I've been busy trying to find a working media player with a built in equilizer as I've lost the ability for TCPMP and also WOW HD equilization with upgrading to n2c 5067 kitchen. Even the HTC equilizer hasn't been working...
Found this (http://www.freewareppc.com/multimedia/gsplayer.shtml) on freewareppc.com and its working flawlesslly. Its GSPlayer and its built in equilization along with surround and base boost are working great. I'm glad to have my bass back!

I am going to mod to a better ROM from one of those given in the development thread soon, but one thing they all fail to mention is whether their ROMs have enabled Stereo Widening or not. This feature is awesome in Galaxy 3. But LG Optimus One doesn't have it. So is there any trick to enable the enhancements or something similar so that we get the wide effects plus equalizer in the default android media player. As I don't remember seeing any other custom app having stereo widening either. >.<

I have PowerAmp to use for equalizers. I need the DSP effects like Wide /Stereo Widening, Live, Concert Hall, etc etc
Search for dsp thread. The thread has both the apk and the zip file and also a lib so file. Kindly test it and give us your feedback.

Tried doesn't work DSP MANAGER has no effect whatsoever we still need to somehow mod that libaudioslinger.so library to make it.....Can anybody suggest more ways to improve audio playback quality on O1 ???

i tried installing and also replacing stock app with root explorer ..neither works...plz i want to turn O1 into a sound machine..
Also Is there a s/w decoding based music player that offer awesome audio along with DSP effects like reverb etc...600MHz is powerful enough to produce good quality audio i believe..

installing according to instructions at http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/install-dsp-equalizer-on-your-rooted-android-phone-with-froyo-stock-rom/ only leaves o1 audio-less i.e. replacing stock libaudioflinger.so ..messes up the audio
ALso i m not running stock ROM..However its noejn's mod of the stock rom ,Megatron... HElp i m an audiophile
I am also looking forward to more options, improvements and advancements in this area. A working dsp like application will be awesome. One can use equalizers in video also. Btw, does anybody know of an app that allows audio equalizers in videos?

m already using poweramp..Aint as good as i wished...just give me reverb and i m good .have been using LADSPA's freeverb for ages on Linux ..so without it audio sounds os very plain

But since the natural frequency response is not as good (not close to ideal as iphone or nokia 5800xm), how much would these apps help ?

Actually PowerAMps Eq is quite effective actually...n it reduces crosstalk too... poweramp's stereo sucks (isnt wide enough for my tastes)....
is anybody using gingerbread's music player on froyo??? Does it bring any changes
i use PowerAMP and i think its pretty cool. The EQ was great !
Is it possible to use SRS 5.1 Virtual Surround effect on other apps besides embedded music and video player? I would love to use spotify with 5.1. In theory is it possible that someone created an app that would force SRS to run constantly?

There was a modder at my old Symbian community, HyperX, he made a mode for the Samsung Omnia HD (aka i8910) and he actually forced that feature to work no matter where.
So imo it is possible but I guess there was no demand for it so no modder made one ?

I was wondering it it would be possible to incorporate SRS Enhancement within a media player app. I have a zipped package with 20 different equalizers including Dolby digital and SRS. I am developing the app to be put on the play store.

Recently I've bought a new great headset so i decided to get the best sound as the ace can.
-At first I downloaded ( still downloading...) sound files in .FLAC format , which is better (and heavier) than a MP3 320.
-Then I got an audio player, I personally chose Poweramp which is very simplistic and has a lot of settings ( and itself ecualizer).
-For geting much more options than DSPManager , I replace it for Viper4Android which in my opinion is the best.
I have to say that im on last cm10.1.6 by mardon because only android 4.0+ supports .flac files.
Btw my headset: Sennheiser HD 449.
If anyone knows how to get better sound experience post it, I wrote the ways I chose for enjoying much more every song.
I accept every opinion so share your audio players , audio format , ecualizer and that stuff.
