with Green CommManager theme...
Do you have any idea why this is not working?

Yes this is for Roms other than the Cingular AKU 3.3 (such as AKU 2.x & Crossbow)

It wont even istall on my TyTn with Swedish ROM 1.18.263.2.
After executing the cab I get this message:
Comm-Toggle-Vibrate-Fix.CAB was not installed.
Any way to fix it??
Works great! But I have one question: when App is activated and "on vibrate" mode is activated, a special icon is displayed on today's bottom tray. Is there any way to remove it/nto allow to show? I don't really have any space on today my screen for it...
Doesn't work on my Vario II :/ I'm using the rom it was shipped with (but unlocked radio stack).
nice work, thanks
Didn't work on my TyTN....original ship rom
Just checking to see if people did a soft reset / power off after installing. That was required for me.
I tried both a soft reset and a power on/off with no luck on my original ship rom.
does it work on the trinity as well? i'm using the last Dopod GPS rom (AKU 3.3 afaik)
thanks, very good idea

Pretty neat indeed, love the way you can drag and change width of the program buttons. Doesn't seem to be memory hungry orslowing down the system (contrary to others as e.g. Magic Button). Only add ons I would like to see are a battery bar (like in Magic Button) and a home button (again like in Magic Button).
Just my 2 cents...
wow, what a fantastic find! I've been looking for this for a long long time since upgrading to wm6 where magic button no longer is acceptable. I've been using pBar, but this lets me switch programs more easily, since running applications are nicely displayed on the task bar. And the color blends in so well.
I absolutely love this. Bye bye pBar.
Thank you fards, for this 'post of the day'!
fantastic good program pbar is poor ... tank
Nice find. Thanks
Seems to be very stable
Given up magic button for it. Very nice and very stable so far. High degree of control over what the x button does on apps is great.
I agree, may be it is the final taskmanager

The battery bar is available in the latest version 1.1.7.0.
By now, you must have figured out that the horizontal drag bring you to the home screen, and vertical drag allows you to minimise the current application. In 1.1.7.0, you define what will happen in vertical and horizontal drag. The default setting is to launch the favorite applicatios with the vertical drag, which is a good setting I think.
You can also choose to show the active applications as just an icon, or the old way, which occupies most of the taskbar.

I just installed HTC Home via HHC. Very nice today plugin, I had never used it before. Is there a way to put a battery level icon somewhere on the today screen? Is there one in HTC Home? I wasn't able to find it if there is.
Thanks,
Jeff
p.s. I am running DCD 3.2.5 if that matters at all.

It'll place a sweet multi-colored battery bar on the top of your screen when you restart...and there it will remain.

Thank you. I was hoping to find something that sits on the titlebar on the today screen and any running programs (next to the clock). I have been unable to find anything. I found a program called Batti last night, which is very similar to the one you mentioned. It works pretty well.

SmartMonitor* can do this. Many themes use it for RAM, GSM and battery level indications.

I personally like a program called Quickmenu. It will not only give you a cascading start menu but will alot show the battery level in % format but will also display available RAM. All dont in 2 lines in the top right corner of your screen. It will aslo free RAM aswell as give you a shortcut for soft resets within the menu.

I was just looking over the screen shot of your today screen, and you have the 1X icon, the network strength icon, the ringer icon, and the battery level icon. How did you get that battery level icon? That is the one I want, but it seemed to have gone away when I installed a DCD rom.
I have a clock in place of the battery level.

you can either use the hhc settings or go into the registry and change hklm software/microsoft/shell and change the value of showtitlebarclock.

I would like to use a fakecursor/sphelper on my S740.

SPHelper does work, but when it's hidden, and I'm on my home screen my 0 and 8 key's don't work (The dialer shows up when I press them, but the digits won't get appended to the phone number).
Any suggestions?

