A couple questions:
Change Sprint Mogul to work on Cricket network
1. If I use the DCD v.3.2.2 rom, and use the Cricket carrier cab Is that all I need to go to Cricket and have this Mogul on their network? Will everything work like GPS, MMS, Internet?
2. If I use the Sprint ROM and use the Cricket carrier cab will this work with everything asked above?
I see people advertise on eBay to flash peoples phones to work on the Cricket network. I am not sure what is actually being done when they flash.

The phone would still have to be programmed (NAM setup) in order to work with cricket. Also, the Cricket PRL would have to be installed and the ESN would have to be activated on the cricket network. All the cab does is configures Internet for you. GPS will work assuming you have a data plan.

Is this something I can do? Can I find information in the forums somewhere that can teach me to do this? BTW is this a firmware flash? SO if I play around with different versions of the OS and load different ones will I have to get that setup again for cricket network?

Has anyone flashed one of these bad boys to Cricket? I own a Vibrant and got a bad ESN Fascinate for my GF to flash to Cricket lol. Just want to hear any success stories if anyone has already done so

I have managed to fully flash the Fascinate to Cricket. It is on the Zio's $55 plan and gets full data, no proxies. At first I called and asked for the $55 plan but it didn't work because there are multiple $55 plans. I had to call and lie, saying that my phone was the Kyocera Sanyo Zio and that my data didn't work. They then had me give them the ESN and changed my phone to the Zio and my plan to the Zio's plan.
Everything that works: talk, text, receiving MMS, and web.
The only thing that doesn't work is sending MMS. I will probably figure out how to fix this, though.
If anyone is interested in fully flashing a Fascinate to cricket I can post a tutorial... Just reply or PM me if you are. Not gonna bother if no one is interested.

I just bought a Fascinate from Verizon. It is not active at all, I wan to flash it to Metro PCS.
Can you please give me step by step instructions. I've never done anything like this so please be patient.

What did you dial to get it into DIAG mode?
Didn't dial anything. Settings -> Wireless and Networking -> Enable Dial Up

Has anyone else flashed the phone to Metro pcs.
I need an updated prl. The one I have now 0201 and its not working. I already tired updating it with *228 it updated to 0204 with no success.

I got an update prl to 3010 but still metro says my esn is invalid. but this is a brand new phone that I purchased so I am getting aggravated with this damn thing if anyine has any Idea Im listening. I live in Jax, FL so far most of the "metropcs" agents say they cant help.

To get the ESN added to the MetroPCS system you need to find someone online that can do it. I think the going rate right now is $50 bux and includes a free month of service. Just check the Buy/Sell section of Mobile-Files.us or Howardforums.

I am interested in the tutorial. I just got a Verizon Fascinate off the internets cheap, bad ESN, bad battery.
I'll read on to see if you've already posted. Interested in flashing, rooting, tethering and anything else that I'm not supposed to do. 8^)

Hi. I just got my vibrant yesterday and I got a couple question for it before I will root and unlock it. After I unlock it and put in my att sim card will I get charge or be force onto a data plan or can I used it normally without a data plan? B. Should I block incoming data and then use it. Finally C. What is this $10 dollar data plan that I read about on other thread. thank you for your answer.
I'd really like to know the answer to this as well. I've been alternating between an N1 and Vibrant on AT&T using my grandfathered 5GB dataplan. Can they recognize the IMEI?
I use the Samsung Vibrant on AT&T with a grandfathered iPhone unlimited data plan. AT&T hasn't noticed.
However, AT&T will automatically add a data plan to an iPhone if you try to use it on their network without a data plan.
so i guess ill update and try to answer your question incon. I just jump and root,unlock,and put axura 2.2.6 (very nice btw) and im using the phone well so far w/o any sms about data plan. I turn off data roaming and just used wifi since im on school t1 internet anyway. As far as them recognizing the IMEI, I'm still unclear but i've been checking my att account often and it still said that im running on w580i SE. Hope it helps any1 that looking to used this great phone on att unlocked. BTW I freaking love my vibrant. It ridiculously awesome!!!!.

I have tried to put a 3g data only sim & and a 4g LTE data only sim into the phone, both would find AT&T but I would get no data. I contacted Customer Care and after much trial and error they said it was not possible.
What is important to me is the size and features.
What is not important to me is 4g, but it would be nice to have the speed if it was possible.
Any help or definitive answer would be appreciated.
What are your settings? Maybe look in that direction.

I think I have tried them all, at least the obvious ATT APNs.

As for APNs:
The phone comes with the ATT PTA setting. I tried the Broadband APN & the WAP Cingular. With and without the username and password.
I was on the phone with ATT customer care and their data only support. All o the steps we went through led me to conclude that the ATT device is locked in somehow to force you into using a phone & data service/plan. The ATT data plan support stated this verbatim.
That is why I am wondering if anyone found a way around this.

What is your APN setting for AT&T?
ive been using the verizon model on net10 and was having trouble activating the hotspot because the phone would recognize the sim card as not being from verizon, i came across a thread for the lg g4 verizon model and tried it on the v10 and it worked. im guessing you have to be rooted for this to work. heres the link to the original guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-g4/general/how-to-enable-native-hotspot-unlimited-t3166435

I have a customer who successfully used FoxFi on MM, non-rooted.
Sent from my LG-H918 using Tapatalk
for 30 bucks a month unlimited data, I just pay. Turn it on with a phone call and off thru My Vzw, when I need it. Its prorated. I mostly use it traveling with the family so they can use my unlimited data. A buck a day for unlimited data isnt too much to ask I dont think! Specially since root is not looking good.
Hotspots should be freee......... i also used foxfi on non root to enable hotspot on some phones.
