Im running the WM6.1 ROM update from Hellonasty and this is all i get the screen changes from the 3 colours to the grey 0% screen then the software gives me the 262 error
Reboot the phone and everything is fine just my old stock ROM

I have exactly the same problem...was installing the Mary v0.5...installed to 41% then kept getting stuck....then I think I did something really weird...I ran MTTY and for some reason I can't get back to the tricolor and instead get the boot image for the rom...and now I cant do anything...somebody PLEASE help!

In bootloader I don't see this menu you mentionned on the link but only the three colors (red, green and blue)...
What am I doing wrong ?

Try formating the miniSD card in FAT32, if it doesn't work try in FAT16.
It works for the FAT32.
It say upgrade completed but when I reset it still stay blocked on the white htc screen...
Any other advices ?

Bootloader command "task 28" formats NAND flash (Storage). I don't know if the bad blocks you have are in NAND or not, but you may give it a try... output should be something like this:

I have sim and cid unlock my phone with simunlock3.0 by pof. but I randomly meet a whitescreen. so I go the local shop in japan for repair. They said i had change my phone ROM，so lost warrant. I restore the original rom with the shipped rom file by softbank. BUT SITUATION is MORE BAD now. all the front key is out of work. I check my phone by mtty , use command as: task 32 , info 8 , task 2a... the message show that, there 4 bad blocks. and those command fix 3 of them. still , bad block 322 (0x142) can not be fixed? My question is how to fixed it ? btw. now still whitescreen, out of front function key.

yes , you are right. I has noticed this poste . but , when download it and install , I fail to do upgrade the SPL. I guess , due to position of bad block, it is in first (the bootload )partition. I am look forward for more help. Thank you for help and idea.

You can't fix something that's actually broken.

spl-1.04 which allowed me to flash original roms but hung at 14%, i guess this is when the rom installs the radio part of the rom which mine was corrupt when trying in the first instance to update radio rom 1.54.30.10 which got me in this mess.
So its looking like service center i guess?
Were you flashing it at the time it stopped working? What is the history?
history i had a crc10.2 version rom, flashed supercid, flashed hardsplv7, then flashed original dopod shipped 3 rom 3.54.707.4 radio 1.47.30.10 worked great. Then flashed upgraded radio 1.54.30.10 and then bricked. Downgraded spl to 1.01mfg using mtty and then it corrupted my cid and imei. so now i left with a corrupted imei,cid and radio.
Did you use the "task 2a" command to fix bad blocks?

task 2a command only works with mfg bootlooder eg spl-1.01 MFG, i cant go back to mfg 1.01 because your cid needs to be supercid. so my is answer no regrettably. iam thinking with spl-1.09 i could flash the factory rom via sd card? but where do you get factory roms from not upgrades considering my cid is locked.
There were a heap of roms on the wiki (dont know if they're still available) both cooked and stock roms. Who you with? Might be an idea to let people know as they might be able to supply links... Just a thought...Cheers
i am currently with 3, but i bought the phone used not sure who it was prior.
only a thought but are using a usb hub,if so stop and connect directly,dont know if my problems were exactly the same but 4 days of frantic flashing and stomach ulceration were instantly relieved by doing the above,good luck,btw the 3 rom from dopodasia is still available online and used with a mod wrapper would allow a card intall
i have tried hut..3 roms via flashing usb and by sd get error via sd not allowed. i guess the roms online are upgrades where i need the factory wm5 rom.
wm5 rom is a good idea and there are plenty stock wm5/6 roms floating around,but use the modded wrapper to install via usb,no hub,many people swear by at&t roms to get them out of trouble
thanks Stevie boy for your ideas and comments, still having problems i have tried all the dopod roms on xda developers using the custom RUU wrapper so i can select my spl which is spl-1.09 and i get invalid vendor id. if i had SPL-1.04 it has a bug where i leave the phone connected to USB and run the wrapper twice and it updates but this is not working now on spl1.09 bummer.
i feel your pain man,all i can say is that the wiki saved me,there is so much info there its a bit hard to see your way thru but you should be able to work it out.i assume you can still force bootloader is so it seems all is not lost try pm to mr vanx to get more specific advice

I tried almost everything, like cid unlocker, flash radio, flash back to original rom, flash from sdcard...etc..
Now trying to get the window platform builder.
You need to downgrade your SPL to 1.10 for those commands to work. If you haven't, nothing will work...

A week ago un update went bad (stopped in the middle). My device was (not sure if after so many test it still is) cid unlocked and with hardspl (tried so many roms in one year).
Now my niki100 hangs at smart mobility screen. Tried to flash roms both from RUU (original roms stops with invalid vender id), others (including the ITA original one) stops with 262 error.
Also tried to flash from the SD card but cell hangs in "Loading..." screen.

Okay, are you sure you disabled active-sync maybe that causes the trubble.
About flashing, I flash my Niki 6 times a day (learn to cook) so I don't think that is the problem.
I had almost the same issue with an Elfin and I flashed it over and over again and after 9 or 10 times the phone accepted the rom and flashed it complety.
Not sure it was the right procedure to do (or just luck) but it worked.
