You better post your question in the original thread, this one is only a sort of mirror and/or Prophet related.
You find the link in the first post!
there are several layouts included in the cap. but only the xt9 and othere needed files to make the kayboard work for english and italian.
if someone has the knowhow then just download my layout cabs from gullum.4shared.com and extract the ending with .kdb and ldb
they should look something like this (for portuguese)
12.pthpd.kdb hpd.5x4.Portuguese.kdb spd.5x4.portuguese.kdb and PTlsUN_xt9.ldb
the new keyboard has the same files for english and italian in the cab so I guess it should work the regs in the cab has got the layout for
"060A"="hpd.5x4.Spanish.kdb"
"0610"="hpd.5x4.Italian.kdb"
"0607"="hpd.5x4.German.kdb"
"060C"="hpd.5x4.French.kdb"
"0609"="hpd.5x4.English.kdb"
I don't have the time to make this keyboard multilanguage as I did with the othere dual keybord.
It is realy simple to get all the layouts to work but takes a lot of time I might give it a try the next 2 days as we'll have 2 hollydays... but I have 2 roms to finish so I don't know if I'll have the time.... well I might just to it and include it in the roms and make cabs for the other languages we'll see what I can do.
Ok I've made an OEM pack and added all the files from the dual keyboar mentioned in the other post abow. I can now use almost all keyboards languages 15 in total but some have layout problems and for some only qwerty and phone pad work. so some more editing in the regestry is needed and also some images for layout is missing and need to be redone.

well the once that don't work a all right now are russian and greek.
all the others are working kind of eng. ger. fra. ita. esn. ptg. czech. dan. ndl. fin. nor. swe and plk.
But as I said it will take a lot of time to get all working... it's easy to do it but time consuming.

@ Gullum:
Terrific that you are looking into it! I had planned to do it myself, there are a few cluos mentioned in the original Kaiser thread, but my experience in reg-editing isn't that big. So, I'm glad an expert has taken this challenge. If there is any need for editing the picturefiles or anything else, just PM me.
not able to type alphabet using the htc diamond keypad....how can i fix this prob...each time i press d button, only the number came out...

This is the new Real VGA release.
With Real VGA you can change the DPI setting and the language of any WM6 base deivce. Install the desired packages and the Real VGA package.
Later on I will release some device specific Add-On to support the programs added by HTC for example.
If you get a warning about missing DLLs report them in the next message in this thread. Please edit this thread instead of posting your own list because otherwise it will be very hard to track.
The DPI packs are available for 96dpi and 128dpi. The new HTC Home plug-in seems to run pretty well in 96dpi
The Language packs are available in the next post. If you need any additional language feel free to request them.
Important! Please note that currently they are designed only for ENGLISH OS versions. The may behave unpredictibly under other OS.
- Version 1.1
I just released a new version. If there are some dlls missing for you desired langauge than it tries to make a copy the dlls in your device for the new language. As a result some programs may show up in English but I think this is much better than not working at all. I will prepare additional packs to support all the device specific applications as well but in the meanwhile you will have them at lease in English
If you have used version 1.0 already then please switch once to English and then back to your desired language.
- 14.9.2007
I have included in both DPI packs a fix to close the gap at the bottom of the phone
And here are the language packs
And here are the language packs
Language Packs
Do I understand the language packs correctly?
It means for example if you have installed an english based ROM and install the german language pack all windows dialogs, keyboard layouts and so on are like in a german ROM?
Thanks.
Can you release Italian language pack?
Great Work Tobias!!!!!!
Great work, looking forward installing it, but... Can you please post pics of all three

Hi Tobias,
Your application works great I just have an issue with a couple of today plugins, in my Axim X50v with WM6 I've installed Today warrior http://personales.ya.com/beemer/todaywarrior1.htm and claunch, both in real vga or qvga looks the same as in real vga because those are vga aware, however when I switch to 128 resolution some elements on Today Warrior and the icons in claunch doesn't show properly, I'm attaching screenshots for the 3 resolutions, thanks in advance for your help

This whole thing is designed only for WM6. Expect problems when using with WM5. I'm also using the German language pack and Excel and the Recent File list work as expected. You should try to get a WM6 update.

That depends on what you want to use. If you only want to use 128dpi, then you only need RealVGA and the 128dpi cab. Equally, if you want to try the 96 dpi, you need to install that cab.
Still missing some icons...
Spb Pocket Plus is still missing some icons in 128 dpi mode. Otherwise it works great.
Two more small items: I liked the "visual" selection method better, where there was a little thumbnail that showed what that resolution was going to look like-- with a drop-down selection method I have to keep it in my head which resolution does what. Plus, they're not even in order of size in the drop-down.
Finally, how about a program icon for RealVGA? Right now it just has the default blank application icon.
Sorry about the gripes. You've really done a superb job on the whole.

