We would give you the solution if we knew what it was.
CID is Country_ID - when locked you have a limit on which ROMs can be loaded. For example if the CID is locked then you can't load a German ROM on a Chinese device. Unlock the CID then you can.

I´ve got a Prophet (SPV M600 of Amena), and I´m trying to upgrade the last spanish ROM qtek´s 2.20.7.36 (oficial), and it´s imposible my M600 is spanish, and I must not got any problem with the vendorID.
What is the problem?, Coould you help me?

Well folks
Someone gave me O2 XDA Neo which was in German. I successfully used the PDAmobiz tool to convert the german to english rom and now I have no problem at all. I recommend to everyone to use the tool.

The solution for G4 devices is the same as they do with Wizards,
it 's just a fact of cooking your own Rom.
I just upgraded my German XDA Neo 2.21.0001 G4 device with the new standard Qtek s200 2.10 Dutch Rom. You just leave the IPL and SPL in your device like it was and just change the Rom image. There is a nice guide from Faria in the wizard topic about cooking your own rom. Just follow the guide and set your favorite Rom on your device, simple as that !!!

For what I read this is no solution... It's just mending the problem... Cause you'd have to do this every time you want to upgrade your rom...
How about the PDAMobiz way? Dunno if that works... But seems promising... The problem is that it hasn't got much of a feedback...
Yes you have to do it always over,
but it 's not that hard to cook your ROM,
in ten minutes it 's complete.
The PDA Mobiz thing didn't work with mine,
so I tried this ...

simple upgrade
Hi everyone.
I have some simple question.
- I have an XDA neo from O2.
- it is G4 (.0001)
I want to update it to the latest GERMAN rom. Do I have to CID-Unlock it? Which tutorial applies to my problem. And can I still do a Backup of my original Rom (or is the O2 Rom on your page a sufficient Backup?)

Ipl 1.01
Spl 1.09
Os 5.1.461(Build 15671.3.3.0)
Rom vers. 2.07.161.1 released the 2nd of giune 2007
Radio 1.32.00.00
Protocol 32.65.7020.09W
At the end of the day i flashed Hardspl with new ipl 1.04 and spl 2.10
and new official Wm6.
now my questions is.. Can i reflash in my Vodafone 1605 all the original rom ,spl,ipl,radio, Os etc. etc. ???
If it is possible,where can i find all the file?

Ok..understand your problem and this is your first post and maybe you thought, "aah nice forum, He WM6 that looks nice, lets flash it on my device" ..Right simple ah? But..what you forgot..is to backup or read more about flashing..You cant reset it back to the original (what you wanna call it) "firmware"...

Well, this is not EXACTLY correct. Check out THIS LINK for downgrade directions. You will need to get the original ROM from somewhere. It is possible that it is HERE IN THE WIKI. Chances are that one of the files there has the same Radio, IPL & SPL. You will just need to find the OS, if it is not in there. (In fact, based on the specs, it looks like the third from the bottom of the English ones - Vodafone?) To flash, you will need dutty's good nbh tool to unpack the ROM, becuase you will need to do the IPL and SPL separately from the OS and radio. See THIS LINK for that info. If you don't want to get into all the unpacking, you *could* do the SPL downgrade first, then the upgrade, but it is generally good practice to downgrade SPL as a LAST step since you lose the hardspl protection as soon as you do it. Finally, use the google search link in my signature if you need to find anything else. Good luck.

Ok, tell me if i correctly understand..
I found the correct rom, after i have to unpack this rom with dutty's good nbh tool..(i have to remove Ipl & Spl?).
After the unpack i have to pack again the rom without ipl and spl and flash it in my Herm??!!is it correct? And in the end i have to change ipl and spl(is it a down grade?).
Last questions yet,
What i have to verify first that i start all this work on my herm to not brick my Herm?

I may have made it more complicated. That is the process I use.
Best thing to do is simply follow Mrvanx guides.
First downgrade the OS/Radio using THIS GUIDE
Then downgrade SPL/IPL using THIS GUIDE
That is all - as long as you have HardSPL, it is VERY hard to brick your device. So, do that last.

Yes. The only reason to remove HardSPL is for warranty. Just for clarification, there is no Hard IPL, only Hard SPL, but I know what you mean.
Basically, 99% of the time most of us flash we are only flashing OS or Radio. SPL and IPL don't change often. Most cooked ROMs are released as OS only.
Ah ok perfect, i'm not interested to the device warranty, because i bought it on ebay from Uk, and there is no warranty on my device, so i can only flash os without ipl and spl..

I have downloaded the rom that i need, but it is in .exe extension how can i extract from this .exe the .nbh file that i will decompile with dutty's???
2nd question, it's possible to downgrade radio rom? i put radio 1.51.00.10 in my device,but i didn't like it, because the 1.47 version
that i had was better of 1.51

No worries.
To unpack the exe, just use winrar and open it up. You will get a RUU_signed.nbh and an RUU. Just use the nbh file with the custom_ruu.
Yes, you can downgrade radio to 1.47 safely. No worries. I tried 1.51 too - didn't work out for me either. back to 1.50 for me.

Todd, thanks very much, i didn't know that with winrar was possible to unpack an .exe file,now i have all i need to flash my device with the hold or the new vodafone uk rom.

For some reason i want to downgrade to imate telestra wm5 rom....i consulted mrvanx site and the wiki but still something i want to ask from u guys..I am using schaps 4 rom with radio 1.54 from at&t and hard spl 7 by olipro...
IN order to downgrade...Do i need to degrade radio first?and then fallow mr vanx downgrade guide?

i read sumwhere that inorder to degrade to wm5 i should have older radio rom...otherwise i will get no gsm error....

There had been some problems when downgrading the radio. If you keep the radio and just downgrade the ROM, there will be no problem.
what if i need to downgrade radio now?i have done wm5 already...but it didnt solve the problem ....now i want to degrade rario to earlier version like 1.38 to diagnose the problem

guaranty for my device i would like to send my device to Vodafone.
But my problem is that i have flashed a new WM 6.1 and so I changed
my SPL to 2.G4.4PDA but Vodafone do not repair modified Devices.
I have already flashed the "original" Vodafone Windows Mobile but still
have the "wrong" SPL.
So my question is: Can someone provide me the SPL 2.15.0001, and tell me
how to change the SPL ?

I only have the 2.20.0001
original qtek rom.... want it?
On the list of available shipped ROMs, some of them come with an SPL whilst others don't. The shipped QTek should have an SPL. Try and flash that, and then the operator branded ROM.
I think, the one from XDA Neo from O2 has this SPL.
Maybe you can download it from O2 Germany first. But be sure, that you have HARDSPL Your device.
O2 ROM has SPL information on it.
After flashing from O2 ROM.Try to reflash it again with lazytool and nk.nbf file from original Vadafone ROM
But the problem is. Do you have the original vadofone ROM?
If not, that is something not good.

Even though you have dumped this ROM urself, check the ROM with HTC RIE that it doesn't have the IPL, SPL and GSM parts. If any of these present, delete them and save the ROM. This will make the ROM safe for flashing.
BUt there is one more concern. I dont know whether the Orefkov or Olipro's SPL allows WM 5 flashing. Thats something you'll have to find out from someone else.
