So I'm trying to reflash the stock VZW rom back onto my phone (2.09). First off, do I need to flash both the Radio and the ROM or will the ROM contain the radio as well? Secondly, when do I finally run the relock program? If I run it before flashing everything, I can't flash the new ROM on to my phone, it will just hang at 0%. Right now I'm trying it (again) with it unlocked, but then I just get it sitting at the Verizon logo and it won't boot past that. Any ideas?
It's sitting at the verizon white screen when? After flashing? Before flashing?

Greetings all. I made an error during the upgrade to the new 3.16 ROM and accidently booted back to the stock bootloader before flashing the radio. Now I freeze on the splash screen because my ROM is the 3.16 and my radio is the old stock, so I need the VX 6800 verizon stock image to go back and then forward, or a way to get the 2.4 bootloader back on so I can flash the radio forward. utstar.com does not have it and the sprint one gives a vendor ID error, so I need the VZW image, anyone got ??????Thanks
Put your phone in bootloader mode (hold power and camera while soft reseting). Now flash the radio ROM. It should work fine.
Failed, because ...
Because the bootloader got back to stock and it will not let me upgrade it again, guess it is stuck til i get stock ROM
Then flash the new bootloader. You shouldn't need to go back to the stock ROM to accomplish this. However, the stock ROM is on the PPCGeeks FTP. In vboyz files.
How do I get there ????
I am a member there as well but how do I get to the FTP server you speak of ??
You don't need the stock rom.
Connect your phone to the computer via USB.
Hold the power button, camera button, and use the stylus to soft reset all at the same time, this will put you into the bootloader.
Your PC should detect the phone and it should say USB at the bottom of your phone.
Run the 2.4 bootloader self extracting executable and use the RUU to flash the bootloader...if the self extracting executable doesn't work, you can just extract the files and run the .bat file.
Once the new bootloader is on there, you'll have to get into the bootloader using the power button, camera button, and soft reset again due to the fact that you have the ROM on there without the new radio. (your phone will freeze at the verizon splash screen).
Once back into your freshly flashed bootloader, follow the same instructions above and flash the radio.
Done.
If you do decide to go back to stock, remember that Verizon's latest version is 2.09 (Sprint is at 2.17 or something).
I need it too.
Just in case I have to send the phone in for repair.
been trying all that for hours
I have been trying all the ways you have mentioned for hours and with the 3.16 ROM and the old radio and bootloader it will not let me do the new bootloader,,,,,,,just have to find the 2.09 stock ROM, my only way out at this point. My login at geeks will not let my to the ftp server.
I know this has been posted in the forum here a couple of time but here it is again (though specific to the Verizon ROM folder). ftp://up.ppcgeeks.com/Titan/Users/vboyz

Something must be up....
There's no reason why you would need the stock rom to flash your bootloader....
Guess you can try it though.
I seem to have done the same thing, however when I go to reload the newer bootloader it freezes at 0% and I get the ERROR [262]: UPDATE ERROR each time, even when going through the "recovery" process it guides through.
Any ideas?
Heres where we are now, conclusion
Well to update everyone on whats happening: The unit was less than a month old so the VZ store swapped it out for me, although I wish I could have kept it to putter with because I think I know what went wrong and how to fix it. First of all, I too had the bootloader fall back to the stock one and I got the error mentioned above saying that it could not copy the files for the 2.04 bootloader, so it was stuck with the 3.16 ROM, the old radio, and the old bootloader which causes the thing to freeze at the splash screen, and because of the stated incompatability between the old bootloader and the new ROM is causing the error at 0% when copying files. The reason I wanted to fall back to the stock 2.09 ROM was because I know it would load and allow me to go forward again. The reason I know is that I got the Sprint 2.09 from the utstar.com page and it went to 2% on the ROM before giving the 'VENDOR ID' error and stopping, so this means that it would take the VZ load if I could get it, but it is not on the utstar page. I did get the file from VZBOYZ ftp but I am pretty sure that it is not totally stock as it goes to 0% and fails, not even as far as the sprint ROM did so I think that it fails the needed checksum validation in the stock bootloader. If I had suspected that the stock image was not available in the first place, I never would have gone forward with it in the first place and would avise all others (Verizon units that is) NOT to do it either until a true stock ROM and radio load exist to put it back. VZBOYZ does not have the radio load so even if it passed the validation and put the ROM back you would have a brick because the radio load needs reverting also. Sprint users are lucky because you have this, and I will try again once I know I have the stuff to go back. Thanks for all the help and someone please let me know if the real stock loads do appear somewhere, probably will happen when Verizon releases the 2.17 update then the 2.09 for them will appear on the utstar page i bet. Thanks all.

