I am currently running dcd3.2.0, aand Radio 3.42.02. Since my flash of dcd3.16.0, the phone has a weird way of switching itself into silent mode. I dont know why or how, but it goes to silent and none of my calls, messages or etc ring. Has this happened to anyone else? any ideas on how to disable silent or fix it?
Are you running HTC Home? It has a automatic ringer feature that turns off the ringer when your calendar shows an appointment. I know there are a couple other apps that do the same.

Yes I am, is it a feature of HTC home or do I have to uninstall it?
It is a mode on the sound tab called "automatic". Go to the sound tab and see if it is selected. Change it to ring if so.
hmm this is actually happening to me too, but i thought i was just crazy. sometimes my phone will randomly go completely silent, but i don't have any appointments scheduled or HTC home installed. i use profiles with SPB phone suite, and even on the Normal profile, which normally rings and such, the phone wont ring even on this profile. if i select that profile again, even without switching off of it, the rings come back

I removed HTC Home and it is still doing it, is it something in the firmware that can be changed? I've searched the net, and couldnt even find a key as to try and disable the silent setting. Any other ideas?

That's all I have for ideas. Hopefully someone else on here has seen this before. I know there are other applications that do this other than Home, but don't know which ones. Have you tried a hard reset to go back to the default install of DCD without any added CABs? Perhaps it is one of your applications causing the issues. Try running for a couple days without adding any applications and see if you have issues. If not, add them one by one until your problem comes back. Also, if you are going to hard reset anyway, you might as well move to DCD 3.2.2 and radio 3.42.30 while you are at it.

Hi everyone! I've read these forums for a long time but haven't posted much before. It was doing my research here that led me to buying my Prophet. It couldn't have been a better decision, so thank you! I owe you guys one.
So... I thought it might be helpful to list the issues people have been having with their WM6 builds so far, since right now the problems seem to be spread through other threads. I flashed the PDAViet 4.0.0.0.3 two days ago, and although it runs pretty well, I've run into a couple of problems that other people have seen too:
1. Wifi works only sometimes. I'm really not sure what causes it, but it will always work properly again after a soft reset. It doesn't seem to matter how long my Prophet is turned on - I soft reset last night, put my phone down, and tried the wifi again this morning, and it worked fine. I'm guessing that it might be some other program or system process that's interfering with the wifi/wlan.
2. MMS/SMS. Since I don't use MMS, I can't speak for myself, but I've read other people are having trouble getting their MMS to work properly. I've also read that a small minority of people are having trouble with their SMS. Can anyone confirm/deny this?
3. Missed calls. People have posted that their phones sometimes just won't ring, and they get missed calls. Some say that this can be fixed by downgrading to the 2.19 radio ROM. Has anyone tried this, and did it work?
4. Bluetooth. I haven't had any bluetooth problems, and the bluetooth keyboard I installed works great. However, I've read that other people have been having some problems. Anyone care to comment?
5. Battery troubles. People have said different things about whether or not their WM6 ROMs use more power than WM5; I'm not sure that it actually makes much of a difference. One thing I did notice, though: my Prophet will charge fine when attached to my PC's USB port, but not when plugged into the wall! The yellow light comes on, and it looks like it's charging, but the battery continues to drain. This is easily one of the weirdest problems I've had.
If you have other problems/errors using any WM6 ROM (not just PDAViet), please add on to the list! Say what the problem is and what ROM you're using. Also, if anyone knows fixes for any of the problems, add them here too!
TrueNeytral 1.4 MS BT.
Very few issues. No problems with Missed calls, MMS, BT or battery (10% per day with 2 calls each day). Wifi varies a bit - but no real problem.
Once I mistakenly pressed the flight-mode icon, then turned the phone back on - I didn't recieve SMS for two days, until I re-booted. Strange...
7. Sporadically missing email, wifi and bluetooth settings after soft-reset, even if we turn off the phone everytime a change is made.
Occasional missed calls; seems like they just go right to voice mail sometimes.
Battery life fair with Radio 1.40; it may be a little better with 1.38, hard to tell; definitely better life by turning off 3G
Some minor incompatibilities with BatteryPack Pro, mostly visual things, nothing functional so far
In Windows Live, when checking email if I close an email message Windows Live closes and sends me back to the Today Screen; if I 'reply' to an email, then 'cancel message', it will send me back to the email list, not close the program and return me to the Today page. This bug disappeared for a while and the email functioned properly until I flashed a new radio ROM(1.40), then bug returned

Yeah, me too. I didn't see it happen with my email, and I don't use the bluetooth too much, but it seems like the settings for my home router would mysteriously disappear whenever I soft reset, and I'd have to put in my password again.

