hi everyone,
i'm new here... try to search the WM6.1 suit to my pda but lost...hehe...
actually, i got problem with 3G function..everytime switch my phone band to UMTS for 3G..I cant make/receive phone call or sms...but when i switch back to GSM...everything goes find...wondering somethin' wrong with the rom.. then decided to upgrade to WM6.1..Unfortunately, too many wm6.1...dont know which one is the best..need help from expert...
Recently, I downloaded WM6.1 from seeo2.com...but upgrade process failure cos my current ROM is WME_RC2250407B1 and downloaded rom is WME_RC2140907B2. Now...I dont know where to find it...(RC2250407B2) my second plan is to find RC2140907B1..also failed
So ..guys..help me to solve this problem...

Are there official WM6.1 in seeO2.com? WWE_RC2140907B2 is WM6,
mate. And, when did you buy you Atom Life? I've never heard RC2250407B2...
Try the latest MWg WM6 ROM, mate. Go to www.mwg.com and find it yourself.
And if you have anymore questions about Atom Life, read through all the threads related to Atom Life here and you may find all the answers.

bad news...I only found upgrade software at MWG..not the defalt wm6..

Hi, instead of selecting Mwg Atom Life select O2 Atom Life in the device selection page. When you download the ROM there, the ROM should be WWE_RC2140907B1.

ok The link cleraly states that it is WM6 for Wizard, everyone is free to try port it to Atom. Do not try to upgrade using this file because you will brick your device.
It is possible to upgrade to WM6 only if you have the WM6 rom for your device, which is unavailable.

well try it and find out if there is? That is the point of flashing roms to see if you personally find that the rom is better or worse. What one person finds great in a rom another thinks it is bad. Its all personal taste in the end. But you will never find out unless you try
yeh i suppose so. i'll give 6.1 a try though. is it easy enough to put it back to an earlier rom? total newb here as u might have guessed .

o2 didn't bother to upgrade our poor Atom with WM6 so there is none in existence. That is why xda-dev is here, Im really greatful for breathing new life to our beloved atoms
I know.. But there are so so many WM6 around..
The previous phone owner actually installed Kumara premium for me..
But a lot of my original software like O2 sms plus etc are missing..
I also installed group SMS software but think it conflict.. I can send out but when people reply, I can't receive.. That's why I downgrade back to O2 original ROM

well if you like a clean and stable ROM. I would like you to try the one I'm using, just click on my signature below for direct link. More than 4 months since it's release and no problems what so ever. o2 sms plus is installed. you can always give it a try then if you don't like it. you can always revert back to the ROM you like. just my two cents
There's some error after I install the file and try to run it, it says please download a fresh copy.. some error in the file that you gave me the link =)

Here's one for atom exec. There are other ROM available for atom exec, just search around the WM6 section.

where did you get your diamond wm6.1? i want to download it please.
I recieved an o2 atom life, wm5. Which is unstable.
I want to use this: http://www.mwg.com/atom-life_wm6_pre.aspx
(MWG's WM6.1 upgrade - June 2008).
But it shows "Vendor ID error"... So I guess I need soft SPL...
I searched a while but found only things for Atom/atom Pure... but nothing for atom life...
If I searched using "life" I got many "not for atom life" posts.
Any one that can guide/help me?

download a O2 atom life official ROM
run it, and b4 u really flash ur device, backup "pass.32" (c:/windows/temp)
then run MWG atom life official ROM
replace the pass.32 right b4 the soft detect ur device
be honest....there are not much atom life resource on internet then HTC device, especially here. do more searching and u will know.
Actually, MWg has not yet released any WM6.1 ROM for Atom Life... And MWg might has no plan on it.

i doubt they will ever release 6.1, it's a way to force you buying a new pda.
um.... i think there is no hope for radio stuff and driver
yet we stil have OS part as there custom build 6.1 ROM

Not only the O2 official Rom but you have to find the original rom for your atom life (which is suitable for your device's default language) . And actually, you just need the file "pass.32" , this file is used for cheking your device's default language.
I'll give you may pass.32 to see if it works or not( mine is WWE). All you have to do is download MWG rom, run it, then replace this pass.32 to C:\Windows\ temp , after that connect your device to pc and flashing
To all using Atom liffe, please share your pass.32 please !!

Its already shared in another Medkid ROM's forum. Just search for Pass.32 and you would find.

Try Bajoks ROMs they are fast. After flashing your ROM do the following:
1. Disable the touchflo in the home settings.
2. Tweek the Advance Config settings. Set the systrem cache size to AUTO.
Doing all of these will gain you more or less 20MB free RAM.
