Hey, i recently purchased a HTC Prophet (branded SPV M600 from orange) from a friend.
Since then i managed to get a WM6.1 rom on (shadow 2 i think)
Anyway, back when i did this, i found it very hard.
My prophet is not hardspl'd and i've having trouble changing the rom.
In my effort to change it, i 'bricked' it, however recovered it using one of those WM5 roms.
So my details:
IPL 2.20.0001
SPL 2.10.0001
GSM 02.07.20
Currently i'm running a WM5 rom, however i have managed a WM6.1 rom before, but cannot seem to do it again, whenever i get it installed it just boots to the bootloader.
When trying to HardSPL it just gives generic cannot connect errors.
I've used Prophet Tools aswell as manual guides but to no avail.
Am i doing something wrong?
And btw i'm using WinXP

Hey, turns out i wasn't following instructions properly - probably due to my tiredness!
I wasn't pressing the camera button on white screen... DOH!
Problem now solved and running 'Vista Clean'

tried to get my Orange Prophet fancy and everything so I found that the ProphetTouch could be very interesting. Followed the upgrade steps (for a G4) but I'm now stuck on the logo page with my IPL etc numbers...
It's on:
IPL 2.10.0001
SPL 2.10.0001
GSM 02.69.21
OS 6.0.0.0
Went to Bootloader, tried to reflash, not working, tried to go back to an earlier ROM, no success either.
Anything I'm missing?

Edit: ok, flashed to a previous WM5 rom. But still, I'd like to understand why my 'upgrade' to 'ProphetTouch' didn't work. Any idea?

where is your upgrade folder located on you computer?
How long did it take to uppgrated to Prophet Touch?

Respond to Gullum's post. You may have too long of a link when download was saved and dos has problems reading. Change to something like c:/prophet and make sure the download takes at least 10-20minutes.
It sounds, that he hadn´t made a hardreset in the right way. Or he touched the screen during the upgrade process. I did the same at my first upgrade. And i was hanging in the splash screen too.

WM6 works fine
I have read all I can, and have tried Flashing various ROMS and Radio's with no luck
It does not say No GSM, just R:None, G:None
I've tried the Mtty thing, did not help.
I tried Hard SPL, Not helping
Super CID, SimUnlock, Nothing
Can my GSM module (Hardware be Broken?)
Any help will be useful!

Same problem here seems like lots of radio's are getting broken now
Happend a few weeks ago and impossible to flash a radio.

Yep...and little help forthcomming.
I can flash a bios, I can flash a radio, I can do just about anything I like.
The PDA functions perfectly.
Just no phone!!
Our local agents are stumped as well.
They now want to replace the main board to get the GSM back!
I'll just hang on a while before I do that.
It seems there is something more going on at the moment, with an increase in dead radios.
Let's first see what the clever people come up with.

If this happened to me I'd at least try to reflash the factory rom that was on the phone. For me it would be oz telstra, but I'd flash WM06 instead of WM05 as I don't know where I'd find it.... Maybe the WIKI, but I wouldn't hold my breathe on that 1.

I took Qtek S200 used one, and the old host said he had problem with upgrade. I can't upgrade myself, and give it to master, master can't solve the problem, but when I came back and put it to upgrade with "220734 WWE ship" version it did well and I had working device for week, then it freesed once more, since I can do nothing. initially it has IPL 2.09.001 and SPL 2.20.0001, I did the program posted here - IPL upgrade and now I have IPL and SPL 2.20.0001. Phone enters bootloader normally, upgrade only with "220734", others doesn't go. When I switch it in normal mode it freeses as white screen on "Windoes mobile" screen, sometimes it goes further but final picture one - freesing.
Wait for Your advices.
P.S. In my city no official cervice...
Try a different ROM...
Put the device in bootloader,disable connect through USB in active sync, and run the RUU from a different ROM...

