Anybody else having trouble with Jive Talk throwing exceptions with this build? I've had it working before and it works great with N2C's nbh, but I can't seem to get it to run right with the Kitchen... Any thoughts? Here is my selections.txt for reference:

Why don't you just install the cab with UC instead of the OEM?
I have been installing the cab i didn't oemize it. I have to be missing something in the kitchen or something I'm installing is interfering because it works great with No2Chem's 5067 ROM, but when I use the basekit in the kitchen it throws an exception and the infamous log error...

I'm getting the same error message as well. What's odd as you mentioned it works fine using the 5067 rom (same windows mobile version).. so i'm wondering what I'm not installing in the kitchen that's in his ROM.

Jive Talk requires SQLCE. Did you include that when you cooked?
Yes I cooked SQL CE in, I'm questioning weather Jive Talk may be based off a later release of SQL CE since 3.5 is not backwards compatible. I may try that a little later today if I can find a 3.0 version somewhere. I think that may be the difference The kitchen installs 3.5 and I believe that No2Chem uses 3.0 int the ROM...

Does Work
1. Pocket Plus latest addition & not fully
does not work
1. Arabizer Suite
2. Vcard
3. MMS Composer
Does work:
Vito Button Mapper
Just a question: Does standard Xda II progs like Album, Camera, MMS Composer, Caller ID etc. work with WM2005?
Album (in Wm2005 it's called Picture&Videos) and Camera work. The WM2005 rom doesn't contain the MMS composer or callerID.
However, the contacts application in WM2005 downloades the pictures from Outlook 2003 on the PC. If you don't use Outlook on the PC, you can also assign pictures directly in the contacts application on the PPC.
Cheers

another Wm 2005 big gap!
hi, does WM 2005 had already able detect 125.86 Mb ROM instead of 30MB
we are on 96 Mb now! That is the useful size at the moment. Keep trusting Buzz to bust it!
Victor
wow nice job
96 Mb now? for the Storage and Running Programs? Does it also have auto config?can use my current ExtROM 1.12.924 WWE with WM 2005?
Tomtom Mobile
Anyone tried Tomtom Mobile5 under WM2005?
WM2005 is supposed to be able to run smartphone apps, so it might work with the smartphone version of Tomtom?
Applications that work:
GoogHelper
Spb GPRS Monitor
Spb FullScreen Keyboard
SpbTime
Mini Online Dictionary
Super Memo CE
PlanMaker
Suncon PocketPC
MortPlayer
Resco Audio Recorder
Resco Explorer
Resco Photo Viewer
Pocket RAR
MemMaid
HandyMenu
HandyLauncher
XCPUscalar
WebISMail
eWallet (without sync)
Repligo
Applications that doesn't work:
CheckOnIt
Sprite Backup Profesional
Socket WLAN Tools
Pocket Informant
PhotoContacts
PhatNotes
Resco Keyboard
Stripping down all the programs and shortcuts leaves you a little over 9mb. Navtec will just run on that, but don't take a wrong direction because then it will get stuck (PS even the voice isOK)

Hi Yazzon, which version of Resco's Audio Recorder you got? I tried ver 3.01 which installs alright but would never open the app.

Which version oc Co-Pilot are you using on the Athena? How does it compare to TomTom?
As little as possible!
I try to run a new ROM on its own until I find myself wishing I had a specific piece of software. I often end up with a nasty pile of software by the time a new ROM appears, and it nice to see which I really need and which are just cluttering up the system. With so much space on the Micro Drive and the mini SD, I don't question whether or not to try something new the way I had to before I had my Advantage.
putty and opera 9.6 build 405 (there are newer but i cant release those at this time) are in the platinum(full) rom already. google maps and live search are also in the rom. wmwifirouter would be in if it wasnt for the going commercial thing. the htc rss reader is in there also. we have a new irc client in there(zsirc). total commander is in there. and a few other things.
My list...

Like everyone else, i dont care about storage space because of the microdrive, so im sure some ggpss software will be added at some point.

slide 2 play doesnt look too good on vga. would be good if it would and if we made the athena in landscape via vueflo orientation it would go to album view. i do use s2p still

Yes there is some really interesting potential with vueflo.. ever pitched this idea to A_C?
I could redo the graphics in VGA for our devices if you want to start a side project after AP4.0... Hell, I'll probably end up doing the graphics anyways... I'll post them on this forum when I get around to it.
Here's my list:
Pocket Informant
Resco Explorer
Phatware PhatPad
Egress RSS reader (I think the most customizable of all rss readers and it allows you to cache entire articles)
SKTools
PocketBreeze
PocketWeather
Phatware calligrapher (best handwriting recognition)
Destinator 7
Pocket Mindmap (great for notes and links to web pages)
PocketXPdf (absolutely best pdf reader-freeware)
WMWfirouter
EsmertecJbed midlet (full screen)
Opera Mini
Gmail midlet
Voipbuster java (for connecting two conventional phones over internet)
Softmaker for powerpoint
The last beta of softmaker is really great for edit ppt on the pda, without any conversation. The problem is it eats a lot of memory. Should be great if the famous and more desired rom ap 4 works better with it.
for me the last program still maintaining me using a pc is powerpoint, rest of the things are fine on the athena.

the photo stuff u might be able to ditch. htc album takes a bit to load on the athena bc of the vga but its a pleasure to use.