this little bit of info helped me with the same issue. and my phone after 228 was able to make and get calls and also use the internet.
i now have the new radio and the new dcd 2.20 rom
I have since learned (After reading through hundreds of posts on this thread), that is WRONG for the VX6800. After installing the bootloader Hard_MFG_SPL_2.40_RUU_signed, I should have installed the Radio 3.27 Rom FIRST, and THEN the Titan 2.0 Rom.
Just to let you know in more detailed terms what I did to get out of stuck nightmare that is the Verizon white screen with the red letters and big graphic check mark on top:
(1) Got the Tricolor Bootloader Screen to come up. You must simultaneously: (a) hold down the power button; (b) hold down the camera button; and (c) use your stylus to press the little reset button in the hole at the bottom of your VX6800. This should pop up the Tricolor Bootloader screen if you'd installed this first, as instructed.
(2) Then plugged the VX6800 into the computer's USB port. As the bootloader earlier instructed, I made sure that USB was NOT enabled in "Windows Mobile Device Center" (should be in your start->programs menu). Click on connection settings and turn off the checkbox for USB connection.
(3) Then ran the RADIO 3.17 Rom loader (not the Titan 2.0). It loaded in Radio 3.27 without a hitch. The VX6800 then rebooted. It was not stuck on the white Verizon screen with the red lettering.
(4) Then ran the Titan 2.09 Rom loader. It loaded without a hitch. It then rebooted, and I was done with this portion.

Verizo 6800
After following the rom and radio upgrade steps I relocked the phone using Titan relocker as I was instructed. Now I get the rainbow boot screen showing SPL 1.06. Now the phone won't take any other programming on the USB. The best luck I had was using the Sprint rom but that fails at 11% with an wrong provider error. The Verizon rom fails at 0%. I tried relocking again and unlocking but all attempts fail. Any help would be appreciated.

I would like to know WHERE you found the instructions that said to relock the phone after upgrading to a custom rom and radio.
Also please provide more information in your post...are you upgrading from verizon stock? Are you trying to flash a custom 3.0.x rom with the new 3.35.04 radio?
More Info
Upgraded from stock 2.09 to Titan 2.10 then Titan radio 3.27. All Went well then the relocker!

"Upgrade to 3.35.651.2:
3. If running pre-3.16 code,
>a. run the relocker
(don't worry about getting out of the bootloader - tri-color screen)"
It won't get out of the tri-color bootloader and won't respond to downloads. The computer can't see the phone on the usb port.
You should ignore the name in "re-locker" You don't have to re-lock anything after flashing. Now your best bet is to run olipro's 2.40. It is the new Titan un-locker, then flash your ROM.
The problem you're having is you're trying to flash a 3.0.x rom on your phone and you have a stock bootloader that will only flash/boot verizon signed roms. I'm not sure who wrote that tutorial, but you don't have to relock anything after you unlock (unless you're trying to flash BACK to stock).
Run 2.40-olipro titan unlocker to unlock your phone again so you can run the sprint/htc update. Then cook a verizon 3.0.x rom, or flash the clean rom already cooked.
Wont work now

I do not think he is not going to be able to run 2.4 in from the bootloader screen because it is not signed by VZW. He is going to need a stock VZW RUU, run it in, then he can go forward again.
Right...i kind of assumed he knew this by me posting that 1.06 would only flash/boot signed verizon roms. I guess I shouldnt have assumed.
You need to get the stock verizon rom AND radio...flash them from the bootloader youre in. Once the stock stuff is on there...let the phone boot up. Now you can unlock with 2.4...and run the sprint update once again...and after that...a custom 3.x.x verizon rom.
Do NOT relock after!
aThanks
Where can I find a stock verizon Rom?

^^ if you need more info about the stock verizon rom flashing
I have a Sprint Mogul and for some reason it won't boot. I have tried flashing dcd 3.2.6, nueROM pre3, and Sprint latest official ROM. Flashing works just fine, but when it goes to boot the HTC screen flashes for a second and then goes away. Sometimes, after 5 minutes it will boot up, but 99% of the time it just stops. Anyone got any ideas?
Update to a good bootloader. I recommend nueSPL-2.47 and see if that doesn't help it boot. Also take out the SD card to make sure it isn't having problems reading it and locking it up on boot.
The only time I've ever changed the bootloader is when I'm in Windows. How else would you do it?
I have tried flashing the Bootloader from the SD, from a stock ROM, and from a custom ROM, but it is still 2.47. I can't seem to downgrade to 2.40.

