I think it may be hardware... Try a different ROM and see if the problem persists.

this problem has been reported in the ROM thread too. If you encounter a problem with a specific ROM, it is better to post it in that specific thread. Then you realy share your problem with other users, and the change of getting help from them or from the "cook" is way bigger.
In most cases, starting a new thread for such topics isn't realy productive and will only pollute this forum.

That's incredibly odd given that they use the same bas ROM...

Hi, first of all great forum
after reading all the forums, I am very eager to upgrade my XDA II with original ROM Version 1.66 to WM2003SE
but I have many questions that I want to clear before going for it.
btw, my setup is, I use SonyEricsson HBH-660 Bluetooth Headset and Socket Wifi SD card. both works fine with my current ROM but the HBH-660 can display any caller ID nor even the caller number or name.
Is there anyone who use these accessories with their XDA II that upgrade to WM2003SE but still work with no problem?
Will I be able to use them without problem? will I gain any new functionality after upgrade?
Btw I am from Philippines and the ROM I think is original release on the XDA when I got it,
which ROM should I get for the upgrade? which is the easiest path to do it? how can I backup my original ROM (so I can revert if something wrong) or is there anywhere to get the original ROM?
may be there is some guru out there that is near Binondo area that have done it and can help me,
many thanks in advance for any input, I just don't want anything to go wrong when I do the upgrade
thanks again
any help?
read the forum thats all the help you need

Post in ROM's thread.
Maybe you should go and ask questions or ask for help on the ROM's thread. I guarantee you will be more successful over there than creating a whole new thread for it.
thanks for the info

And by the way, read forum rules and try to search for information before posting a new thread. This will help in keeping the forum clean and not unnecessary cluttered. Happy Foruming
Sorry Krazy may be i had read this thread before but was unable to understand. Anyways Thank you very much. And yes i am waiting for the new ROM release from you and will try that on my Gene. Thanks again...
I own an HTC Iolite: Touch Cruise 2
I bought 2 months ago and it has on it Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.
I want to install Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional...
I havent done anything at all to my mobile as far as installing any kinds of roms are concerned...this means that I really need a clear and comprehensive explation-instructions of what to do...
Also tell if I' ll face problems with the new softare and of course do I have to secure all the data???
will everything be lost after the update??
Finally,I would like to ask generally how safe it is and what are the risks
Thanks for your time reading my problem...
I hope somebody experienced will help me
Sure Jim, we will help you on your way.......
Start with reading this thread how to flash a Rom.....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=678893
And further in this section you find Hard-SPL http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=552481
Custom RUU http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=492931 to put a Rom on your phone or depending on the Rom use memory-card method...like in this thread with in my opinion a great Rom....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=572713
It is good to make a back-up of your Rom in case you have to return your phone for a repair under guarantee see here how to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=492747
Why flash a custom Rom? Rom cookers have made something that offers more than the stock Rom's. And in particular when your phone is older than half a year or so it lacks the latest software...like Windows Mobile 6.5 .....
Happy flashing......and if you have questions please come back....

Hi Kumar1086, first off all welcome to the forum.
To get back to your question there is no official wm 6.5 rom for our devices, you can always try a cooked version but you need to do something about your phone to flash a cooked version, on the Niki forum there are 8 post which are sticked, you can see that on the left, it means that they can not be removed so I'm sure if you read this they are still there, just start reading those stickies and I'm sure you can answer your own question.
