Hi Guys, i have a small question, i am using TNT.SE, sometimes, after running Live MSN on my JASJAM, when i open my contacts, i find them empty!!, i go out and come back, and it's the same, after doing a soft reset it works out, can any one help in solving this?

I just flashed my Softbank with the new Tytn Rom from South Africa.
Everything seems fine. But when opening contacts, and I was trying to search for a name by typing it in (tried it with both keyboard and soft keyboard), but when ever I type anything, it just closes the program by itself, or freezes. If I just scroll down the list, it works fine. It's just the searching function that's messed up. Can any one please lead me in to finding the cause and solution? I think this is a very weird problem to have.
Please help.

Did you restore your contacts from pim.vol created from the previous rom? I had this problem when I restored mine created from xda Atom to my Artemis. So i had to delete it and grab the contacts from snycing with outlook
I always sync them from outlook at if my device dies then I always still have my contacts in outlook.
Second to Shark1's suggestion. I always use activesync to 'replace' all information on device during the first sync. As I said in the South Africa ROM thread, no contact search problems here running the SA v1.35 ROM.

So, the problem again:
hd2 htc calendar hangs in week-view
- does not hang in any other view of HTC Calendar, I've been using them all previously.
- MS (orig) Calendar still works. (I do not want to use that one. Besides, I do not like the idea of having a freezed-out application running all the time on my phone)
all other apps are running
htc calendar does not respond to any "tapping"
Do not know what to do with it. Soft reset does not change a thing, when I hit the Calendar icon on home screen, I get the bloody hanged application again.
Is there a way to change the view "offline"?
I would like to change to month view that way and never touch the "week" view option again.
Any other ideas?

I have a droid x and recently ordered an sIII. I had a few times where the x went out and when linking it back up to google i always had contacts that were missing that never got synced over. Currently some of the recent contacts I have entered are showing up in my work outlook contacts. I want to make sure that all of my contacts at minimum will transfer from my x to my new phone when I get it. What is the best method of doing this?
Anything else I should consider backing up when moving to the phone? I am not concerned as much about the applications as I can download those again.
Any suggestions welcome. Thanks for the help.

After pairing up my Gear s and looking in the contacts, I realized I had a lot that didn't need to be there. I went to my contacts on my phone and deleted the ones that i don't want but they still aren't coming off the watch. Whats odd is I can make a change to a contact like adding a picture or deleting the last name and that will sync up fine.
Does anyone have any ideas? Someone in another forum had the same issue and he said he had even reset his watch and that didn't work either.

Open contacts on your Gear S and on your phone at the same time with both devices connected through BT and delete the unwanted contacts from the phone andvthe automatically deleted a second later on the Gear S, I just figured this out today.
Thank you, that's great to know for the future but all the contacts that I want deleted off my watch are no longer in my contacts on my phone!

Must have took a minute or two for them to go away cool beans bro! :thumbup:
The way that works best for me is to go into your phones contact app, type in the identified unwanted name that is popping up on the Gear S contact list into the Phones contact search bar. Press and hold down on any contact. At this point the contact list switches over to another screen. Type in the unwanted contact. (The contact is hidden otherwise unless it is done this way.) Simply check and delete the contact from your phone. It will immediately be deleted from the Gear S. Kudos!

I have a SM-G9250, never rooted is factory stock with Android 5.1.1, which had been working with no trouble at all, however, this morning the contacts app started doing something funny,
I tried openning a contact and the app read: "Unfortunately, Contacts has stopped" and it shuts.
It only happens with a few contacts, not all will close the app, don't know how to fix, I have restarted several times, and did a back up and restore of the contacts only,
Has anybody come across this? I searched the forum but didn't find a thread about it,
Help is appreciated in advance.
Sign out / Delete of all your accounts that sync contacts . Restart your device. Then slowly add each one and let it resyc.