I also liked the previous "visual" selection system. With the new system I don't see a choice to return to the 96 dpi QVGA mode.
I see the phone skin now reaches the bottom of the screen, but the CommMgr screen is still messed up. (I'm now using one of the Kaiser CommMgr cabs, which displays on only 1/4 of the screen, but provides for clear selection of your choices.)
Overall its a great improvement over the previous true VGA utilities. Thanks for all your work Tobias... I'm loving the 128 dpi mode.
Steve
Works great Tobias!
I am amazed at how you satisfied everyone with different dpi settings, and language packs.
One question, how tall are the 'Start' bar at the top of the screen and lower bar in the 96dpi mode? I am searching the registry but can not locate that setting.
Here is my favorite Phone Pad version with my new skin.
I made a new skin for PhonePad-Dark-International, because this is the only one PhonePad version which is working perfectly on my non-HTC VGA device and the original skin quite ugly.
Works perfect together with TouchBack v1.0 if you like vibrating button pressing!
My VGA and QVGA versions contain these T9 dictionaries:
English - German - French - Italian - Spanish - Portuguese - Czech - Danish - Dutch - Finnish - Hungarian - Norwegian - Polish - Romanian - Slovak - Swedish - Turkish - Greek - Russian
Installation:
1. Uninstall previous PhonePad/IntelliPad versions
2. Soft-reset
3. Install PhonePad v1.0-International QVGA/VGA-Raulka.cab to device
enjoy
Store new words in T9 dictionaries:
Use regular "ab" button. When text is full click on the text to make it enter the field. Now the T9 has learned your new word until next soft-reset. If you want to really store new words, just change SIP before you do a soft-reset!
Or use DictMgr.cab from post #37 (Thx to mooooooa)!
Download:
PhonePad v1.0 - International VGA - Raulka.cab
PhonePad v1.0 - International QVGA - Raulka.cab

If the QVGA version would be a simple resizing work I had this work yet. But the graphics ratio aren't same between VGA and QVGA.. So this is not an hourly work..
If VGA users will be satisfied with my PhonePad version, I will reworking in QVGA, but at this time nothing feedback for me..
Edit: Maybe tomorrow I will be make a simple downsized QVGA version. If this will be beautiful too, than I will upload QVGA version.

Only problem I got with this ROM is that I can choose
Fuze Keyboard
Pixture of Fuze keyboard button setting (Layout)
and
Touch Pro Keyboard (Standard, ENGLISH!)
Picture of Standard, English keyboard button setting
Heres a comparison
But I need the Standard, Norwegian! hehe, with Æ Ø and Å hehe, I hope this is possible for me, with this ROM installed?
not that i know the answer, but don't you think you could've posted inside the energyrom thread instead of a creating a whole new thread?
rhetorical question, of course
Maybe try out Mobilnaut SYM? The application allows you to enter special characters by pressing SYM button after a basic character (I mean dashed "e" is entered as "e" and then SYM). You can edit the list of characters by yourself. It runs very well, I made a list of Polish characters and am using it with no troubles. The only thing is that it runs with standard M$ keyboard driver, so you have to disable xt9 first.
Just set CurLang in registry to 1044 (decimal) or 414 (hex) and it should work. CWSLayout=0 is for Touch Pro.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\KEYBD]
"CurLang"=dword:00000414
"CWSLayout"=dword:00000000
Bravo:
Yeah, I could, sorry.
Rabinhood:
I says;
The program you have installed may not display properly because it was designed for a previous version of Windows software.

Wester:
I see you're norwegian! Maybe you can help me a little further? I didn't understand that very well hehe
Rabinhood:
Forget what I said! It works!!!!
Now, all I've got to figure out is how to get æ ø and å into that program hehe
Haha! Guess what, I got it!!! Thank you!!! VERY MUCH!!!! LOVE IT THANKS THANKS THANKS!! (A) !!!!!!!

