neon vs niki
Hi everybody i'm a new htc user and i'm wondering what are the differences between neon and niki..
Because i search almost everywhere and the only little difference i've found is the amount of memory (niki 256 vs only 128 of neon) found on wiki...
So i was thinking..what makes a neon rom not fit for a niki??
Is my question stupid because you can put a neon rom on niki and maybe not viceversa or there's something dark and suspicious that make this wonderful rom with opera 9.5 won't go on my niki instead of a worst neon???
please answer me because i need to know..it drives me crazy thin nonsense thing!!!!

Can you post a screen shot of the pie crash? Or what message you get. My one is working fine.
I have´t figured out how to get the hardware keyboard to work with Opera.
with the PIE crash the whole phone freezes.
update:when i hardreset the phone PIE is working fine.but after setting up my phone and installing a few programs it crashes.installed programs are:htc end key,htc kaiser n2a home weather patch(tried uninstalling too),live search,IM+ and photohunt mobile.
update2:fixed,its was the save location in advance config.in order for it to PIE to work you must have the cache,temporary etc. save in the default location and not on storage card.

I put the rom on my neon300.
The new today screen is nice, only after the customizing device screen it never re-appeared.
When opening the CommManager from Settings, I get:
Failed to reading "Software\HTC\CommManager\0"...

another bug found.on neon300 on fresh flash,hardware keyboard n on-screen keyboard works.after a while they both stop working n only inputs numbers n not letters.any fix for this?

This looks very promising.. I just bought a Neon300. And I'm a complete noob when it comes to the flashed roms etc... But this looks beautiful, but I need to learn I little more before re-flash my phone..
I'm using an unlocked NEON300 from best buy. On a t-mobile network, So no 3G . And I need to learn more about how the radios etc. I currently have Radio Version 1.65.20.19. So do I just hardSPL my phone and install this rom? And were can I find a back up stock rom for my phone,or how do I back up my rom if I want go back the original ROM. Sorry, so many question.. I'll just continue to read these forums for more answers.. But it gets confusing with the NEON vs. Nike. They seem like there are quit a few deferences..
I wouldn't mind beta testing but I have a lot to learn.....

Does the video call work?
When i enable HTC Home in the Theme the time displays twice in the HTC Home and in the Today Items (its disabled in the today items)
Disapaeared after playing with the phone abit unusual but its gone atleast

No there will not be a version with cube but they do have fingerscrolling.

WOrking great until now. I must say i am surprised by the large amount of free ram memory. It includes a lot of applications and there is not need to include much more so you really save space, and as it is implemented in rom you get everything really tight on it. It works smooth even without overclock.
I will check how does it behave with touch skin on phone and comm manager.
I don't miss anything as i hate cube

M$ intended to make WM6 without sounds when pressing thats why there is no sound in start menu

Problem with Battery Status (270)
After installing BatteryStatusExt.1.04.UPXed.build_0270 - I get problems and it disappears - This seems to be the case with all 6.1 based ROMS (tried all Shadow 2 versions)
With WM6 - it works fine. Not sure if this is a compatibility problem or not.

Install a correct SPL before flashing this ROM. You can find them in the WiKi. SPL OliNex suggested.
Before flashing this ROM you HAVE to install Hard-SPL 1.90.OliNex (thank you so much!!!), who have already done this can go directly to the FLASH step.
Install a correct RADIO (WM6.1 compatible), which can be installed before the ROM without any problem.

I.e:
1. T9 cannot be disabled through hardware keyboard [Fn+Space]
2. Symbol key is unresponsive no mater what configuration I use for keyboard language [through Schaps Advanced config]
...
What is happening? Do you experience the same problems or is it just me?

Could I ask for differences between v9 and v9.1? Cause i want to know whether it is worth for another flashing.

The staff make several graphics packages color ... I do not know when they are finished but I could see the black, blue, green, orange...

finally got all apps installed and have to say, EXCELLENT JOB!! from the graphical layout to the smoothness of the rom itself. i havent found any bugs yet and ive tested all basic stuff. data conn., gps locked in about two mins after hard reset. and im sure if i run gps test itll lock faster from now on. all in thanks a lot for the rom, ill be keeping it for awhile. and can u all upload the wallpaper used in case we switch from it? oh, this is small and ive seen it on every rom. but, i use wisbar advance and that also skins the wait cursor dependent on the theme. but, it doesnt work. i just get no wait cursor when i have the option checked.

- Titanium plug-in is not enabled by default. Enable it from Start -> Settings -> Home -> Items -> Windows default , if you want.
Camera:
- Camera drivers are not loaded by default. They will be loaded automatically each time you press the camera button, and unloaded when you close it by x. Just use it!
- Camera may become locked if you don't close it with x. Simply use "Unlock Camera" from "Camera Utilities" in "Start" menu to unlock it, if it occurred.
- Load/unload drivers temporarily from "Camera Utilities" in "Start" menu to use other camera software (eg. CoolCamera). No restart is mandatory.
- Use these Cabs to permanently load the Camera drivers or to unload them (as the default setting). Device should be restarted to take effect.

29+ MB of RAM sounds very good!
I think the small amount of free memory for wm6.5 is a big problem with our prophets, I hope this rom is a solution for it.

Hey babak00000 yeah it really is the best, i would be interested to colaborate to put some sound, touchscreen and filesystem registry hacks in your version, i will make a fork out of your or you can put those registry tweaks in it already in, anyhow this is the best rom and tweaked works ebtter then any other rom and without bugs.

i have been trying it for 12 hours, very nice until now.
i liked 4-col. portrait/5-col land. start menu.
it's more useful than the other version, almost all icons can be seen in one screen and noo need to scroll much.

Great work. Im kinda new to this stuff but this rom its pretty good. It takes a while to boot, but after that is really smooth. Congrats for the really good work.

WM6.5 development is in progress until now, and it is a beta release, so new versions, such as Bikertibi's are much much better, with fewer bugs.So I recommend you to use them.

Ashburn why are you integrating Motosurf UI in your Lite ROm, If you include it the ROM won't be remains Light because , Motosurf UI is more RAM and space consuming than Manila 2d and make your device slow(Overall,not at first glance),
but this is just a suggestion it's your rom (No offense)

lols, nah no offense taken. I'm taking your words as a challenge. Well from what im experiencing with Motosurf UI. i notice the speed that is given from Manila 2D & The Motosurf. in my experience motorsuft does use The space but not as much as i have expected for a ui thats being built like that. An for the ram part it does not =DD. well nevermind. i will make 2 lite roms that does use Motosurf and does not use motosurf. so it meets everyone's need =D
