After a long search with no positive results I have managed to cab up no2chem's Dual Touch Dialer OEM from the PPCGEEKS OEM pack. All the credit for this installation package goes to him I just managed to cab it up and get it to work. I've wanted this for a long time now because DCD's Kitchen errors if you use this OEM and I'm not willing to run any other ROM just for a dialer.
At the moment this cab will only install over the original WM6.1 dialer and smart dial. So if you are using DCD's Kitchen just don't select any dialers. Also, all keycode shortcuts aren't going to work due to this being a GSM dialer. I will soon be adding a cab to this post that will install shortcuts to those settings that will make them show up in your program files.
Once again all the credit goes to no2chem for an awesome OEM package.

Have you actually attempted to install the cab and get it to work?
Just tested it (to help you fix your voicemail issue), and it wouldn't even install. Failed at the end and said it was unsuccessful. Tried 3 different times, with soft resets in between.
Isn't that the standard Dialer for DCD 3.0.0?
I removed my custom dialer via registry a while back, soft reset my phone and got that similar dialer.

Yes I tested it and am running it. I wouldn't of released it without doing so. Would you try disabling your phone via the comm manager then try to install. Just a random thought..... I know mine was disabled when I first done the install then after that it was enabled when I made some updates and installed it again.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=31922 here's a post where someone got it to install and actually says their vm speed dial works.... wish mine did

Not sure, I've never seen it on a DCD Rom but I can't say I've flashed every update he has released. I just finally stepped up from 3.0.4 to 3.2.2
Just out of curiosity I tried to install a version I have of this that I have used in the past and it wouldn't install either. Maybe have something to do with DCD 3.2.2?
I think carlos is getting confused with the touch dialer dcd includes in all his roms. This is the touch dual dialer. It's a little different.
I'm testing again with flight mode on. I'll report back.
Yeah, no go with flight mode either man. Here are some screens:

I just opened the cab and only seen one issue that would make me question it. Here are new ones with the install directory set to %Windows% instead of Program Files. Weird thing is, I know the cab I used was set to windows and not programs. Maybe it changed it when I was editing the registry to get it to work and I didn't realise it.

No problem...that was actually what I was going to test.

I'll test one more time with new cab and let you know.
Works fine for me but you have to turn your radio off (not put it in flight mode) for it to install. I'm running DCD 3.22. I'll also like to mention that it worked with the original cab he posted.
Is this a CDMA dialer? I looked at the components that this dialer is made up from and it has a lot of things that probably shouldn't be there. It has way more then the HTC Dialer (GSM Touch Dialer).

It's a GSM dialer made to work on a CDMA device. The touch dialer is a little too bulky for my taste but that is one of those " to each their own" situations.

Yeah bored,
Tried both new cabs, with flight mode on, off, and with just the phone off....none of them installed.
Sorry.
What dialer are you guys running? I want to reflash my phone with your configuration and see what resolution I can come up with.
same results. installation was unsuccessful
Hey guys I want to let you know that I got this CAB working.
I made some modifications to it and it installed. It took about 3 to 4 minutes to install but it works. No need to close out comm manager or anything.
Just to let you know.
This is not a CDMA Dialer
I tried dialing ##778 on my XV6800 and it just dialed the phone. This is PURE GSM with Video Calling options Dialer.
Here are some screen shots.

There is one problem I've noticed and that is the speed dial for VM isn't functioning properly. Once I get it fixed I will update the cab but for now if anyone wants to try it out and possibly find the speed dial problem I will make the corrections as soon as I have the time.

I packaged this cab and everything works fine. Except for the CDMA functions and ID picture.
Smartdial and Speedial works well. The only thing that sucks is that you have to manually input the speedial, but that is why you have smartdial in the first place.

That is the battery meter he has included in the custom rom.
DCD, why the older version of Arcsoft MMS? Why not the latest?
Keep up the good work, thanks.
P.S. I see you have attempted to keep this thread bug report oriented only. However, I think it will be pretty hard to keep it that way. Nobody seems to follow directions like that. Plus, there is no other thread to discuss your ROM in besides this one started yet. You might as well just allow this to be the one stop shop for dcd rom info/answers/release/questions... I think it will be easier for everyone. You will only have to check 1 thread!
oops... my bad.
Beautiful work. Thank you!

DCD,
I've been using your custom rom 1.5 for about a week now. Great overall, just have been running into a few bugs, not sure if they are rom related, hardware, or just overall WM6.
Periodically after running for a while (typically 2 days) when the phone screen is powered off (with the power button on the side) it will not come back on without a soft reset.
Incoming calls..... sometimes pushing the green talk button will not answer the phone, and neither will the answer button on the touch screen. I have to hit the end call button and then call that person back.
Blue tooth is always randomly turning off
Memory leak is awful. Almost seems like no resources are released even after programs are closed. I assume this one is WM6 related.

