I am a new owner of a HTC touch dual, before i have a S100, what i am wandering is if it is possible to install a rom without all the stuff the HTC put in the rom, like HTC home and cube, just like in s100 a room with just the WM

@first im new here *more in to PC tweaking *
I mentioned that the HW of the prophet and the HTC Touch p3450 are the same except the keypad....*correct me if im wrong*
but if it is the same can i use a touch p3450 rom ???
cause i think it should be possible the prophet has more keys so if someone is still wanting to develop something why not start with a htc p3450 rom and rebuild it with more keys assigned

No, you can't use another ROM which aren't especially designed for the HTC Prophet!
If you flash it, the best what can be done is that your devicxe is hanging at the bootscreen! So, please test it not before you're a profi user!

I wanted to install HTC Home Customizer but after installing this it says I should install HTC Home plugin. When I download this I get an error stating the plugin isn't available/suitable for my device.
Am I doing something wrong or is there a workaround? Who can help me?
MORE INFO: It probably has to do with the fact that I have a Dutch version of the phone and the HHC wants to install an English version of the plugin. So where can I get a Dutch version of Home plugin of HHC???

the customizer wont work?, it is normal , you dosnt have a htc-home-plugin.
the s740 is a smartphone... and the only thing a smartphone can use is the gregory-version of the plugin.
there is no dutch, no spanish, no german and so one, only wwe for all.

Seems the knowlegde of the average user in here is way out of my league. As you can tell I'm totally new to this. Do you have any sugestion as where I might start my search for knowledge. Maybe a website or blog, where noobs like me can learn the abc of costomizing my s740...
the s740 is a especially device, if you are a newby or advance , the only things of knowlegde about this device, is in the threads of this sub-forum. someday here is more then that, but for now its all, sorry

You can go back to the HTC Home there is in the smartphone or you need to install it again ?

It´s not my first time posting here, I´ve got a Magician too and hardly, i´ve been able to install new roms and customize (more or less) my htc...
But i´m having problems with mi nike... I just want to find an stable rom (in spanish if its possible) and customize it more or less like the last magician rom from cotulla with manilla 2d ??? (something similar to diamond original or touch 3g). In my travel trying to do it i found a rom in htcspain that more or less worked well, but finally it started to get problems getting halt ? (stoped, i hope its the wright word) , not working some of the functions, getting to hot, slowing...
So, maybe what I need is the official rom and just try to customize it ?? I´m trying to read everything (I have not written it without trying to learn by my own) but as you can see my english is not the best and i´m just starting in this world....
So, trying to resume, can anyone tell me how to do it ?? I mean, i´ve done the hard - spl (so mi nike is now free) and i have installed roms, so i need to know wich rom to install and how to customize it (in the magician i got a file that i just installed in my pda and it did it everything alone....)
Finally, I think that it´s absolutely necessary to thank everybody here, cause you all have a lot of patiente and dedicate a precious time to help "dumb" people like me, i saw it clearly during my magician experiment....

Finally done. I´ve found an spanish web which uses some material similar to yours but in spanish (maybe it´s your material translated, i don´t know) and my nike is working really really well.

Well i'm affraid there are no officially for it, but You can monitor this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=849717, cotulla and his team are still developing.
About Android, it's as simple as copying needed files to Your SD card, run it and enjoy it. For Androids, just go to Android development thread, choose one You like and see instructions for it.
I think the closest you'll get to a genuine WP7 on HD2 experience is to install Android and install the new MetroUI for Android.

wew WP7 on Android, i mean WM6.5 HD2 with Android with WP7 customization, only Windows Phone can do it

This launcher actually works quite well on Android and nearly perfectly mimics WP7. It has some refinement to undergo, though.

I have Mighty Rom 6.5 installed on my HTC Touch Pro, but due to some problem with the ROM, I would like to re install the ROM, I tried to download the ROM form Mighty Rom's website, but its down. can anyone provide a alternative link for the same, it will be a great help..