As a foreign language student I often find myself looking for ways to use the language I'm learning/have learned on my winmo device. At first this can be very daunting as there are a lot of options out there, so I wanted to make this thread to consolidate any freeware or other options there are working for the current builds of winmo.
If people think this is a good idea I'll link this thread on the wiki. Please post any language inputs you have with a cab or a working link and I'll update the thread to include them.
INPUTS:
Chinese
Pinyin inputs
ZTA4 - (by far the BEST free pinyin input out there)
Non-Touchscreen
QVGA Touchscreen
VGA Touchscreen
WVGA Touchscreen with HTC skin (Recommended)
Handwriting inputs
Samsung Handwriting Input - VGA/WVGA Fullscreen input
Korean
Multiple Input Methods
Moakey v2 WVGA - Includes hand input, keyboard input, etc.
Japanese
Multiple Input Methods
Handwriting + Kana Input VGA/WVGA - Not touch friendly [Original Thread]
Touch Friendly Input - This is a cab I made combining touchkeysip + gesture10key SIP. NOTE: This is not an IME, you must separately install a japanese IME and use 411 japanese keyboard for it to work, but if you do it is an excellent touch friendly layout for something like the HD2.
Handwriting
Careace Japanese Writing Input - Includes font, original site here
Edit: If you have any stable working input methods for any language, please let me know.
Whatever language input you decide to install you will need a display font to go along with it. If you might be using more than one language its best to go with one of the multiple ones listed at the top, but if you are sure to only use one language a dedicated single font will provide more robust support.
FONTS:
M8 CJKT Doggold v2 - Supports Chinese/Japanese/Korean/Thai
Ko_jp_cn - More robust Chinese/Japanese/Korean support, but no thai.
Sunglobe - Small Chinese Simplified font with Trad support
Microsoft Yahei - Supports all simp and Trad Characters and most Japanese, it is supposed to support Korean as well, but I can't get it to display.
Korean Font by Careace - Original website here

If you look in the original thread that I posted next to the japanese input, you will find that you have to go into the registry and manually change the keyboard to 411 instead of 409 (english).
I'm trying to find a way to avoid doing that, as both the chinese and korean inputs I have don't require that, but so far no dice.

I strongly recommend the M8 CJKT cab, its worked the best for me so far.

Remember, you may have to reset a couple of times when dealing with fonts and inputs.

I need a WVGA Chinese pinyin input method, one that's 6.5 compatible for my Rhodium based phone.
Nevermind, fixed this!
Hello, this thread has been incredibly helpful, thanks !
I have a little problem, I can't make Moakey & Samsung handwriting (chinese) work together... Only the last installed works and seems to disable the first installed. I think they have conflicting files or something?
For example, if Moakey is installed, then if I install Samsung handwriting, it disables handwriting in Moakey.
Any solutions? I have installed them both on internal storage, then tried to put one in internal and one in external, but no success...
You should try Mobem Software's CE-Star, and CE-Star Suite. They have keyboards, handwriting, stroke... and many others and mutiple languages.
I just tried your ZTA4, which is very nice. I think I prefer it as a keyboard Pinyin input to that of Mobem's.

MS Keyboard
I can tell you what's worked for me, but it isn't perfect. I did a little searching on the board here, but I don't have the link to the original thread, so the credit for this goes to whomever posted it originally. I changed this reg key
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{42429667-ae04-11d0-a4f8-00aa00a749b9}\IsSIPInputMethod]
from '0' to '1'. After a restart, the original MS keyboard shows up as a keyboard under 'Settings/Personal/Input'. It doesn't show up for me on the SIP list when I tap the keyboard icon, but I use QuickMenu and just activate it through QM's SIP menu. I only use it in one program where the HTC keyboard is to large. Hope this helps!
Dont Work
Dear cliemonster, this hint dont work in the HTC Touch 2, i change the register in this key and others, i restart de system, use the QuickMenu but the SIP dont apear!
Whith your post i´m seraching other ways to do this!
Again, sorry by the English!
Try spb keyboard. It's not free, but it has 3 view modes, one normal, one very small and one big (full screen). Very good keyboard, with landscape support too. (I use it on my htc t3333 without any problems).
I'm sorry that didn't work for you. I'm using a Touch Pro2 with a custom ROM, so it must depend on other things to work. Hope you find a solution!

seb3773, what version you're using?!
I download and install of the site de trial version of SPB Keyboard (4.2.1)
and it has only 2 layouts: halfscreen and fullscren
Thanks
I know what you mean and I've actually installed it on my HTC Touch 3G - you want the old Winmo Keyboard.
I actually don't remeber where I've found it, but the CAB you need is
Default_IM_WM5.cab
Sorry I don't know hot to upload it, but if you google it you should find it.

Take a look at the video at this page:
http://spb.com/products/keyboard/
At the 1:00 mark you will see how to activate the "small view" (long press on the view selector button)
