I cant seem to get hSPL working
The executable runs, i get the G3/G4 button, press it, after a while the screen dissapears, 1 flash of what seems to be a cmd-prompt but thats it
The device looks not affected in the whole process.(no white screen/flashes or any other indication of a tranfer of any data)
Bootloader check confirmes the problem by still showing IPL/SPL: 2.18.0001
Its a non-branded QTEK-9100. So no Simlock. Anyone can supply a way to get hSPL on the device?

You could try to use another PC, another USB connection.
You could also try to enable Rapi manually (or by using mestrini's WST).
I would try on an other PC though, I have seen troubles with certain stripped/corrupted XP versions and Hard/soft SPL before.
Well Add to your list of not working Os-es WinFLP (strange because just earlier i completed an Trinity HardSpl)
But on my normal XP station the screen does not turn white.
The display is corrupted I see my radio signal status Icon and the Battery Icon in a Black bar,
Below the Date/time
and the rest of the screen is Black with in small green charakters the 'error'
"Unable to open log file ...
Tiny_console_init Done ."
EDIT: Second time it went white... And spl from olipro installed like a charm....

This is what you have:
IPL 2.17.0001 = G4
SPL 1.01 = G3
Your phone is bricked.
I don’t know of anyone who has recovered from this.
I tried to flash 1.43.00.00 radio on to my hermes and it got to 0% and had an error (error had a 2 in it and was 3 numbers i think) I now have my hermes with tri colour screen
i had updated to scaps rom using mr vanx's online tutorial and installed the rom, hard spl and radio version provided there. I'd had a bad install though and it left me with a damaged security area i think which meant i was given the original imei and it was barred.
I then tried to install radio 1.43.00.00 but it failed as i said before i now have the tri colour screen and i tried to plug it in to the usb and the text changes from 'serial' to 'usb' but nothing happens on the pc or when i try and charge it.
I have read through the wiki on bricked hermes but did not undestand which type i had and even then how to fix it.

What I did was download the original WM5 ROM from AT&T (MY provider). As long as your tri-color screen says usb you should be able to run the rom update just fine.
I cant remember if I went to file / connectionsettings/ and unchecked "allow usb settings" or not. but long story short you can not load a cooked rom while its in this state. Reload the Rom then the Radio and you should be good to go.

Rather than hijacking other threads I thought it might be of help to others if I start a new one.
Having spent hours trawling thru the other threads I have now concluded that I need the help of one of the wise sages such as Cmonex or Olipro.
I decided that a thread might benefit others rather than just pm'ing them.
Ages ago i bricked my ameo.
I had upgraded to spl 3.5 and had been playing with one of michy's roms. Whilst the rom worked fine the boot-up splash screen had become corrupted, I also noticed that the camera had stopped working/initialising.
In an attempt to get the camera back I tried various other roms and decided to downgrade to spl1.2 so that I could go back to a stock rom. In a moment of stupidity I accidentally tried to reflash using a spl3.5 rom.
This resulted in a invalid model id message.
In desperation I did the old vol key down and reset pin. Told the ameo to restore.
From that point onwards the unit is no longer recognised by my pc, in the tricolour boot screen it initialises and says loading 0058002 and then displays
IPL-v1.00
SPL-v1.20 Olipro
I have tried the mtty option, using different computers and different leads, have even tried running the program from the root c: to no avail.
The problem is that whilst in boot loader screen on connection to the pc there is no usb option displayed, nor is there a usb option in the mtty drop-down list.
Pdajoy kindly suggested using a mini sd card to flash the unit. I purchased a micro sd with a mini adapter. Formatted the card to fat32, renamed the ndc file booted to the tri colour boot screen and hit reset. All that happens is that is tries to boot the old fecked o/s and gets as far as a blank grey screen and no further.
I really do miss my ameo- the screen on my touch pro is just too small!!!
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I had renamed the files ATHEIMG.nbh, the reference in my post above is a typo. There was no sim in the phone either.
The screen after it tries to load the old corrupt rom is just a grey mass- nothing else, no text or images.
The two pics listed show the ameo booting and then the grey screen.

