Guten abend,
ich habe meinen MDA 2 (HTC Himalaya) auf windows mobile 6.0 upgegraded, so und nun kann ich das update nicht mehr runtermachen, habe leider ein englisches drauf!
an windows vista erkennt er das gerät noch, bei xp kann er sich nicht verbinden, "HTC" meint ich solle ein anderes active sync benutzen, habe aber die aktuellste drauf, habe mich schon im forum umgeschaut, aber keine wirkliche antwort gefunden!
wenn ich den HTC in den Bootloader-modus bringe kann ich kein system ändern,
Gerät wird dann nicht gefunden.
ich würde gern wieder die version 2003 drauf machen, aber finde dazu auch kein ROM, würde mir jemand bitte helfen!

just put it manually in bootloader menu and connect it to your computer. then you can downgrade to wm2003.
aren't there usb drivers for wm6 around on the forum to connect it with xp?
and off course, you need active sync 4.5 or higher.....

I'm not PDA expert, but I never had ActiveSync issues with upgrading from 2002 to 2003 to WM5 to WM6.
Just make sure you meet these requirements:
1. ActiveSync 4.5
2. Enable Advanced Network Functionality is checked.
(Start > Settings > USB to PC)

I wanted to update my S200 (new ROM) and got an anoying error:
After the first step my S200 won't connect to ActiveSync. I had this several months earlier and found an workaraound by using USB-Switch on PPC. But now I can't put USB-Switch on the PPC.
Here is what I figured out:
- disconnected S200, deinstalled AS, did an regclean with RegCleaner, reboot PC, installed AS4.5, reboot PC, connected. => AS doesn't recognise S200.
- AS has two problems: "got no IP ..." and "could not establish connection..." (translated into english because I get german messages )
- then I restarted the DHCP service on my PC => only the second message left
- my S200 even in networkplaces is recogniced and it tells me the LAN is connected! BUT the "vermalledeite" ActiveSync tells me its not! When I do the connection checking it tells me AS is connected
And (very confusing) this is, what the AS Log says:

Pinging Desktop gateway 192.168.2.1 started
Ping echoed successfully
Pinging Device 169.254.2.2 started
Ping echoed successfully

Hier meine Lösung für die Firewall.
Ich musste bei der Firewall einige Ports per Hand zur Freigabe einrichten
und zwar folgende:
(TCP eingehend: 990-990,999-999,5678-5678,5721-5721,26675-26675)
(UDP ausgehend: 5679-5679)
Danach wurde das Gerät wieder einwandfrei erkannt Nach Softwareupgrade jetzt auch mit WM6 keine Schwierigkeiten)
Es kann aber auch an der Partnerschaft liegen..
ActiveSync synchronisiert seit der Version 4.x nicht mehr über ein proprietäres PRotokoll, sondern eben über TCP/IP. Beim Anschluss des PDAs am PC wird eine IP-Adresse im 168.-Segment zugewiesen, und auf dem Weg werden dann die Daten ausgetauscht.
Nun kann irgendeine Einstellung, die verdeckt Einfluss auf die Partnerschaft hat, dazu führen, dass das nicht vernünftig funktioniert.
Lösch mal die Partnerschaft im Outlook und lass das Gerät neu erkennen, das kann helfen!

Also I tried to install the ROM once again, but the installtion didn't want to start.

My problem is, that I can't copy some files on my XDA, because the explorer doesn't open the file directory.
Also the ROMUpdateUtiliy freeze by 0%
Vielleicht versuche ich es auch einfach mal auf deutsch.
Mein Problemn ist, dass wenn ich versuchen will ein neues ROM zu installieren, die Nachrichte bekomme, dass die Verbindung zu meinem XDA fehlgeschlagen ist, obwohl ich das Handy über USB mit dem PC verbunden habe.
Kann ich vielleicht nur O2 ROMs benutzen ?
Ich kann zumindest nicht mehr per Explorer auf das Verzeichnis auf dem Handy zugrifen oder irgendwelche Dateien drauf kopieren.
Dass einzige, was ich sehe, wenn cih das Handy starte ist der Rot-GRÜN-Blaue Bildschrim. Ein Hard- oder Soft Reset funktioniert auch nicht mehr.
So langsam denke ich, dass das Handy damit kaputt ist.

Nothing works!
The problem is that I can't copy the sspl file on my device.
The other problem is that every hardspl stops by 0% because the installer says there's no connection to my device.
Is there an alternative way to hardspl, maybe from sd card?

ich betreibe mein Handy HTC Touch Dual über rSAP im Auto an der Freisprecheinrichtung.
Seit ich auf dem Phone Windows Mobile 6.1 drauf habe, funktioniert das ganze auch richtig gut.
Allerdings nerven die Popup-Meldungen auf dem Handy bezüglich Verbindung hergestellt bzw. getrennt.
Wenn diese wenigstens von alleine wieder verschwinden würden, aber man muss sie jedemal wegdrücken.
Gibt es eine Möglichkeit diese Meldungen irgendwo in der Registrie oder sonstwo abzuschalten?
Ich hatte mal ein selbstgekochtes ROM (Tom´s NIKI Project) drauf, da waren die Meldungen auch weg.