Fellow developers
Rhapsody came out for the Iphone and Ipod touch recently.
is there a way for anyone to port this to windows mobile? im using rhapsody to listen to music and i love it, would be amazing if i could use it on my phone while traveling.
Regards
Yep, I 2nd that. This is a big deal in usefulness of the phone as my mp3 player through A2DP and in the car. In fact, even though I've been with WM through thick and thin for a decade, it's getting old and the news of this makes me almost seriously consider leaving WM just because of this great development. No syncing, no transferring, just easy over the web unlimited 8 million songs! Please get this going, someone, please!
verizon
Rhapsody has an wm app through verizon's 'vcast' $15/per month service. maybe someone could 'adapt' to work on other carrier?
although its in early stages of development, the app groovefish, here on xda is quite nice. its found and played every song ive searched for.

its not a APP its a download while tethered to PC solution ... i just wish some would help me get my drm fixed on 6.5 .
but a streaming app would be nice 2. ;-)
Co-sign. I've been using Rhapsody for years, it would be awesome to have it on my phone.
any one want to throw down on a bounty ?;-)
I'm in
I'll put $10 on fixing DRM for 6.5 (cab so we can install on custom ROMs)

I'll put down $20 to fixing DRM on 6.5.
After years of Use Rhapsody has finally figured out i'm not from the States , stopping my Service on PC.
I have read that a WM version is indeed in the planning (WMPowerUser article), but they need to open up to let me in again.
ORB works fine on WM, for both audio and video

but orb does not give you a HUGE music catalog.. RHAPSODY for winmobile please any one ??? here are the APIs webservices.rhapsody.com
I've been told (I can't confirm it) that Rhapsody To Go will sync with the new 6.5 Verizon ROM. There must be some way to use that ROM to fix Rhapsody in cooked ROMs.
Are you telling me that rhapsody to-go doesn't work with windows mobile 6.5??? I currently use rhapsody everyday on my ATT Tilt. Rhapsody to-go syncs DRM subscriber tracks to the storage card inside my Tilt (It plays for 30 days on the standard windows media player mobile).
I'm thinking of upgrading to the Tilt 2 which has windows mobile 6.5. Will the rhapsody DRM still work in the same way with this phone? Please let me know.

yes exactly, it only works with DRM-supporting devices, what i would like is just the rhapsody application for windows mobile, just search album, click play, turn of screen and enjoy
i have looked at the API site, thanks for that link xhotz but i dont know if i will be capable of setting something up on winmo platform
next to that:
i am outside of the US, so the weblinks on the api-site don't work
+1 on the full Rhapsody request. I have Rhapsody To Go working (DRM and all) on my HD2 and also no problem on my TYTNii previously. However, I will say that the documentation and the authorization techniques are not obvious on Rhapsody and you need to read through the details to make it work.
However, streaming Rhapsody would be really great.
Rhapsody WM 6.5
It's B.S. that they will not offer this for 65, but with the newest update Amazon is offering there MP3 service per song or album for the same price as their website. I buy from them all the time so it's time for winmo users to stop sucking the nipple of Rhapsody and Use a better non subscription service pay per song or album like you would on a desktop... it's in the Windows Marketplace for free, but those using T-Mobile HD2 the newest OS upgrade includes this and a few other goodies.
Its been a while since I posted a rom. This rom is simple and pretty basic. I have included alot of Programs which are included in the code below. sorry no pics.
My rom is setup as a sfx that will automaticly run and delete the excess files. just click the JollyRoger Icon and away you go.
I personaly dont like titanium so there are a few good today screen plugins available for built in... (it saves almost 2megs with out titanium) Easy today launcher is a nice customizable today screen launcher that works great.
BIG THANKS to Mattsm JooJooBee Tplane37 everyone at PPCKitchen team, and all those at the forcedevelopments. Not to forget all those who have come before me and have taught me so frigging much! With out them none of this would be possible.

Few quick comments... the Opramini cab in the windows directory was the only way I could find to get that on there. just install that cab and the there you go. (should pop-up in Auto-install options) Also, the rom is built carrier free so you will need to install a carrier cab.
Lemme Know whatcha think and what I can do to improve/change the setup! thanks!
it is an .exe it will download as an exe. just click the icon or select run after download and away you go!
You can extract the .nbh from the file if you want instead of double clicking on it, right click and choose open not run... you can pull the nbh out and go from there.
