I have a QTEK 8500 and it works in WM5, so i like to change the OS to the best ROM. but i'm so afraid to change it because i think if something happens wrong my smatrphone can be killed . But i want to take the risk so before i do that, i'd like to know what are adventagges about to install the new ROM? and what is the best? because i was looking for the forums and i found in some forums 3 ROMs and some forums said: there were some bugs and i want to know if that's already fixed . I hope somebody can help to me, i will be very pleased. thxsss!!!!!!!!!!

Hey all,
Finally got my XDA/ Wizard sorted. Can now install ROMs. I installed WM6 but my phone didn't like it, memory wise.
Can anybody recommend a good WM5 rom while please providing a link?

Ok, I've done a bit more research. God these things aren't easy to figure out.
When I first got my XDA/ Wizard it had a version of Windows 5 installed which was a little buggy. I thought I upgraded but it seems to have "downgraded". It's lost a lot of the features I thought were standard. I'd like to go back to the firmware/ rom which was installed as I've found bug fixes.
I don't know which rom it was, I'm new to all this
If I could describe the boot up perhaps someone might recognise it?
When it booted up, the boot screen there was some kind of Manga/ Final Fantasy type picture of a man and woman, I think. The Windows screen was green with some sort of squiggle/ circle.
I know this is very vague but I know you guys know your stuff

Please help me guys in updating my ROM into good one or latest.. because i dont want my ROM.. i just checked my ROM is Basics 211 when i start up my phone. this HTC diamond my mom just gave it to me so, i dont know whats happening.. i used iPhone in the past few months.. tell me what is the required tools in order to update my ROM guys.. i hate the present ROM basics 211 because it has a lot of bugs in my observation.. like music player it stops @ 1 minute.. and unlike what i saw in youtube.. other great ROM in htc diamond i fast.. unlike mine.. i don't like it.. Help me guys..

For starters all you can do to learn how to flash/update your ROM is to Read read & read. Start here on the Diamond section http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=428
Keeping looking and reading you'll find all the info you need. Because ROM Building and/or flashing is a little complex to explain here. Trust me, all of us here on this forum started the same way, but we learn.
And since your Diamond has Windows Mobile 6.5 already on it, someone had to have already updated the ROM, because the Diamond came with 6.1.
So if thats the case your ROM should already be unlocked for flashing un-offical ROMS. So atleast the 1st step is already taken care of.

Please can anyone tell me where to find a good and stable ROM for flashing my HTC Tianxi T9188. My brother brought it back from China and left it with me. Unfortunately, I dont understand the Chinese language it came with and need to flash in an English ROM to be able to use the phone.
Its a shame that I have such a nice phone but cant use it due to the language issue.

HTC Tianxi is the China only released version of the HD2. Some differences - CPU, RAM and TD-SCDMA. To me this seems a slightly lower spec'd phone than the HD2.
Check out pdadb.net - run pdacomparer. Doubt there would be any other language version's. At your own risk you could try some HD2 - built roms or ICS Andriod roms.
Thats the problem tx. I was hoping I culd get an English ROM for the HTC Tianxi T9188 and not have to experiment with the HD2 ROMs, considering that both phones have different hardwares. Thats the risk I dont wanna take cos of the possibility of bricking the phone. I did come across an Android ROM though but I can see CHS in the name of the ROM which tells me that it is still a Chinese ROM all the same.
Another problem I am facing is flashing the HardSPL for the Tianxi. It us using SPL 1.27.0000 and I cant find a hardspl flasher which is compatible with it. I have searched here and in other forums and Google and any other place you can think of, still nothing. Have tried the ones I have seen online and always met an error. Any help here will be most appreciated.

If you have SD Card try loading (SD version) in the root and (MAGLDR) boot etc. If that works then it may take NAND versions.
Other than experiment, sorry cant be of more help.
I have tried all the hardspl flashers I can find in the thread you gave ... from HSPL to HSPL4. Non of them could work for the Tianxi. All gave the same BAD ID error and wont flash the HardSPL.
Please help me anyone ... I am getting frustrated by this

Tried many things from Youtube and not successful at doing so , So I need professional help how to do it correctly. Hi, I am new of this forum and in particular i'm new about custom roms.
I have an htc620g with OS 4.4.2 and limited HTC Sense (this is the excuse that HTC uses to forgive of 620g problems) which has a lot of problems, in particular with bluetooth. So I would try to change its rom hoping that it helps me and what I have to do.
