the battery of the wizard is a lithium ion it only can be charged with a li-ion charger if you charge it with this charger there is a big possibility it will explode

OMG
Batteries especially Li-Ion Ones do not explode.
The same charger has been claimed to charge the Wizard Battery.
The problem is how?

dock occasionally won't charge tablet

Since the newest update my dock won't charge my tablet anymore. I can still see the battery status, but it isn't indicating that the tablet is being charged. Beside that the battery of the tablet still drains, while the dock battery level stays the same.
Today I got it working sometime, the charging animation was showing and it charged it up again, but right now it isn't working again. Is this problem known and/or is there any way to solve it?
P.S.: I looked through the settings, and on the battery stats the "charging bar" is displayed...pretty weird, especially because the tablet wasn't charged up at this time at all
I don't know was it like this on .15 and earlier but when your prime's battery is drained to 70%, the dock will charge it to almost full, not when it's over 70%
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using XDA Premium App
I think it already charged sooner with the older firmware...I could be mistaking anyway..
I'll have a look whether it charges if the tablet's down to 70%

[RESOLVED] Alternate Charger issue

Had an issue where my prime would not charge properly. Cable worked fine plugging into PC, it recognized the prime, etc... but wasn't charging as fast as it used to while in the brick..I had been on charger directly plugged into tablet for two days (wouldn't charge at all while plugged into the dock and tablet mounted to dock) went from 4%-91% researched and found the following charger/plug at Radio Shack and it works like a charm. Chargin tablet and dock connected together with no issues. Dock is at 0% tablet at 91% just plugged it in and will let you know how long it takes to bring both to 100%.

Is it safe to use an original LG G3 charger for my G5 with Type C cable?

Hello. I normally leave my original G5 charger at home because the power strip it is normally plugged into is in an awkward location to mess with often. I have an original G3 charger with me at work along with a Kinps-brand USB 3.1 type C cable I got from Amazon. I am wondering if this is a safe charging setup to use. Ampere shows that the current varies as normal when charging, when the battery was at a lower percentage it was as high as 2100mA / 4.39V and it has dropped down as the battery fills. The original charger for the G3 if I recall was somewhat of an almost-fast-charger rated @ 5V = 1.8A. If anyone here could help me I'd appreciate that.
Thanks.

Kobo Arc 10HD Ghost Touch - FIX ?!

I've been using my Arc 10HD as a picture frame for the last few years going all day, plugged in all the time,
and recently I've noticed that the picture slideshow would stop randomly and found out it was ghost touches.
The reason was because the batteries inside started swelling a bit and it was pressing on the screen from the back,
so I took it apart and removed the charging board from in between the 2 battery cells and wired it to regular
rechargeable AA batteries giving me ~ 3.8v each and got it working 100% again ...

Now it's just a matter of ordering new cells, wiring it into the charging board and I should be ok ...
I guess the new cells would have their own charging board, but shouldn't
hurt anything to wire them into the one I salvaged from the unit.
This battery should do, I'll just order 2 of them:

Charging socket replacement (whole ribbon) - phone won't charge

Hi,
I replaced the usb-c charging ribbon (illustration below):

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
and now phone won't charge. Tested on 2 ribbons and 2 LeMax2 phones.
Behavior after installing new ribbon: I can see that phone draws 0,04A (measured) from the charger. Strangely UI shows charging current to be above 1A.
Interesting observation made - after disconnecting battery, re-connecting battery, then plugging usb-c cable, the charging starts. Current (measured) is above 1A. But the moment I turn on the phone, the charging drops to 0,04A.
Just like there's some software thing going on, phone communicating with charging chip (?) on the ribbon and telling it that it's unauthorized (?) for this phone. Old charging ribbon works fine (but socket is worn out). I'd appreciate any hints about how to "teach" the phone that new charging ribbon is fine.
Regards,
T.
