When in phone I use ES File Explorer, all files and folders show fine.
But when i mount the phone via USB some of the folders and files (app files) are invisible, if i try to copy them from PC to the same place as I did before, it says it cannot copy (the ones with the same names already exist, just invisible for some reason).
Any idea why it happens?
I never see something like that with SGS2 and HTC Sensation
Hi there,
Do you have the files on your SD card or on the internal storage of the phone?
I got the same issue and I got the files on my SDCard which is exFat formatted... I guess the exFat system causes the issue with my files...
This is with 64GB Sandisk microSDXC card
So, do you mean that we need to make it NTFS?
I am having this same issue. I have also 64GB exfat. So far I haven't found a solution. I tried to unmount the card in the phone and it did show all the files for awhile but then most of the files disappeared again. Hopefully someone can solve this annoying issue.
Could you tell us what kind of files are hidden for you?
I have some APK files and folders with APKs hidden
I have music folder which includes lots of music files (most of them mp3) and also folder with JPEG files which aren't visible.

My phone is Doogee DG800 and i didn't make any software modifications and i'm total android noob. So, I've downloaded the apk+sd content for my GPU - Mali. Readme file says that i have to move sd content to sdcard/Android/obb. On my phone's sd card i have folder called "data", instead of obb. Same on my phone's memory. Also my phone's internal memory is diplayed as "sdcard0". Sd card's directory is diplayed as "sdcard1". Anyway, i copied the sdcontent folder to my sd card's folder "data" and installed the apk file. After i ran it, started to download some required files (604mb is exact size). Then the application crashed. Please, help me! I don't know even if this is the right place for my thread.
I just starting have a problem today that I hope someone can help me fix. I was transferring a file from my PC to my phone when I received a "File Cannot be Transferred" notice, and a hanging copy progress screen. So I clicked cancel, safely removed my phone, and unplugged. Now I have nothing showing on my SD, in Storage Settings it displays the card along with an accurate Storage remaining (4.5 GB out of 64 GB), but the file explorer displays no files. I've tried rebooting, unmounting/remounting my card, and still nothing. I went into recovery and can see files and deleted the partially transferred file, when I reboot, the SD card loads, Folder Mount runs and successfully mounts to my SD, I can even go to the file explorer and see files briefly, then within a minute or two.....poof everything disappears. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Android Nougat's own basic "File Explorer" doesn't reflect proper storage space!?
So here's the deal.
Since Nougat doesn't allow direct editing of SD card by 3rd party file managers, I started to use Android's own basic file explorer. (I created a shortcut using an app from the store).
Nougat's own basic File Explorer is simple, basic, clean and works well, except: After you move a file between internal storage and SD Card, although the files are moved, the free storage space don't reflect that change.
And the only fix to this is a restart. After a restart the File Explorer shows the proper Storage Space. But the issue still remains if you move any files again.

So does anyone have any idea why this is and how to fix this?
If not, are there any File Managers that can edit the SD Card (External Storage)?
Thnx for any help!
No one has any idea?
