My XV6800 microphone volume is too low. It's hard for people on the other end to hear me. Is there any tweak or ajustment just for the microphone? Thanks. BTW, speaker/earpiece volume is great
no2chem's nuAudio can do just that for the mic, bluetooth, and all speaker settings.

Be careful to first backup your phone and don't go too crazy in adjusting every speaker setting and setting them too high as that can cause system instability.

when i first tested my sony mdr1-rbt bluetooth headset I thought too that volume through bluetooth was very low until I figured out that the volume keys on the headphone do not trigger the phones volume but its own internal volume, which was when i first testet it, set to its minimum :silly:
nevermind if you don't have these, I know that viper4android can boost sound through bluetooth by enabling the playbackagc option and set it to moderate or extreme. only "problem" is you have to be rooted.
sorry for now these are the only possibilities which come to my mind.

I've recently made a mod for my device managing to enable the earpiece/speakerphone during media playback and turning my phone into a stereo capable device. However, as expected, the earpiece won't sound as loud as the main speaker. I tweaked the gains but it's not enough.
What i am trying to create is a modification that will make a point of intersection where both the earpiece and the main speaker have the same loudness. After that point, the phonespeaker will remain at its maximum volume and the main speaker will keep up with the media volume slider.
There would be one simple way to double the earpiece gain or triple it or finding a certain level that matches the loudness of the main speaker until a certain point but the main issue is that the media volume slider will keep adjusting the loudness of the earpiece, making a lot of distortion afterwards.
I need someone to explain me how to disable media volume control for the earpiece after a certain media volume level, thank you.
Yet another way to satisfy my needs is setting the default volume level of the earpiece to maximum, or at least creating only 2 levels, first which is mute, and the second which is max, no matter the media volume level, i don't know how to do that either.
Bump
So I've been playing around with the phone for a few days and come to one conclusion.
The phone speakers are not great. Average at best.
More specifically, the top phone speaker is so terrible it is drowning out the decent quality sound of the bottom speaker.
I'd much rather just use the bottom speaker and forget about the top altogether.
Does anyone know of a way to either disable the top speaker for media sounds, or an app that lets you independently control the left/right speaker volumes so I can just turn the dam thing off?
The bottom speaker is very decent and the distortion from the top speaker when playing at louder volumes is very annoyingly bad !!
Disable stereo+ function under sound settings
I already did this, and my problem was not solved

One thing I've noticed is that the ringtone volume coming from the earphone part (top of phone) is a lot softer/quieter than the volume coming from the bottom firing speaker - now this is expected and normal I think, but here's the issue I've noticed - the ringtone volume coming from the top speaker is even more soft/quiet when an actual call is coming through compared to when testing it in Settings. Can anyone else confirm this? You can test it by covering the bottom firing speaker with a finger/thumb and listening to how loud the top speaker is when the ringtone is playing. Compare the sound/volume of the top speaker between:
1. when an actual call comes through
verses
2. testing it in Settings
Bump - can at least a few of the people who read this thread post their results? Thanks in advance.
I have checked and found that the volume is different like you said. In settings it's a bit louder then when receiving calls. It's as if the volume in settings is set to max. I did then changed the volume to max and now the sound seems to be at the same level in either situations. Maybe just check your call volume level

Changing volume to max doesn't make a difference to the relative difference for me - that is, the volume coming from the earphone speaker is louder when testing in Settings verses when an actual call comes through.
Hi there, on my new s9+ I'm finding the speakerphone volume is too low for conference calls unless I click the three dots during a call and enable the extra volume.
Is there an app or command I can run to increase the phone call speaker volume past the default max?
Speaker works great for music and other things... Just the call isn't high enough.
Does anyone know if the pixel2 xl has a higher call speaker volume by default? Considering switching as this will be annoying long term if I can fix.
Thanks!
