Hi There,
I have an I-Mate Kjam in the UK which is running 2.16.0001 which i think is a G4 as the Wizard Service Tool states its a G4. It has WM5 and want to have WM6.1 or 6.0. The phone i think is unlocked as i have used 3 other sims in the same phone from other phone suppliers. What do i need to download ro upgrade it as i have been reading all the forums on here and just dont have a clue which download i need as i dont want to brick the phone
I am also runnning Vista 32Bit but have XP pro if i need to use that to upgrade

To upgrade to wm6 rom,its required to have a CID unlocked phone,but a G4 phone cannot be CID unlocked like a G3 device,therefore,through these two methods,a patched IPL/SPL (Bootloaders) are flashed to a G4 device,tricking it to believe that it is CID Unlocked (SuperCID) Semi/Temporarily,to upgrade it to wm6 or wm6.1 Rom,got it ? Read the Stickies for full details, if you are looking to upgrade your phone
Just tried the Hard SPL for G4 everything go's ok until the ROM Update Program in windows trys to update then i get a windows box popup to say the ROM Update Ultilty program has stopped working

Which Windows you are trying on,use WinXP,hope it'll work. Vista have problems.
Am using Vista but the girl friends laptop is XP but not sure if i am allowed to use that LOL

Dead ? what happened,did it completed the 'HardSPL' ? what IPL/SPL it displays now,is your battery fully charged ?
Well the ROM Upgrade starts in windows then my phone reboots and sits at a screen with 3 couloured bars and thats it then the upgrade rom software says cannot connect

possible. already discussed. you need a registry editor to do this.

I removed this file because it was exctracted from imei-check unlocker and violates copyright. Please be patient, an alternative solution will come soon.

if u have a x01ht and get an error, i can only say you are doing something wrong.
you have not mentioned anything about what u did, precisely. i cannot give you any comments.
i want say more but my english is limited and for the technical words iam not good but im sure me make mistake with the flash........
my windows xp is french and my activesync 4.2 french too
when i use the M3100v3cUnlock no problem for connect
to my ppc
now when i use HTC_HERMES_SIM_UNLOCK_V1 first time the program recognize my phone and the number of the rom ,after when i accept the update, the phone deconnect and display screen with 4 colours and when the ppc try again to connect with computer for update,activesync quit the desktop of windows and the ppc cant connect, after 2 or 5 min i have a error screen of program update
Read the install instructions, you have to start unlocking from bootloader mode:

You don't need activesync at all, you can disable it for doing the patched-radio flash.

Your device needs to have bootloader 1.04.
If you have bootloader 1.06 it will not work.
i know i have the bootloader 1.06
this is a reason why i want change in 1.04
if you can give a link or a method for download the program

If there's no rom matching your CID with 1.04 you'll have to wait.
I am close to a solution, but please give me some time...
if y try to flash with the WWE Rom Cingular 1.34.502.1 bootloader 1.06 you think its possible ?
and HERM100 and HERM200 its a same or different

No, it doesn't match your cid. you have to cid unlock it first and you need bootloader 1.04 for that.

i thought u could "use" M3100v3Unlock.exe for downgrading bootloader w/o paying... altho u need to pay to unlock sim-lock. am i correct?
Hi mates. i tried to flash my G4 wizard with tnt rom. the process got error at 99% and now its only displaying 3 colour screen. and when i connect usb, there is written usb on the bottom. and nothing else. i tried a lot to unlock. but all process are saying that the device is not connected.. so please help me with this.

T-mobile has his own Site with the firmware.

If that is the original Rom, it shouldn't give that error, no worries.
Your device is G3 btw. easy to unlock.

bro i started the shipped rom and at the end it said that " the NBF" file is not for ur PDa please update to newer version"
You can use one of 2 tools here
Take the nk.nbf in the ship rom(open in winrar) then put to tool and update

I tried to upgrade using :
Prophet ShadoW 2.0 TE
That one gave me a tri color screen after upgrade
So I reflashed the original rom and tried:
Prophet Shadow Vista "My Edition"
That one gave me a tri color screen again!
I want 6.1 on my S200, what are my options?
Am I Doing something wrong ?

You have to flash a hardSPL first, in order to flash those ROMs succesfull.
You better read some of the many guides and instuction posted in this section.

Indeed, but nothing beyond repairing. IF you brick your device by NOT HardSPL you can alway bring it back to live with an official or NVID ROM-flash.
But... if you HardSPL G3 on a G4 v.v. you are in deep ****....

If you get the wrong IPL/SPL, you may never get the device back...

I was in a rush, and I upgraded wm5 to wm6 before without using HARDSPL so I thought bull****, just copy the rom and done.. not

1) Will my phone get well again?
2) Is my mobile in bootloader mode?
3) How to turn it in normal mode again?

See my post about Telstra firstly. I've had a bit of experience in this situation, I found that the only way I could get it out of bootloader mode was to install the proper ROM for my phone, i.e. the special Telsta BS ROM. You may have a similar issue and will need to find the latest ROM from XDA's web site?
I just bought a HTC DUAL and looking for a ROM upgrade and OS 6.5 upgrade.
Is this possable? and if so where and how to I do this?

welcome to the dirty world of flashing roms and making ur device beautiful.as u have just got ur dual,i guess it imust be sim locked.so first unlock it.then have hardspl 1.22 on ur device.how???
just go through the sticky in this forum.u will get both of them on the top of this forum.once done u can go and flash any cooked rom

Bad idea. That HardSPL will not work on your phone.
No ROM exists yet and the HSPL was JUST released. Wait a little bit for the ROM to come out.
