Regarding the sound, use this cab and you will have full access to the sound settings for your phone, but be careful cause you can blow your speaker by setting it too high. I can't speak for the vibration settings, I don't know why DCD would turn them down (doubtful).
Check this thread, it is sorta close to what you are looking for.
You could also use PhoneAlarm I think it will change the profile of the vibration, but I don't think it changes strength.

Personally, I wouldn't use nueAudio.
If you haven't already installed nueAudio, try this cab first. Then soft reset.

GC I thought this was integrated into DCD rom (that he cooked the new audiopara.csv file into the kitchen/rom), right?

I have terrible hearing myself - once the audiopara cab is installed - everything was PERFECT. Listen to GC - he knows...

no, there's a difference. with gc's, the phone is noticably louder and less crisp. I think it serves the requested purpose.
I like the old 3.1.6 sounds better. How to change back, GC? I don't see it in the remove programs list.

That's because it's just a simple file copy cab. Have you tried turning the volume down a little? I bet you can get it to be louder than the max setting was before, but still clear enough for your liking. Personally, I crank mine all the way up to the max.
If not, you can install this cab and soft reset to revert.

thanks for both. i'll play with them both over the next few days and decide which is better for me.

I believe you if you say so. I thought this would be something DCD would bake into the ROM for himself as his UC notes don't have some cab like this.
Thanks! I am trying now.

I tried to updated a coworkers stock XV6800 and it wont work. Are both the Original PARA and GC Modified not compatible? Trying to avoid Hard Reset as it will kick them off the server that now only allows Crackberrys

The audiopara cab I posted won't work on the stock rom.

There is no question that this cab is better. The sound overall is much better. Thanks GC.

GC14 Thanks I just figured that out. I found the original and got the volume back. I have modified my rom so it worked Awesome. Was trying to help her out. I will adjusted it others ways as suggested.

Installing it now...
Adds video messaging? Can you confirm it allows a non-6800 phone to send to a 6800 phone? Holy crap, that might be worth it.... Still no GPS with this one though, right?
I am going to have a hard time giving up DCD's awesome work for an Alltel stock ROM, please report how well it's working.
Also, isn't the ROM pictured there the old one they had out a long time ago?
Windows Mobile 6.
I am uninstalling all the crap and will try google maps (GPS) after.
Add/Remove shows 3 I have not seen before:
"Customization Hide_cannedtxt"
"Customization Hidden"
"Customization PPSTCAB"
I will leave those there for now. More updates to come.
Downloaded, phone synced, and in the debate with myself if I want to do it.
There is a thread at PPCGeeks about it, seems to be working fine.
My plan is to install the ROM update for no other reason than the radio update, which appears to be newer, and hopefully the MMS messaging will FINALLY work on this phone.
Negative on GPS.
It's funny, I wont bat an eye to throw in the latest version of whatever ROm onto the phone, but have been sitting here for 15 minutes debating on flashing the official ROM.

At PPCGeeks, it was verified as working with flashing a different ROM over it, something like DCD's 3.04. Possibly like before with the Sprint update, just don't let the customizations run?
If anyone is wondering, this is the same OS build as the Sprint release but it is including a newer radio. When I'm home and have the time I'll check to see if the drivers are any different than what was included by Sprint.
[edit] I've just updated our Titan wiki for this new Alltel ROM and radio
After flashing this official ROM, picture and video MMS works. Didn't change a thing in settings, and just received a video from a non-ppc6800 phone.
Now the question is, how do we get GPS working. If we can do that and keep the functioning MMS, I will be one happy camper.
I really want some of the things 6.1 had, like the threaded messaging.
If I were to slap DCD's 3.04 on this thing, would whatever the hell they did to have working MMS be erased? Hopefully someone smarter than me can answer that, cuz I really want to.

Certainly. It may be one of the files in the extended ROM that are providing the service. In the previously mentioned PPCGeeks thread, vetvito has extracted those alltel apps and customisations and are available for download. Those of you on Alltel could test installing those CABs onto another ROM and see what they provide you.
If I'm around the next few days and not heading out for the weekend I may add the alltel settings as an option into my kitchen. Once done, those OEMs will be available for all. Or DCD or another may beat me to it.

Gimme a few, and I will.
It has version 3.0.26.11C for Arcsoft. I will get the registry now.
yeah, the mms settings can easily be setup in my kitchen.
hopefully they will work with 5.x, i really dont want to go back to arcsoft 3.
So anybody try this with the new arcsoft on DCD's 3.0.4. Dont want to reflash rom (again and again, again) with new arscoft to try unless someone else is having luck with it.

I haven't tried it yet. But, after successfully receiving one video message from a non-6800 phone, the next one gave me the same axxess pics crap as before. I suspect it might have been over the 300k limit, and that's what causes it to pop that up. If there is a way to increase the 300k limit, that might help also.
I will do some more checking on what works and what doesn't.
I think im gonna try tonite anyways, will post what happens...wont get my hopes up though.

dcd 3.2.4 scrapped - please remove this thread

too much was messed up in this rom, and it was removed.
thanks everyone who helped clear up bugs.
this entire thread is just fixes to a release that was quickly backed out. mods, can we move this to trash?
3.2.5 is now here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=413039
DCD, how will I ever manage to stop flashing my phone if you keep putting out new ROMs with more and more precious free memory?
I better hurry up and figure out one of these autoinstallers so I don't have to spend 2 hrs reinstalling everything after a flash. You're making me fail out of school
J/K, great work on the ROMs!!
Edit:
I'm not sure if it was intentional or not but your screenshots appear to be from 3.2.3, not 3.2.4. (CE OS version and ROM version numbers)
I've been eagerly waiting for this..
Thanks DCD
I have kinda been waiting for this, along with some other updates coming soon....
Great work, I think I will go try it out!
Just curious why you are using radio 3.42.02 instead of 3.42.30
Thank you!
wow, you are amazing
I just got my phone the way i like it (like an hour ago) and poof a new version comes out.
thanks again for all your work.
I'm also curious about your Radio version....
does this version fix the the call waiting tone/alarm??
i think the keyboard is setting itself to really short repeat rate.
start -> settings -> buttons -> up/down control -> delay before first repeat
move it back to the middle and the kb should act better. ill fix this later.
i cant reproduce the call waiting sound anymore so its probably fixed within all the phonecanvas changes.

