I have wanted a StarTrek for a long time but never did buy one, I ended up with a Tilt instead. Anyhow, I am tired of carrying the huge tilt everywhere and am again looking to the StarTrek but I am having a hard time finding one. There are a few on eBay but only one new one and used cell phones on eBay scare me. Any Suggestions? Anyone have one they want to get rid of?

I just purchased a brand new one on eBay for $105 after shipping. It took about three weeks of checking the list of auctions daily until one popped up in the search results. I even setup a saved search and it emailed me when one was found. If you're patient and check the listings for awhile you'll get a great deal sometimes.
You could try with different keywords:
Cingular 3125
i-mate Smartflip
Dopod S300
Qtek 8500
HTC StrTrk
...
All phones are almost identical, just with different brandings.
So, give it a try.
Here in Germany, I bought mine in a supermarket for 77 EUR (would be ~120 USD).
I have one for sell with the box, software, manual, charger, headphones, data cable and an extra battery. $175 shipped and insured. It is in really good condition, bu the paint is worn slightly on the corners of the battery cover. I can send pictures to you if you would like.
Email me at [email protected]
I am paypal verified and can ship it in the morning.

I know they are relativelyinexpensive item, but when I broke one & lost one I went out to buy a replacement. I could get any number of palm stylus 3 for $9 or 3 for $19 but none that fitted my XDA IIs. Then I went online and found the cheapest I could get mine was 3 for $30. Has anyone found any cheaper ones?
Also be aware of the 3 in 1, if the tip comes off for the pen, it can get stuck in the clip that holds it...
Good point about the 3-in-1 stylus. While in Hong Kong, I tried a few different brands until I found one where the cap didn't come off. I had to use needle nose pliers to pull them out. It is better to find this item at a retailer because you do want to test them. It is a great accessory though.
Replacement Stylii
Has anyone had any luck finding replacement styli for the Blue Angel? Mine broke last night, and I can't find the second which -- theoretically -- came in the box. I found my styli for my old XDA, my XDA II and some plastic one for an original Palm Pilot I still have laying around... <sigh>.
Anyway, I see them up on eBay -- and the sales prices aren't too bad. But the shipping and handling are three times the cost of the stylus -- and the price "break" for ordering multiple items only makes shipping for the additional items cost as much as the stylus itself!!!
Anyway, any direction you can point me would be most appreciated.
Thanks!
has anyone found a cheap stylus yet? i would be willing to buy in bulk and sell them at cost to everyone on here.

Hello, I have a Qtek 9100 and unfortunately I dropped it and scratched the front of the casing up pretty bad. The phone is still in perfect condition and not even a scratch on the back or the screen. I am looking for the front housing. I do not have any scratches on the rear housing, keyboard, or even the battery cover. I have looked on Ebay and the only thing that I have found is for around $100 (US). I do not want to pay that much for something that I can conceivably drop again. So my question is; is there anyone out there that knows where I can get a front housing? I would even buy the total housing to use as a backup but I do not want to spend an arm and a leg for it. I would greatly appreciate any feedback anyone has.
First of all: PLEASE do NOT cross post your question in all (Wizard) forums. One should be enough.
The best way to get spare parts is HTC itself. I bought a battery-cover from htc-europe at a reasonable GBP 10 (or was it $ 10?). Just send them a message via the contact optio n on their website
Get a dummy device
Hi,
Purchase a dummy device from ebay. All the external parts are identical to the ones originally installed.
Regards.
Íñigo
Have you replaced the housing of an actual phone with the housing of a dummy phone. I would just like to be clear before i go out and buy one.
I suggested the same thing over at HoFo and someone replied that they are different. If it were me I'd drop in to a Tmo store to verify though.
Edsub: That's a good response and info. Thanks for the post.
found this site when i was looking for the entire facia for the 8125... they do have alot of other phone types listed too. the 8125 facia runs about $79.
Actually the dummy phones are all one solid piece of plastic, so unless you're going to try to cut the front piece off and superglue it, that won't work at all.

I called brightpoint in Germany for two battery covers.
They did send it by UPS without charging me anything.
If someone is interested in the phone number or email, just pm me
go to the htc web site. They have a phone number for ordering parts. I needed a batter door, and they sold me one for 12.00 plus 7.95 shipping. I had it in 4 days.

I ordered one off ebay (see the link below), I figured £4.20 its worth a try, no doubt a bad copy.
Any it took about 10 days to arrive from Hong Kong, not bad given postage was included, I must say its the real deal (even down to the emboseed HTC logo), identical to the Diamond ones, but exactly the right size, its so good i ordered a spare
I've bought/used a number of pouches, cases, etc... all more expensive and this winds hands down.

I've ordered from the same seller, should arrive in a few days.

Probably, i didn't see any, but since this was the one i liked i never search for other type.
I ordered one of these from ebay, came in about 7 days. The only thing I would suggest to anyone wanting to buy one is that you will need a screen protector, as the amount of scratches my sreen protector has picked up since sliding the TD2 into the case is crazy! other than that I have no issues.