Here's my problem. (German T-Mobile MDA Vario II with Schaps 3.57 update)
I would now like to use the official T-Mobile WM6 version that has been released a few weeks ago, but I can't downgrade to any other version or even upgrade to Schaps 4.31 version.
I have read and tried everything stated here.
While trying to flash to hardspl v7, I always get the ERROR 260.
The MDA always shuts down, red-green-blue-white display, then a hole white display with LOADING (for a few seconds) and then again red-green-blue-white display, but then it always displays a different IPL and Spl version and just stands still.
Heres the point where I press the Soft-Reset-Button and it just starts up normal. If I go back and check the IPL and SPL it always shows the version from the beginning (IPL-1.01 and SPL 2.03).
Does anybody know the problem I have here?
Downgrading to any other version doesn't work either.

Suggest you swap USB ports, and also follow the guide HERE to the letter.
hey mrvanx, i followed your guide word for word and i still get error 260. i also followed your guide for vista. I just got my phone a few days ago and the only thing i did do it was upgrade to WM6 and Sim/cid unlock. can you help me out?

So you omitted telling us you run windows Vista?? Theres your problem!!!!
Get access to an XP machine and try with that.
I use XP, and still no chance.......

Problem is that you have SPL 2.03 and that is not HARDSPL,

I use XP MODE, i have the same problem, but i solve problem. In Xp Mode, you have to attach usb, when rom start upload it interrupts and you have to attach usb again- it work in my case. Sorry for my english
Hi guys I need some help. I have a Cingular HTC 8125, I was trying to upgrade the rom on it to a new WM6 and here is what happened.
I have been researching the topic for about 3 weeks.
Its a G4 Device being upgraded with VISTA w/ Moded drivers for Ative SYNC

I used the shell tool to install one of the roms waited about 2 hrs and finally noticed that the window was NOT RESPONDING so I had to shut down and start over. The phone got to the second screen but froze there now showing

On the Cingualr Background, I can still enter the Bootloader screen but nothing else?
Nothing else happens I cant connect the phone to the PC to do anything else.

I tried OEM Cingular rom but I get ERROR 260 No connection to the phone?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You should had firstly either hardspl or soft spl the phone b4 trying to load any rom
It's not bricked as long as you can see the RGB screen (Colors red, green and blue)showing the same IPL/SPL such as yours; IPL: 2.25.0001 and SPL: 2.25.0001. AND PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR DEVICE CAUSE ITS G4 MEANING YOU CAN NOT JUST INTALL/FLASH ROM. Make sure that the Rom you flash not contain G3 IPL and SPL which is 2.xx.001. If so, then you will bricked your device.
Desiji is right, you should install rom with softSPL or hardSPL.
Try to flash the Official Cingular Rom or Wizard Love Rom. If success, then you can install other Rom using what desiji said. Just make sure that its a G4 safe rom. And another thing, try to charge battery using wallcharger not in the device. U need enough battery to perform rom flashing.
Hope this help revive your Wizard.

Hey guys thanks, thats what I thought but I think my main problem is the VISTA I need to get a hold of XP and try all that because the Vista is having issues with connecting to the phone at the moment, I can not get it to show it as a device. It does make a beep noise when you connect/disconnect it so its doing something but Vista is just too much of a pain in the rear to deal with.
Its a good news that its not bicked so all hope is not lost.
What is the opinion on Tmobile WING!? any reviews should I get that phone instead?
BTW where do I find these G4 Safe ROMS? and how do I tell if they have the IPL/SPL in them? Do I need to hack them to tell?
And is Soft or Hard recommended?
YUP ! sure vista is still not compatible for flashing,WinXP is highly recommended and trouble free.
All official stock roms are safe to flash both the devices G3 or G4,secondly,all the latest custom build wm6 or wm6.1 are safe for both the devices,as they don't include any IPL/SPL in them.
If you plan to flash many roms,than 'HardSPL' is recommended,coz its done only once and the device remains semi_Cid unlock untill you personally remove HardSPL,but with SoftSPL,its done everytime you want to flash a new rom,choice is all yours,how you want to go about it.