I found a way to bring back the normal bootloader you just have tu press the reset button then you press the camera button and you will have your bootloader again
IT IS NOT WORKING you get back to the original bootloader but when you want to put back a rom even the official one after 1 percent it gets back to the grey screen PLEASE HELP
Srry athena works again place the mmty tool with mac bin file in the root of c and try again dont forget the task 32 command before the bin command that worked for me
I had the same exact problem (even the screen was the same) and didn't realize that the initial screen that shows up isn't the bootloader. fixed it by waiting for the grey/white screen, holding the volume button down then reset button and camera button + reset which brought me to the actual bootloader. From there I installed the latest AP rom, updated my radio and installed mitchy's 6.1

I am lost! I have followed exactly the steps:
1. disable activesync and put mtty into the C:/ root
2. connected athena as usb and booth with 3 colors screen
3. run mtty
4. done the cmk
5. selected port usb and created the .bin file for my SPL (1.2)
6. in mtty run task 32 and went up to: "code entrypoint unknow"
When I boot again my Athena I get the same dark screen with blue stripes:-(

It looks like you did the wifi fixx correctly but the rom is still corrupted
Go into bootloader to confirm your SPL and then flash an spl appropriate rom

You have confirmed that you have spl1.2 by quoting what you have seen in the tricolor screen.
Get back into that screen , making sure you have removed the sim and sd card and then conect to your computer via the usb cable.
You would have downloaded an spl1.2 rom ( you previously stuffed the radio by trying to flash an spl3.5 rom) and then run the romupdateutility .exe .
then you should be sweet!
having read a reply of cmonex to another post I am starting to think that all hope is lost.
It seems that if windows is unable to recognise the phone it is possibly the case that it is completely f*cked!!!
It would be nice if someone could clarify this...

Once you finished doing mtty, did you reenable usb in activesync as per this post

the other thought was is the usb cable and the usb port able to sync with other wm devices? maybe the slot on your athena is faulty?

It is possible that the usb port is faulty but it seems improbable that this should have failed at exactly the same time as me stuffing up the O/S.
I will try to find the cmonex post to which I am refering later today (the one that suggests that the phone is stuffed).

Help me please? Desperately I'm really need big help from Master of HTC Hermes expert in this Hermes section!
My device always appear has four colors (Red, Green, Blue, White) everytime I turn it on. Seems is like it's on bootloader / SPL mode everytime I turn it on & I can't turn it off except force to take off the battery. In Red color always appear HERM100 IPL-1.04 & HERM100 SPL-2.10.Olipro. And there always appear Serial in White color but when I try to connected with USB in PC it changes to USB.
I has try many times to flash my device but it always be ERROR [260] : UPDATE ERROR notification when I try to flash to Hard SPL.v7 or downgrade to Hard SPL.v5.2. I have been trying to flash via microSD but that not works too!
Even I try to flash my device to WM6.0 ROM using HER_DopodAsia_1237074_1060010_WWE_SHIP from http://www.htc.com/sea/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=37&cat=2&dl_id=197 still won't work too!
What should I do then? Please help me!!!
Nevermind it's okey for now one. I never thought it works on my Dopod 838 Pro cause I use Hermes_SDCard Flashing method. I forgot to formated my microSD in FAT32 format. Now my device has back in normal, I love this device!!!
So I had an 8525 stored in the closed cause i had another phone.
So I powered it up after charging and its been working great.
About a year ago I had upgraded from WM5 to WM6 the official ATT release update.
I want to get 6.5 now but when I try to flash HardSPL7 it fails.
Before doing this I wanted to make sure I could sync and see my memory card, backup data and all that was successful via USB connection.
When I do the SPL it goes all the way to update it so I click on update and my phone asks me that it will run a program that might be harmful. I click yes and it goes to a rainbow colored screen. After about 1 min. My computer closes the connection to the phone and I get an error saying to check usb cable..etc.
On the phone it still shows USB. If i disconnect it it goes to Serial. If I connect it shows USB again, but the Hardspl7 program just closes out because it can't connect.
What could be the problem.
I have windows Vista
I checked troubleshooting but didn't find anything relavant to my problem.

Go to page 116, post 1160 of the Hard SPL thred. It will give you instruction on how to flash Hard SPL using the sd card method.
To flash roms using this method, drop the steps using SSPL.exe (Soft SPL).