[ROMeOS² v1.21] Change volume of calling and push-mail doesn't seem to work!

Hi! I haven't updated to v1.22 Beta 3 (yet), but I thought it would be handy to create a thread for this, since I think not everyone is willing to scroll through 164 pages of text
It seems that changing the volume during a call doesn't work and my push-mail also doesn't work (I have to click send/receive manually). I've enabled the 'use settings while roaming' setting and my peak times and off peak times are both 'As items arrive'.
I don't have a clue why changing the volume during a call doesn't do anything. Do you guys have any idea (...and now I hope you don't all say I have to update to Beta 3 in which these specific issues were fixed )?
Thanks in advance!
btw. Awesome what you guys have done, creating a ROM like this certainly is something uber-1337
I don't think you should start a new thread, but anyway.....
Your thread title says 1.22, but you say you have not yet upgraded to BETA3(1.22)
Maybe you should start by telling us what version you'r currently running.
I'm running 1.21, and changing volume during call works fine for me.
I don't use Push mail.
The HTC Volume Control is removed from ROMeOS 1.21 so you have to install it manually.

I tried both (with and without the HTC volume CAB installed). I really wonder what it is
I had that experience myself. During the voice call the volume was very loud and I posted in the ROMeOS thread and no one answered me.
When I tried the HTC Volume Control I had control on the Volume during the calls. And I successfully lowered the Volume.

Slide to Answer app. for VZW?

I am wanting the slide to answer app. for VZW. The One that I saw didnt work on CDMA phones. Anyone know any information?
Thanks!
This is what I have been using on my VZW Touch Pro.
Not sure who should get credit because I can't remember where it came from but who ever did it, they deserve the credit.
Skin
Do I need the default skin enabled for this to work??
EDIT: I tried it with the default skin ON and OFF and Neither of them worked
Are you using the stock ROM or did you flash to another ROM?
ROM
I am using Scrosler's ROM. I got rid of the stock ROM a long time ago
Same here.
I am using a ROM from the SSK 1.2 kitchen with slide to answer.
Not sure what is causing the problem for you?
Is it giving you any error messages.
It replaces the dialer skin (it's better if you ask me) but I didn't have to stop/start anything for it to work. Just clicked on the cab and off I went.
I just uploaded new versions of the Black CDMA CABs that I made located here, fixed some registry entries and adjusted some images. The Full version should have everything you need.
Still haven't figured out the Landscape issue, but I haven't given up yet.
Thank You!!

I am jealous right now! I tried both of the Black CAB files and neither worked. I did try CONFLIPPERS version and it worked great...but it is white. I REALLY want the black
UPDATE: I tried uninstalling S2U2 (since that changes the skin as well) did a softreset. Installed S2A and then a softreset and it STILL didnt work. I really dont know what else to try at this point.
The only thing I would suggest is to hard reset (backing up before hand) and try it then.
There must be something that is preventing it from making the edits (S2U2 maybe).
It works it works!!!
I found out what I was doing wrong. I was installing it to my storage card to save space instead of the device.
Thanks for all your help guys! Sorry I was dumb
Yeah, installing to storage card will prevent it working correctly as you discovered.
HTC TP on VZW running custom ROM.

Unfortunately, no. The only versions with the curtain are GSM only as they were ripped from the HTC Touch HD which is a GSM phone. They will work on CDMA devices, but not 100%.

[APP] WifiNoStandby - stop wifi going to sleep [Update 14-MAY-2010]

First off, thanks to kmeta for the registry edit that allows wifi to stay on when the device is in standby (can be found here).
The problem with that registry change is that it resets itself at reboot so that wifi turns off in standby again. Since this was a pain to have to keep modifying, and the only other solution in the above thread meant using MortScript, I threw this little app together. It simply runs at startup and sets the value of the registry key.
If it doesn't work on your device then it probably means that the registry change is device specific, but I don't believe it is. Please let me know if it doesn't work and we can take it from there.
Edit:
Note, even though the app only runs at startup, the cab file makes the registry modification so you don't have to restart after an install.
Thank you, will try it on my HD2!
Does it close itself entirely after changing the reg on startup?

Yes, it doesn't stay running. It literally makes the registry change and then shuts down - it's all it needs to do.
Works great! Thanks a lot
FYI, 'manually' changing the wifi in standby registry key on my HD2 with BSB Tweaks or HD2Tweak doesn't work for me. Even when doing it every time after a soft reset, wifi just won't stay connected after some time in standby mode. With this little app it simply works.
I wonder what it does different?

That might be the cause, because BSB Tweaks only makes the registry changes when you soft reset which does nothing in this case, because the key is gone again after a soft reset.
Anyway, thanks for that nice CAB. I have yet to try it, but I am already saying thanks in advance and will post my results after I had the chance to test them tomorrow at university.

It should be fine, since it's running WM 6.5. Maybe it's something to do with the custom ROM you're using. Does it have any power saving features? Do you have any 3rd party power saving software that could shut down Wifi? Maybe HDTweak, as I believe that has an option to do the same as this program.