I have the same problem. What I've seen: I only loose mails, internet settings, Windows Live Messenger settings, if I use soft reset harware button. Try to use an software program that allow you to soft reset device like XCPUScalar which put in system tray an icon for that function.
If you find something else to remedy that problem please anounce me

Don't forget the password issue.
An important feature for business users - I guess.
Since I've upgrade to DCD 3.2.x ROM's I've had a weird issue with my phone randomly switching itself into vibrate mode. I seems to occur less frequently with the 3.2.6 ROM, but in the last few days it has definitely switched into vibrate mode more than a few times. I've been unable to track down any more details as to why this is occurring (i.e. a program I'm using or something I'm doing and not realizing). I am using HTC Home, I doubt this has a bearing on the situation, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Has anyone else experienced this problem? More importantly has anyone found a fix to this annoying issue?
Thanks folks!
same here
I have had that same problem here recently along with the radio turning off periodicaly for no reason. Had DCD 3.2.6 installed since it came out. No new programs have been installed since the install so I don't think that is it.
HTC Home has a feature to switch your audio profile to vibrate when you have an appointment in your calendar. Ensure that you are not set to "automatic" on your sound tab.
Other than that, no ideas.

I second the suggestion. I had accidentally put mine in automatic and every time an appointment reminder would go off, 10 minutes later it would go to vibrate... took me about 3 days to figure it out.
Now I use it all the time, if your calendar appointment is set to busy, with automatic it will do this. If you don't want the auto-vibrate, set your time to free (that is what I do with kids sports schedule's)...
Not Using Automatic Sound Setting
I'm certainly not using the automatic sound setting in HTC Home so it must be something else...
This is an incredibly annoying issue. I've got a GSM Galaxy Nexus, and it is playing a random notification sound constantly. The strangest thing is that the sound isn't mapped to anything. Like, if I set the default notification to silent, it still plays the same random sound all the time.
I've tried using an app that tracks notifications, but it didn't find anything. I've checked through every app, and none are set to use this sound. And, I'm not using Yahoo Mail (which I've read is often the culprit in things like this).
I'd rather not have to do a hard reset, because the issue started just after a hard reset when I set up the phone for my wife. It's running stock Android 4.2.2, not rooted.
Anyone have any ideas what's going on here?

I'm having the same problem. I haven't checked yet to see if it's just the one notification sound by changing my settings, but my default notification definitely goes off randomly. There is no associated notification indicated on my phone, just the sound. I too downloaded an app that tracks notifications and it didn't find anything either. Nor am I using Yahoo! Mail.
Sometimes it's just one random notification sound. However a few times it's gone off about 10-15 times in a span of 30-seconds. It's really annoying. I too would love to avoid a hard reset, as I just got this phone brand new less than a month ago.
Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4, not rooted, Android 4.2.2
Weird issue came up this morning. Didn't have this before, didn't install anything new, didn't visit any "strange" sites.
Screen is off, but phone lets out a notification sound ( sounds like "click-clack"), didn't get a SMS or a mail, just sounds off now and again. Restarted the phone, automatic sync is off, but i cant for the life of me figure out whats going on. Changed all tones to different ones for a test, and still this same click-clack pops out, screen stays off.
Ideas how to approach this issue? What app to use to check for latest activity using sound or something?
Over the last month or so, my phone has been randomly activating DND mode. It seems like I did not have this issue when I had tilt to wake turned off, so I'm wondering if my watch is causing this. I've also posted in my phone's forum with no responses. Has anyone else experienced this with the Zenwatch? Is there some gesture that activates it?
What is Do not Disturb mode?
Is it just going silent? There is a DND switch in the android wear app that silences the phone when the watch is connected, is that off?
DND is the new silent mode that silences all notifications except alarms and priority.
My ZW2 automatically goes into DND when the power save feature kicks in at 15%.
Yeah you can put the phone and watch into "do not disturb" mode by swiping down from the top of the screen and turning it on or off. I'm wondering if this is somehow accidentally getting switched on there or if it is a software bug with the phone. You can set it to come on on a schedule on the phone, but I have never set that option up.

Ok, the watch is definitely causing this. My phone was in the middle of an upgrade for Android and I noticed that the watch had switched over to Do Not Disturb while it was disconnected from the phone. I may be due for a factory reset.

So, I finally figured out what is causing this. You can enable Do Not Disturb entirely through gestures with the watch. If you twist your arm towards you with the screen on, it will pull down the menu from the top that has your battery and the button for do not disturb. If this menu is open, a quick downward flick of your arm will enable do not disturb. Apparently, I am doing this combination of motions fairly often.
You are a lifesaver with this tip!
The strange thing is that after a while my Zenwatch also does not receive any agenda items (agenda simply shows no items) nor will it receive any notifications (calls, emails etc) whenever the DND issue arises even though I exit DND mode. Until now the only solution I have found to this is doing a hard reset on both my phone (HTC M8 running latest GPE marshmallow) and the Zenwatch 2. The usual tricks like clearing the watch and the Android Wear app do not resolve this.
Any thoughts on what might be wrong?

I never ran into that issue. Mine seemed to go back to normal once I disabled DND. However, my phone had some issues with DND and settings would crash if I tried to adjust the DND settings. I think that this was just a weird issue with my phone and not related to the watch.
I have not had DND enable since I turned off wrist gestures in the watch settings. I also sent feedback to Google requesting to be able to customize or remove items from that drop-down menu. Maybe if others who are experiencing this issue do the same, they will implement some kind of fix.