I got things working the way I wanted, without cursor emulation. The things I wanted to use it for were Opera and Qmail.
For Qmail I found this solution: http://frank.hommers.nl/2009/02/13/nieuwe-keymapping-voor-qmail3/
For Opera I found an alternative which has mouse emulation built in: Torch Mobile Iris browser: http://www.torchmobile.com/products/iris.html

Ever tried skyfire? http://www.skyfire.com/
It could be me doing something wrong, but I'm confused right now...
I had a S730 with fakecursor working... I activated and deactivated the fakecursor application by pressing the home button for a while. For this to work I had to make a shortcut in the \windows directory named Long_home.lnk pointing to the Fakecursor.exe
On the S740 I tried the same, but the phone doesn't do anything when I copied the Long_home.lnk file into the \windows folder and hold the Home button for a while
Does anyone know if I have to rename the shortcut on the S740 phone, or am I doing something wrong?

There is solution for problem with configuration of the fakecursor. Press once the fakecursor.exe, it asks you to install and then setting window appears. Than use any task manager and close fakecursor task. Run again the fakecursor.exe... voala...working. Do not forget to assign fakecursor to some button so you may also close it (with enabled fakecursor common keys do not work)
Hi
Does anyone know if its possible to use fakecursor with Groovemobile?
Or any other solutions getting Groovemobile to work on a non-touch phone?

Been looking all over for a solution if there is any.

On S740 there are no use for Long_home.lnk because it does not exist on ROM, but you can make the trick by remapping file Short_Camera.lnk in Windows folder to open FakeCursor.exe by specifying where it's placed on your device... Once it is done you have to do a soft reset to make the shortcut available by pressing the camera button. The only problem is once changed, camera button will work only for FakeCursor, unless you remap Short_Camera.lnk again to work with the camera application.

Your screenshots don't do this app justice! Wow, it is seriously cool. I need to figure out how to keep it alive, but I really like it. It does a lot of things, like show open windows, running services and devices. It also has a nice file explorer.
By the way, it is the very first contribution of a XDA member- Chinagb. Better programs from the author will come.
I may not know what I'm doing, but xtask closes every time I switch out of it. Also, it's kind of weird that the history is stored on the storage card. I guess I'd rather have it go to \windows or \application data. Otherwise, it works really well, and looks amazing. Xhook is really nice, I like having a working taskbar. It's like magic button, but works well with 6.5.3.

The idea to store the history on the storage card is that when hard reset or flashing rom the file won't get lost.
Indeed weird it closes all the time. Perhaps you can check "Digital Memory" in the setting in order to show something on the title bar.
Excellent tiny program, will give this a whirl and see if i find any quirks..thx for sharing...
thank you i tray

I tried checking dgital memory, but xtask keeps closing. Not a big deal, xhook works well. If I'm in a program, clicking on the start icon opens xtask (I have replace start menu selected). If I'm on the Today screen, though, the start icon opens up the regular 6.5 start menu (which I prefer anyway). It's kind of quirky, but I really like it.
Is there an easy way to load window classes into the fix list? I have a couple apps I'd like re-positioned. I guess I need xtask running in the background for that, though.
Edit: about the history storage location, I personally have a lot of trouble with corrupting my sd card, and have found that it's better for me not to have log or temp files or similar things on the card. I think it would be better to have a reg key where you could choose the path for the xt.reb file. Any, I love this task manager-it's really cool. Here are some screen shots:
how to add apps to 'exceptions'?
XHook shows an icon for manila on the taskbar. It shows 2 items in the taskman list also. How can I get these to not show. I tried to add it to the "exceptions" bos under settings, but could not figure how to enter anything into the box.
Any suggestions?
This is a great app!
Go to Taskman, long press on the app and add to exceptions in the pop-up menu.
Click the icon on the left is equal to long press project
Good job :d:d
支持,太支持了!!!!!!!!
Well, this looks promising but from my personal testing I can say that this is still alpha stage... Thumbs up and good continuation, I'll keep checking ...
I've already got it cooked into my rom. I actually like the fact that xtask closes down every time it's minimized. Xhook does a great job of closing apps, so it's not needed all the time. I used to have a button assigned to dotfred's task manager, but I switched it to Xtask, and it loads much faster than dotfred's and is a bit quicker to use (don't get me wrong, I still love dotfreds).