Habe ein HD 2 mit Tmobile Branding und möchte jetzt Android drauf machen.
Dazu habe ich gelesen sollte ich MAGLDR installieren.
Damit ich MAGLDR installieren kann muss ich mein SPL auf 1.42 bekommen ist immoment auf 1.6 iwas.
Wer kann mir mit dem scheiß weiterhelfen ich blick einfach nich mehr durch.
Und ist es ratsam eine Goldcart zu erstellen und wenn ja wie geht das?
Danke allen die mir weiterhelfen bin auch gerne bereit eine Gebühr zu bezahlen und mein Handy weiterzugeben damit mir jemand Android drauf macht.

my hd2 stuck after flash rom used MAGLDR
hi all, i have a problem after install MAGLDR to my HD2 rom, after reboot screen show HTC and no respon...i can't do anything cause usb not detect at pc..
before i flash my rom version is 3.14.707.3(04666) WWE, radio Version 2.15.50.14...and my spl is 1.42 before install MAGLDR...i need help to resolve this problem....plzzzzz
already pushed reset while holding volume down to enter into bootloader screen but can't flash cause my pc not detect usb, and fail to flash.....
the tricolor screen just show about 1 second...after that i connect usb...

You can always flash back to stock via SD Card then start over. Go to the HD2 Rom section for direction. Unlike Older HTC Devices, if you install a Rom via SD Card it will reset the phone back to stock. You will need to reapply SPL.
I NAND flashed my HD2 yesterday. I did have issues with it stickign to Waiting for USB after added MAGLDR. However, it finally took. I had to do as the thread in the HD2 section suggested and hook up the phone then open Activesync and uncheck ALLOW USB.

i have tried to put hspl 2and3 but i get an error with the number00000005
and then wrong or bad spl.
i have tried to download another htc original ROM, but i still have the

currently i try to finalize my self cooked rom. It's based on the latet ASIA_WWE ROM 1.37.728.3 , latest radio and Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Build 29007 (or other WM6.5.3 build 23152 or 21686).
But currently i am experiecing some problems:
1. When the phone is in power saving mode (i.e. Display off), sometimes when i reactiavte the phone and take the slider to unlock, the display is switched off again and and locked too. How to fix this?
2. On first start, the screen where i have to accept or decline the google localization service, there is no text. Even a Ceckbox that is checked and two buttons. The buttons are already clear (no text). Could anyone tell me which files contains this text so that i can replace it?
3. There is another text problem with the program that is launched after google localization service. In german official htc rom (1.28.407.1) there is a link that points youtube.com . Which file contains this text and have to be replaced with a fixed one???

Welche veränderungen hast du an deinem ROM vorgenommen? Es kann sein das ein Programm welches du in deinem Rom hinzugefügt hast sich mit etwas anderem nicht verträgt. Dieses Problem habe ich auch schon des öfteren gehabt, dann startete beim ersten start die Telefon einrichtung nicht, oder sprang direkt zum Startbildschirm.

Also so tief bin ich bisher nicht ins System eingetaucht, ich hacke zwar auch sehr viel am System von Windows, jedoch hatte ich bisher keine Zeit mich so sehr mit den Systemdateien die tief im System sind zu beschäftigen.
Der Sinn des Asia Roms besteht doch darin das es die neuste Version für das HTC Mega ist, oder?

Ich würde zwar auch das neue Orange-ROM verwenden, aber das hab ich im Netz noch nicht gefunden, außer bei HTC selbst. Aber da komme ich nicht ran, weil meien Seriennummer des Grätes nicht paßt... Da ich jezt noch mehr Probleme habe (Google Mobile Maps geht nicht, Office Mobile 2010 öffnet keinen Dokumente, etc.) werde ich jetzt wohl alles nochmal von vorn beginnen. Ich werde aber dabei anders vorgehen. Basis wird die deutsche Firmware sein und ich werde nur die neueren Packages aus dem ASIA-ROM bzw. dem T-Mobile-ROM verwenden. Mal sehen, ob ich so voran komme...

And there i could not download it, because my serial is not accepted. But, it seems that there are more problems with my rom ( Google Mobile Maps does not run, Office Mobile 2010 doesn't open any documents and so on), so i will restart the project from the beginning. This time i try to use HTC GER stock ROM as baseand only update the packages from ASIA-WWE ROM or T-Mobile ROM. Lets see if i could eliminate the problems...

now i have remixed ext packages from ASIA_WWE_1.37.728.3 and HTC_GER_1.28.407.4 again and i am able to fix this page where you have to accept or decline Google Location service. But the last text oage is not fixed right now but thats no problem because it seems that there's only advertising for YouTube and others...
The Problem with Google Mobile Maps is already fixed, becaue there are many app.dat and app.reg files that point to the path "Program Files".
So i think it's Ok right now.

EzInput keyboard not hiding
Hi,
i have another problem with my self cooked rom. At this time it's related to EzInput v2.1 (latest one from ASIA-WWE-ROM_1.37.728.3).
Whenever i try to hide the keyboard by pressing the middle of the softbuttons the menu for changing the input method will open instead of hiding the keyboard.
Is there a way to fix this?
I want to have to do a long press on the middle softkey to open the sip menu and a short click to hide and show the input panel.

The WM 6.5.5 rom that I've flashed on my phone does this too. Wondering why. The only way I avoided this was to tap the middle icon quickly and sharply. After a few tries, the keyboard will hide. It would be nice if the delay could be increased though.
Btw, I'd love if I could cook my own ROM. What kitchen is used? I can't seem to find any kitchen posted in the wiki? Or maybe I looked at the wrong place. d:
it´s feature of WM6.5.5 If you tap on icon, SIP menu will be displayed, but if you tap left side, keyboard will hide.