I recently upgraded my mogul from an earlier DCD (I think 3.0.x) to 3.2.5. Everything was great, as is to be expected from DCD. Then, I screwed it up.
I restored a backup that I had made with SPB Backup 2.x. I know you're technically not supposed to do this, and I know that it's my fault, etc. Thing is, everything works great, except for my dialer. I've attached a picture below. The buttons seem to be mapped to where the DEFAULT titan buttons are (small buttons) when I tap the screen.
I messed around with the registry a little, and found that if I change HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin\Enabled to "0" the dialer looks and works like the mogul default screen with those same small buttons.
Can anyone think of a way to fix the dialer to the normal, functioning, DCD dialer (vogue dialer) without re-flashing the rom I cooked, and manually installing all of my programs? I'm not afraid to edit the reg if that'll fix it. I've even tried installing the big button dialer CAB over top of my current mess, to no avail. Thanks in advance!

Providing you cooked the Vogue dialer and not the Titan dialer...try this
Make sure you uninstall anything you've installed to try and remedy it (dialers, reg edits etc) first.
Neat
Doesn't solve my dialer problem, but it's a neat-looking comm manager. I'll hang onto that one. Did you mean to post a dialer by chance? Thanks anyway though, I appreciate all the help I can get!

I definitely cooked the vogue dialer. I re-enabled the skin in the registry, and installed this cab...to no avail.
It actually looks exactly the same as before, which was pretty surprising, since I thought there would be some evidence of the new skin.
Good thought though, thanks.

If you cooked the vogue dialer, and installed this cab...then your dialer should be exactly the way it was when you first booted after the flash.
That's why I said uninstall everything you've done to try and fix it. Something you have on there is causing it to look wrong.
My guess is that the backup you restored contained the default dialer OEM package and not the vogue dialer OEM package. The best bet for you is to either reflash the rom, or hard reset...and stay away from backup tools unless you're just restoring PIM data.

Hi there, congratulations on the new rom.
It is the normal dual camera, not the Opal one, right?
Could you pretty please post the album as a separated zip or cab?
Great!
Hi Gullum! Just installed this rom on my friends new touch dual. Thnx for all, its f*cking great!
i've got only 1 problem:
1. When i press and hold the power button, it asks if i wanna power off(as usual) but when i tap yes, the phone just goes into standby mode, not total power off. . tried using shutxp , doesnt matter... Any ideas or alternatives on how to power off the device? (just a software program is ok as well)
cause im getting tired of pulling out the battery
thnx for all , enjoying your rom's a lot lot!
Hi gullum
Thanks for this Rom it looks promising. I installed it and found the following behaviours:
- Connection Setup isn't working
- Long press the right key (red) won't set the phone locked
- Pressing the power button doesn't turn off the phone
Hope you can manage these and thanks a lot.
can't send SMS with this rom I can write numbers on messages but not letters. Is there any fix?
Edit: I've been searching all over and I think that you need to remove the Opal touch keyboard for the hardware keyboard to work, am I right? Would you please consider doing it so? I bought a Nike for the hardware (20key) keyboard ... :s
The new opal album of M2D upd.19 works great!

Edit: I've been searching all over and I think that you need to remove the Opal touch keyboard for the hardware keyboard to work, am I right? Would you please consider doing it so? I bought a Nike for the hardware (20key) keyboard ... :s

I found a fix. You're probebly trying to use the xt9 with a different language than english.
The solution is downloading the xt9 cab file for your language from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=395085
Why removed the dotnet?
@ gullum: Why did you remove the dotnet package from the rom? I cant get it to install and software like s2u2 needs it
Hi, is anyone else experiencing a problem with their speakers after flashing? The ringtones dont play, I cannot hear anyone on calls and they cannot hear me, as far as I know.
I can hear people if I call them and them me but not if I receive a call.
I have hard reset numerous times, plus reflashed and still no luck? I really like this ROM so would like to keep it and await further updates so any help would be useful.
Hmmm, that appears to be a radio problem, upgrade or downgrade to a more compatible one.
Since I didnt tried this rom I cant advise what radio version to use, sorry...

if the device is already in silent or vibrate profile the application won't change the profile to prevent unexpected results .
did you test other gsensor apps? did your tried other roms?

Flip2Mute works on Flip down only?
Flip2Mute works on Flip the face down only. It can't switch back to normal mode if the phone was face up from down!

no, it can change back the profile to normal. just hold the phone faced up for a few seconds and you'll feel 2 very short vibration feedbacks (25 ms) that shows it changed the profile.
would it be possible to combine the Flip2Mute with proximity/light sensor, so the vibration is activated every time the phone is put into pocket?

Excellent Work!
Thanks for the excellent application... I have been missing this feature for so long now after my touch pro I used srcgprofile for face down mute but it was not compatible with tp2 and caused manila music player songs to break for few seconds while playback. I have to test this application while playing songs via manila music player if it breaks the sound and will report back.
Again thanks for making such a usefull utility for which I have been flamed in different threads for requesting to include this function in most recent thread i got flamed is screenchange.
Hi thisisatest3,

It happened two times out of three when i put my phn in pouch and I didn't install anything else before or after installing f2m but let me just test it out some more as this doesn't turn on the screen or any extra battery drain so its harmless... and really does not matter much to me.
BTW could this be due to gsensor sdk? as camera also use same sdk.

yes, I think you're right. I'm not sure but you may want to update your rom to see if this problem fixes.
