http://www.andrewgrant.org/2007/08/24/making-a-35mm-headphone-adapter-for-the-cingular-3125.html
i did some modify of my own . i my spare sony ericsson headset instead of the one from electronic store(Less than $1) because sony ericsson unit have mic and button to answer call. and SMALLER = LOOK BETTER
just open up the sony ericsson mic unit and there is all the wiring label print on the small little circuit board. just follow the tutorial for the wiring code and solder onto it.

Isn't it easier to buy one of these for 5$ on ebay?

Thanks!

should be the case....
the sony heaset only applies to sony phones... so we poor xda people still need to either build our own... or get one of those for 20 bucks... which I think is quite a ripoff
I'm trying to fit my M2000 into my Audi. There is a pre wired loom which integrates with the stereo which is server by a 25pin din connector.
I've drawn a wiring diagram that gives me the car connections and the 9 pin din connection to the car PC for the GPS etc. The one area I am having difficulty with is muting the radio on an incoming / outgoing call. The manual says I have to ground pin 10 on the cars 25 pin din.
So which of the BA connector pins either will give me a positive voltage on a call or will go to ground on a call. So I can either run a relay to provide the ground or ground pin 10 directly. Any ideas?

What Audi do you have? I've an audi 2007 A4 and 2008 A6. What audi sound system do you have?
Hello!
My 2,5mm port is broken and I'm not really willing to repair it since that would cost more than what the telephone is worth.

Do you think that it would be possible to use this adapter instead?
Yes, it's a wizard..
Thanks alot! <3
No, that is for newer HTC devices that have the slanted ExtUSB port on them, and even then it will only allow you to have audio out of the USB port, not audio output and input like a headest with a microphone. Looks like ya need to get your 2.5mm fixed!
I had the same problem & bought a bluetooth stereo headset (jabra 3030)
Best decision ever !
Tcpmp: Settings: videos: -400ms audio "delay" helps ;-)
Sometime you need to set the bluetooth-settings again (Jabra = default stereo headset)

it has a 3-pole 3.5mm headphone jack with a microphone. Does the Sprint Touch Pro2 have to use the mini-usb in order for a headset to work? If so can i use an adapter (which i already own).
Thanks guys, i'd really appreciate any help you can give me, I just long to walk down the street in a suit and glasses, wearing one of these covert earpieces and occationally talking to the inside of my jacket.
Maybe it's just me but i get a kick out of the weird looks people give you when they're confused about who you are and what you are doing
Yeah It Would Work. Just Image Search "3.5mm Sprint Touch Pro 2" and You'll See It.
So the microphone would work no problems? i have no doubt the sound would come through, my real concern is with the micrphone, because the TP2 doesn't have any configuration for microphones in the software.
i have a sprint touch pro 2, and i have the earphones used for the iphone. the one with a button and a speaker.
it's just like this

Hello,
I'd like to record something but don't like Bluetooth microphone, nor do I like the tiny built-in phone's microphone.
Can I use (read: buy) a 3.5mm Corded microphone with the Atrix ?
In other words, when you bought new, does Atrix have a Corded headsets (mith microphone) ?
Easy way to check is: the plug has 4 terminals.
Thank you. It would be great if you happen to have tried with success.

Yes, this should work. I didn't get a headset with mine (I got it used), but I'm using a standard Blackberry headset with 4 terminals and it's working great.
However, I don't think the microphone built into those headsets is any bigger or better than the phone's built-in one(s)...