There is no need to downgrade.....why are you wanting to do that? After flashing did you pull the battery and the perform a hard reset?
I was just trying anything to get the phone to boot. I have pulled the battery and hard reset after flashing the bootloader and ROMs.
Hi I'm looking for some help. I tried upgrading my XV6800 to the windows 6.5 rom but I think I might of messed up. I tried to update my radio first but ran in to issues.
I used Oilpro 1.20 to try and tried to update the radio but along the way messed up while trying an older rom and I'm currently at a Verizon screen with the message "NO RADIO" at the bottom. I'm assuming the radio rom was erased. I might have gotten confused with the roms and used a rom without the appopriate Radio. When I try to flash that rom back to a stock Verizon upgrade it just ends 11% in to the flashing process and the rom update utility returns a Error 290 screen.
Currently I can get the oilpro 1.20 bootloader to still load up but I'm not sure what to do at this point. I tried updating the ROM to DCD's older 3.20 roms, which did complete but I still have that screen coming up. Can anyone give me some suggestions on what I should do next? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try using NueSPL 2.47 it's more current
Doesn't have have to be run on the phone itself once inside Windows? The only screen I can get up is the Verizon (splash) screen where it normally lists the rom and radio, or the oilpro boot loader screen. I actually can't get back in to windows to run the nueSPL 2.40.exe file.
Is there a way for me to flash the radio back from a bootloader screen and USB or SD card? The thing is I actually tried to take the 3.42.40 radio and use the Flash Rom Utility to see if it would flash the radio rom back on but even though the process completes successfully, I still get the no radio error so I guess it doesn't work. Thanks for the help, I think I may have been a few of the idiots out there who screwed things up and didn't make sure the radio was up before attempting any rom upgrade.
You should've changed the bootloader first. Your radios that you are trying are not compatible with your bootloader.
Flash an old stock rom via SD, then update your bootloader to 2.47 once you can get back into windows, then update your radio, and then your rom.
Yeah that was one of the first things I've tried a USB update back to the stock Verizon 6.1 ROM, but for some reason it prematurely ends at 11% with the PDA Phone Update Utility throwing a ERROR 290 message. This is the first time this has happened as I've flashed with this same rom tons of times. I've been looking online for the past hour on how to flash the ROM from a SD card if I can't get in to Windows. But all I could find was the USB update utility and it ends at 11% Am I doing it wrong? any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
If you can still get in the bootloader then you should be fine....I would put it manually in bootloader holding power and camera simultaneously and poke the hole to get it into bootloader.
Once you do that plug in the data cable and run Olipro 2.40 or Nue 2.47. It should be able to take after that.
Basics steps to flashing a phone:
correct unlocker-->stock ROM-->custom ROM
Most custom ROMs will not include Radios that why you would run the stock ROM first to install the radio and then run the custom ROM. Alot simpler then trying to update the Radio by itself.
AWESOME! I got it back up, thanks guys. For reference purposes I'm going to restate the problem and solution incase other noobs run in to the same issue.
PROBLEM:
I installed oilpro 1.2 during the process of installing a new radio then a rom. Along the way the rom install failed. I tried to reinstall a stock Verizon rom RUU 3.57 & 3.37 radio but it failed at 11%. I was then stuck at the splash screen with a message that said NO RADIO. I could still get in to the boot loader with the power and camera button. But the stock Verizon rom did not install anymore.
SOLUTION:
I used titan_exitbl.exe to exit the bootloader and I went back to an earlier rom found here, rom 2.09 & radio 1.30. That one actually installed. It seems to have worked. I'm back in windows now but I need to uninstall oil pro 1.2 and get nuSPL 2.47 on there before I move further (it looks like while it's still on the stock RUU won't work for me).
Do you guys know how I would go about uninstalling Oilpro 1.2? Will Titan_relocker do it for me? I'm not sure if installing nueSPL over oilpro will do it.
Use this ROm from Verizon to get the Stock 6.1 back up and running. It's the MR2 rom

Glad to hear you got your phone back up
As far as I know you should be able to just install 2.47 and it will overwrite your old bootloader without problems. I could be mistaken but there isn't really a way to "uninstall" a bootloader, just overwrite it with a different one.
unL33T is correct...just run Nue 2.47 and let it overwrite the old one. 8p
Yeah that's what I thought too, but when I tried to over right it with 2.47 the 1.20 showed up again so I used the titan_relocker tool. Maybe I did something wrong. I'll go recheck, thanks for the replies guys.
I really want to try out the GB 2.3.4 update on my atrix, but I want to make sure that its as easy to flash back to stock as it is to flash the Gingerbread rom.
I'm already unlocked, and fairly familiar with RSDLite
I wouldn't recommend doing this - I tried 2.3.4 and now, when trying to flash sbf 1.8.3 My phone goes into boot loop, red led is blinking and then it goes from Motorola logo to blank screen.
Couldn't find solution yet.
****update:
I have managed to solve this issue easily: Flashed unlocked bootloader again after flashing sbf of 1.8.3 - So now, from my point of view the only the difference between now and then if you want to revert back is that you may need to keep unlocked bootloader (unlocked is written when booting so it may be an issue if someone plans on returning/replacing his headset) I don't care since I earned a decent recovery mode and if anything goes wrong I won't be able to step into at&t anyway.. (live overseas)
btw, when I tried to fastboot oem lock it says option is not implemented
