I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a app to change the button that powers up the phone out of sleep.
Normally you press the power button and then unlock drag with your finger.
I would love to see it changed to the optical button press, as it's the only feature of the iphone i like
maybe you can use Screen Mode Widget ,change it's state to 'Awake Stay',then the device will not screen lock but will dim(press any button will awake the screen).Try it

me too
Slide function doesnt seem to work.
I usually press the optical button or home button the im able to slide the screen to unlock, do not think this is implemented coz then the display will turn on and off if you fx has it a pocket.
If you press any button does the screen come to life? I mean are you able to unlock device? if so then it works

I've also used LockBot Free cuz I don't really like the HTC lock screen. How ever I stop using it because it wakes my phone with any button I press and I tense to hit the volume rocker all the time. but it is a good alternative.
Anybody tried this method from desire topic? (root needed)

The Bluetooth button on the phone screen (during a call) has never worked for me. To turn on bluetooth I have to go back to home screen and turn it on from there. Is this only my phone or is this true for others?

I haven't used Bluetooth recently, but as an option you could also put the Bluetooth widget in the strip of notifications power widget, available when you pull the notification bar down. More convenient than on the in-call screen anyway.
Configure what widgets are present and what order they're presented in here -> Settings/CyanogenMod settings/Interface/Notification power widget
From there choose "Widget buttons" to choose what widgets to show, and "Widget button order" to change what order they're shown in.
Hint: If you unchoose all the notification power widgets from the "Widget buttons" menu, and then re-choose only the ones you want and in the order you want them, you won't have to re-order them in the "Widget button order" menu.
Thanks, I actually had the button on the notification screen, just hadn't thought of using it during a call yet. Good idea! I'm still curious why the in-call button doesn't work, but this will make it easy enough to turn on.
Just flashed from GSBv2.2G to GSBv2.5 this morning and haven't tried that bluetooth button on the phone screen yet.
I'm using the notification power widget and it works like a charm. Super fast compared to stock.

You're welcome! Probably just an oversight in the CM7 development.
When I first got it, the volume button would wake up the phone. A few days later it stopped doing it. Maybe I changed some settings but I've been looking thru them all and can't find it.
Was this a bug? I know most people need apps to be able to do that from what I read.
It was so much nicer than pressing the power button. *sigh*
I like waking up the phone with the volume buttons as well. I use a program known as widgetsoid 2.x, you can download it from the market, that lets you unlock the screen - meaning that you can wake the phone with the power button or volume rockers and won't need to slide to unlock it either.
WidgetLocker allows you to wake up the screen, and thus unlock the phone, from the volume keys as well.
DK
So you can't do it without an app?
Must have been just a tease. lol
I was hoping there was something simple in the settings somewhere.
Download No Lock, it allows you to use the volume rocker + power button to wake up the phone and gets rid of the lock screen for those of us that don't like it.
I use NoLock as well. Occasional Opera Mobile errors when waking the phone up, but overall NoLock works well...
Thanks, tried no lock. Works pretty well. Few times it still locked but I can live with that.
Thanks, No Lock was much better than widget locker that i've been using. The slider in widget locker is so slow/laggy.
You can also download "lock screen" to be able to lock screen by touching an icon instead of the horrible power button.

Atrix Wake Up On Volume Down Button
If you are using a custom ROM with cyanogen mod go on settings-cyanogen settings- input- and tick volume rocker wave.
this will allow you to wake your Atrix without using the annoying power button.
If this helps please press thanks.

Just in case anyone needs help.
The Truesmart buttons on the side seem to only have one function (on/off for top, back for bottom) but is there a way to reassign a function to these buttons? Like long press for settings or volume or home screen?
The reason I ask is, if I'm using music or Maps I have to hit the back button four or five times to get back to the home screen to do something else, like adjust volume. This also undoes anything that's going on in the app I'm "backing" out of. Anyone have a solution?

THANK YOU! You are awesome, this solved my problem. It was driving me nuts to not have a home button!
Hi, actually the side keys adjust the volume of multimedia contents, is possible to switch the side keys to adjust the ringtone volume with a Magisk module? Thanks.

I would love and prob pay for such a mod. Also a widget or shortcut for the damn Google home devices volume sliders. But that's wishful.

It is working. There is option "Default to ring volume" and it works. Probably it is available only in paid version.

On Pixel Experience at least, when streaming to a Google Home, when you press the volume buttons, two sliders pop on the right side of the screen (Yes on PE they are on the right, not the left). One for the media, and a second for the "Cast" volume.
But on Oxygen, never found how to do this.
