Just to let you know HTC Asia has just posted a new Rom for the NEON on there website.
Doesn´t say anything about being wm6.1, i´m downloading it now and i´ll update you soon.

the neon is touch dual with other bluetooth ship to have fm radio.

I believe it comes with NEON - 1.58.25.17

So does that mean this is the japan version of dual?? that it have wifi rom?? with no 3g??
Anyone tested it?
The neon has a different chipset, FM included for example. There is NO WiFi included. Don't flash the ROM as it is you maybe brick your device if you've got a niki. You can only take the OS-part of the ROM. If you don't know what I'am talking about just leave it as it is!

Just so you are aware the Telstra AUS edition of this phone has more memory than is listed on the wiki page you are pointing too.

This is a HTC ROM for devices with a HTC CID, remember we dont have HardSPL yet to get past this, patience sir

it's not branded, htc touch pro original/unlocked europe version from expansys. It seams that the cid from asia is diferent from the europe version then.

Can you elaborate on the benefits of this please?
The only thing I know is that you can use Radios higher than 1.64 with Niki! I also don't know if these drivers also speed up the whole system!

The Best Buy version is a 400mhz Neon300 that has a stock WM6.1 ROM which has no GPS.
But this update coming soon looks like it is for NIKI devices.
More looks like another joke by young owner....

Hi Tom, by "Official" do you mean that the english build you posted is the same as the one I got on my ATT Pure when I purchased it last week from ATT? Or is this a generic non-ATT OR better yet is this a 6.5.1 build?

It appears to be a generic WWE 6.5 rom (not a 6.5.1 build). Manila 2.1 with weather home screen thingamabob.

The ATT Pure ROM I have is; 2.16.162.1 (67041) WWE
The official ROM 2.16.405.4 (67041) WWE
So it is the same version as the ATT Pure ROM but a none branded one
The update is dumb. I do not even want to try it! Definitely cooked ROMs are much better. We waited so many months for garbage! Paid close to $600 for this garbage diamond2 interface.
Will change when the HTC Dragon/Passion comes out.
how hard to remove copilot from rom?
I dont use it here in the States and the help link is broken in the help menu anyway. Is this package hard to remove then recook? Other than copilot being in the ROM, it is perfect for me. Thanks

The TMOUS has more Storage Space 1024 compared to 512, and has a radio that supports the TMOUS Freq's , also it is actually a little larger than the EU one ...
Just look in the ROM's thread you will find all sorts of 6.5.x ROMs that are compatible , just read the "How To's" on flashing ROMs .
Also the TMOUS has more RAM 576 ....
You should be able to tell if it is a US by the size of storage, but I am sure there are other was , via model number, S/N and such , and of Course ROM Version ...
Go Settings and About Phone, and there you will find, Hardware, and Software information ...
the quickest way to tell is the tmous has green and red send/end keys, other hd2's are all white, and it says 'T Mobile' under the earpiece, regular leo says nothing.

Go with a custom ROM

no. once the sim is unlocked it can't be locked againby flashing.

They are all HD2 roms. They won't work on TG01 as we have different hardware.
If you want, there are few roms in my signature made for TG01 that you can try. There are many more roms in this forum too, if you want to try for TG01.
that i think, too, but i have seen the Android style Mod running in a tg01. The owner says, that he has put only the Radio and from the orig Rom the TG01 payload into this Rom, and that will work.!?!

no, it not so easy .. this is a HTC HD2 ROM with Driver Packages only for HD2.
the HD2 custom Roms is not possible to dump and re- cook for TG01.
