when you set the answer mode to 'any key to answer', so it doesn't answer automatically when you open the phone, the left external key doesn't silent the ringtone anymore when you receive a call but answers it instead, even with the phone closed. so is there a way to close the phone during a call and not lose it? say if you want to use the speakerphone with the phone closed?
thanks

I don't think this does what you want though. Doesn't it stop when you press ignore? I can't think of it right now. Maybe you just want any button to do this, but then you couldn't answer. Maybe explain this one more.
I think hes talking about the same issue im having with my phone. Actually I have two different issues that are somewhat related...First, i think he's talking about the text message ringer. For example...if i set a ringtone to my text messages(songs that is) and i recieve a text message, there is now way to shut the ringer off...it just keeps playing and playing and vibrating and vibrating....the only thing that will make it stop is a power down or soft reset.....whats even weirder is if i recieve a text message while the first message is ringing it plays the ringtone a second time in the background...so not only can i not stop the first one but there a second one that i cant stop either...PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!....now for the second issue....i downloaded mring for my phone and it allows me to stop the problematic ringer from before by pressin any button on my phone (GREAT!!!!!!!!) no, not great...when i set my text messages to ring and vibrate it rings, but no vibration occurs...and if i have it on vibrate only...it doesnt vibrate either....at first i thought it was problem with my phone, but the vibration on telephone calls works fine...it's only text messages...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS!!!!!! if anyone can fix the problem im having with mring that would be great cuz i want to continue using that program seeing as how i purchased the product and now that im having that problem its basically useless...
when i'm in keylock
not all the key (especially vol + -) aren't locked
does someone has the same issue ?
You must be using the default HTC Volume bar.
Fire up your favorite registry editor.
Navigate to HKCU\Software\HTC\BootLauncher\Services.
Delete the key HTC Volume.
Reboot.
Got another problem.
If device is locked and in "sleep" mode, and someone call me, device is still locked during the call. It's really anoying, if I need to activace HF, i must unlock device and pres up button.
Is there any way to auto-unlock phone with answering a call ?
I don't think there's a way to. Anyway if the phone is unlocked during the call, you have to manually lock it after the call.
To activate speakerphone mode, you can hold the send/talk button in a call.
No problem with locking the phone after the call.
For example. Incoming call in car - need to: Answer call -> Unlock Device -> Activate Speaker.
Got NK3110c too, and there is an option "answer via speakerphone mode" -> Nothing like this Rose ? I found some appz, but all of that was for touchable devices.

Answer the call, then hold the send button to switch to speakerphone mode..
If you wanna do more things, like putting the current call on hold or look up a contact then you have to unlock the phone.

Holding send button have no effect. Maybe some settings needed ?
It works for me. Even the user manual says so.
And no i did not perform any configuration.
cooool
it works
but now i'd like when the keyboard is locked that the shutdown conversation doesn't works either.
When I'm receiving calls the phone is in a bag and I lose conversation because when I walk ... my leg closes the conversation
Thanks for help !
Hello, I have a question here,
Got marshmallow running on my HTC One m8.
There is no silent mode anymore as in no sound and no vibration. What's there now is the do not disturb feature which basically does the same. But Accidentally I had it set to accept calls only from contacts.
What I can not find out now is, does this actually and actively block and deny any calls of unknown numbers without logging them or showing in any way that this person tried to call me, or does it just not show full screen call notification when I receive a call of unknown numbers?
Hope someone can shed a light on this.

Hi! Google replaced Do Not Disturb feature with Silent in Lollipop 5.0 and it was reported that they will bring Silent back at a later stage. Anyways, the Do Not Disturb feature in Android phones does not decline calls automatically like iPhone's Do Not Disturb, it only silents your phone and if you have selected 'Contacts Only' then it will only ring if someone from your contacts call you otherwise it will remain silent and notify you of the call or text (or whatever) and your screen will turn on while a call is being received.
HIT THANKS IF I HELPED YOU!
Okay thanks! Was worried I'll miss calls or something.
I tried it out in the meantime, asked a friend whose number I don't have to call me. I didn't ring loud regardless whether I set accept all calls, or contacts only. It rung silently but the call came through in both cases.
On the Amazfit watches (including the Stratos), you can only Reject the call or Ignore the call.
Here is a very simple trick to change the Ignore Call action with Accept Call action.
You need TASKER (of course) installed on your smartphone:
- Create a new TASK called for instance "Accept call", Add action "Take the call" in the Category "Phone". (Sorry, my Tasker is in French and actions could be different in English)
- Create a new PROFILE, category "State", select Variable, Variable value, %SILENT ~ on
- Backward. A menu appears to select a Task. Select the task "Accept call" you have previously created
- Long press on the Variable value "%SILENT", a menu appears with Add (+), click on it
- Select "State", click on "Phone", (verify that it's Incoming type)
- Backward to Profiles
You need to set the sound of the smartphone to vibrations or ring but not to silent for both call and messages. The drawback is, if you select the silent mode by error, that the smartphone will automatically accept the call immediately.
If you want (like me) that your smartphone doesn't vibrate when a call or a message occur, you can set the vibrations to the minimum and create a vibration patern with Nothing (it's possible with my Samsung Galaxy)
Et voilĂ !!
I'm surprised that nobody is interestes by this post !
It's so usefull to accept the incoming calls just by pressing a button or the screen on the watch.
This trick is valid with all smartwatches proposing reject or ignore call.

For me even if accept incoming call from the watch I must take off the phone from the pocket to talk. So if I take off the phone I can accept call from the phone. If I answer the phone from a BT device I accept call from the BT device, so no need to accept from the watch. Different for an Huawei 2 watch or a Samsung S3 where I can accept the incoming call from the watch AND Answer to the call from the watch.

Ok. But if your phone is in your jacket or a bag or placed somewhere in your house/car, and if you have a flip cover and finally if your network provider limits the ring time before going to voicemail, you will be happy to accept the call from your watch then get few seconds more to get your phone and speak directly without doing any additional button press/swipe on the phone screen.
The possibility to answer to the call from the watch (from the internal mic and loud speaker) seems to me useless except if your name is James, James Bond
Hi guys,
I've got an Xperia XZ1 Compact running Android 9.
My question is, how can I allow select contacts to activate ringer even on silent or vibrate mode?
Seems there is no way to do this. I never use Do Not Disturb mode when I sleep, I just put my phone on 'very silent' (no ringer or vibration). However I would like to be able to receive calls from my family, gran etc if there is an emergency at 2am. How can I do this?
Seems there was a method but it no longer works...
