Button lock missing? Because of ROM or SPB Pocket Plus? - Mogul, XV6800 ROM Development

Hello, I remember seeing a long time ago somewhere in the control panel where you can set an option that only lets the power button wake up the device. If you press any of the other buttons while the device is sleeping it wont wake up. That is the default setting, so I never have to mess with it. Over the years I have forgotten where that setting is. I am now running DCD 3.0.0. I decided to give SPB Pocket Plus a try recently. One of the features it has is that it extends your buttons and gives you press and hold options for the buttons. I have now started noticing that if my device is sleeping ANY button will wake it up. I cannot find the "lock all buttons except for power button" option in the control panel either. Is it gone from the ROM? Or did SPB PP delete this option? Where should the "lock all buttons except for power button" be?? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
*EDIT*
Never mind. Found it. I feel very stupid. As soon as I posted this thread I take a look in the DCD 3.0.0 thread and someone was asking the same thing.
Settings->System->Key Lock
Can't believe I missed that. Please lock this thread.

Ha, I did the same damn thing. I think I was the first to ask that question. It was just weird because it was never an issue in the earlier roms. I felt pretty stupid too.

Is it not here?
Start menu --> Settings --> System --> Key Lock

No, its missing!
Got the same problem at a new Prophet ROM, is there any chance of getting the Keylock page back up?

Zotho,
You could buy the $8 AE Button Plus and program the buttons to your heart's content.

Phone wakes up after pushing any button?

I'm running DCD 3.0.1 rom, is this normal that my phone will wake up from standby whenever I push any button on it like a call or anything button? I don't really like that cause I'm always hitting keys and changing stuff while my phone is in my pocket and I rather just have it be the power button on the side like it used to work...is there a simple fix for this?

Hit Start, Settings then System Tab. Click Key Lock and make sure "Lock all buttons expect Power button" is selected.
start-settings-system-keylock-
choose "lock all buttons except power button."
thank you both! that fixed it, funny i never opened that settings option to look what was in there, i always thought that had to do with the stock sprint lock feature that i never used

Disable Volume Buttons on the Touch Pro

I am looking to see if there is any freeware app or reg hack to disable the volume buttons on the side of Touch Pro. I have an end user that keeps accidentally turning the volume down on his ringer and missing calls. Happens to be my boss so its a big deal for me to keep this from happening.
Any other thoughts on how I can achieve what I need would be greatly appreciated.
Well there are 2 ways. AE Button Plus allows one to remap their keys (or unmap them). This solution works ok, but I don't like having a 3rd party app running all the time.
There was a program created by a XDA user over in the Wizard forums or something that essentially directly reprogrammed your Volume keys to "Page Up/Page Down" which works VERY well. Pretty useful for scrolling through contacts and webpages.
I searched and found it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=256525
There are 2 versions. The first one seemed to disable the volume keys but the second one worked pretty good. I used it on my Fuze for a while. Try it out.
I'd like to see something a little more "geared" toward the Touch Pro's. Obviously the developer is pretty close to a remap solution.

[Q] Any Way to Press Power Button Twice to Turn On?

I hate using the slider to unlock the phone, and the fingerprint reader is nice but can miss sometimes. I'd rather just be able to push the power button twice to wake & go to Home (just like pressing Menu twice on the G1 to wake).
Does anyone know of a way to do this? Are there any programs that can get rid of the slider screen?
Search for a program called NO LOCK in the market. I don't like having to swipe to unlock either...
That's exactly what I was looking for! Thanks
Awesome! Glad I could help.

[Q] On-Screen Power Button (Power button Not Responsive)

Hey Guys,
My power button has become kinda un-responsive and I guess my i9100 is out of warranty already. At first I thought it was the ROM and I flashed another rom only to realise it's the same thing.
Does anyone know a on-screen power button app or such?
I saw http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2151326 but it is an app, i would have to exit my current app, open another app and select power off, it's kinda lengthy .
I was wondering if there was an app like assistive touch of iOS (http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UsO76BmQCJ4/Tu58i5wshhI/AAAAAAAAAF0/LnjJJR_lChw/s1600/photo+1+%282%29.PNG) which is able to add actions like power off (the ones in store seem unable to do that).
Thanks guys
Edit: Found a app that is somewhat similar to assisted touch, it creates a sidebar (like multi-window is LSJ) with all the options, I guess I'm gonna stick to that for now but would love to see if anyone has any other solution/suggestion. The app I am using is: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.droid.assitant
If you shut down your device via on screen wiget, will you be able to power it back up?
I suggest just getting the phone fixed.
Sent from my digital submersible hovercraft.
That's something I didn't think of, the power button works if i press it a few times so for now it's alright. I guess when I return back to my home town would fix it there then.

Remap power button?

I haven't been able to figure out a way to remap the physical power button. There was an xposed module that worked great long ago, but hasn't been updated to work with oreo. I want to be able to press/long press/double tap/whatever the power key to take me to the home screen. I've used the fingerprint sensor apps, but they're hit or miss at different times, which is more frustrating than not having it. The other button mapper programs seem to work for volume keys only. Rooted/Running LOS ROM
Remapping the power button seems like such a bad idea to me. What happens if you need to reboot?

Why? What does your "home" button do? On my Nova launcher, home button takes me immediately to home screen and much easier/faster than trying to double tap fingerprint sensor, which currently turns off/on display.
Or long tapping, which currently gives you reboot options.
Remapping power button seems like an answer in search of a problem, which would cause more problems?

Home button takes me to home screen as well, which is usually where I want to go. If I'm holding the phone it's much easier to press a physical button to get back. I rarely reboot, so could do away with that. On my G3, I had all the buttons on the back mapped to pull up assistant, go back, go to home screen using single/double/short/long taps. It was MUCH faster to do that. Anyway, I like it, it existed before, I want to know if I can get it back.

So found a program called "powy". It can intercept the power button keypress and then trigger tasker. It can't distinguish long v. short press, but you can program power button to trigger by pressing 1x/2x/3x/etc. Not as good as xposed additions (which hasn't been updated since MM), but functional and better than nothing.