Well this is a terrible statement, are the scratches deep? If this is the case it will mess the screen protector, not a good thing! I thought the inside was soft.
Scratches
I have a screen protector and woudl advise you to use one, I would say without it there is a good chance even with the soft inner.
One other thing, i found i was putting my handset in the wrong way so everytime i could feel the handset rubbing, turning thing 180 solved this a nice smooth entry and exit.

I also bought 2 pieces from this Hong Kong dude from eBay. Great quality, great look. Shipping Hong Kong - Poland in 4 (FOUR!) days. I was very happy to get exactly the same pouch like for my Diamond1. This seller can be trusted.
so cool
at China Just 20 RMB
I really want this case. Seems for some reason it is very rare and hard to find.
I ordered one a month ago from MyTrendyPhone.com and it has still not arrived. They sent me affidavit to sign that I just sent back. I have a feeling all I am going to get is a refund.
Anyone know where I can get this case in black?
Thanks,
Chad
First I got an email saying they would be shipping me a new one.
Then overnight I got an email saying they are sold out and offering me 20% off my next order under $40. Offered me a refund as well.
Why is this case in such sort supply? I don't have one yet, but it looks to be the best case out there. It replaces the back cover which adds less bulk, and has wireless charging built in.
I have not been able to get my hands on one either.
Finally got my refund from MyTrendyPhone.com, and have now placed an order with Expansys.com. They have it available. Also got the Quick Circle Wireless Charging case ,to see which one I like better.

Looks like they only have it in white?
Bought mine from Amazon.de Germany. Use chrome browser and it will translate. Choose other sellers and pick Amazon. Got it in about a week and a half for just under $40 including shipping.
MyTrendyPhone is a garbage company. Ordered from them too but never again. The Slim Guard case is absolutely the best case for the G3. I bought mine from Expansys and received it within a week. It is every bit worth the $45 or so that I paid and yes; it is very hard to find. Your best bet is maybe a secondhand off of eBay.
Does anyone know of anyone selling the black case unused?

I just bought two (one for me and the other for my wife) from amazon.de but unfortunately the seller didn't ship to the USA so I had it sent to my cousins apartment in Germany and she forwarded me the package which I received today.
Some pictures to share...
just purchased from Amazon.fr. 42USD.
the only seller on the German Amazon that would ship to me would charge an exorbitant shipping fee.
I have got the uk version but getting shot of it as not for me. Prefer my supacase.
In the past month, I have tried twice to buy a "new" Logitech Note Pro 12.2 folio keyboard. The first, from Ebay, arrived and I touched its keys and immediately heard a weird crunching noise. The keys would not really even depress. It was obvious to me the keyboard was a retread... packaged to look new but horribly faux repaired. I sent it back for a refund. So then I went to Amazon, and bought one from Amazon. Unbelievably, it too was obviously a badly repaired and repackaged broken keyboard -- the right shift key was actually coming off, and underneath it a bunch of glue and white plastic preventing the key from even depressing. I just contacted Amazon and am returning it immediately. I really want one of these... they are on sale all over the place for around 46 bucks (give or take). But I'm very wary at this stage of buying any of 'em. Sigh....
Update: Just bought a kinda raggy taggy one for 35 bucks from a guy who'd actually used it. It has some wear, but at least the keys will work. Anyway, just a heads-up for others looking.
That was a good price as BestBuy is asking $93.99 now.
Did you buy them from Logitech, or a random seller?
In my experience you should always buy these things in a sealed box from an official reseller store. And if they're 50% cheaper than the retail store, that's never without a reason....

I do tend to live on the ragged edge. A missionary's budget doesn't allow for a lot of squeaky-clean geekdom. The two keyboards purchased were from resellers, but large ones -- one actually sponsored directly by Amazon.
This last purchase, counter-intuitively perhaps, I have made intentionally from someone who is selling their keyboard they personally used. At least that way I know it works. Cheapest they are new is near 100 bucks, even now. Will let everyone know if the keyboard works for me. Heh.
Just be careful out there buyin'.
Blessings.

Keyboard came, works fine.
My first keyboard years ago had a hidden flaw that took a year for me to notice. The sync button was broken. I bought a used one for $33 and it works fine.
got a new one directly from Logitech and it had a broken Bluetooth button. They sent me a new one and I opened the faulty one to see if i could fix it. I have to say I wasn't impressed with the flimsy nature of the button & switch.
Uh oh. I just ordered an ebay one. I'll keep my fingers crossed until it arrives.
Edit: I got mine and it seems fine. It was sold by seller: winnerauctions for $41.99 and he's got more than 10 left to sell for anyone interested. Mine didn't come with an instruction manual or the original cable, just a generic cable and the keyboard wrapped in bubble wrap. But it works and seems not to have the issues others have mentioned above.
Just picked up one on ebay for $30 shipped. Hopefully no issues I can't work around. Did notice there are A LOT of them up on ebay for $40 or less listed as refurbs. Can only assume Logitech does have issues with these.
