I'm annoyed in waiting for the promised Niki Lite Project v1 and so I played for myself with the Niki Kitchen from jerpelea (really great app)!
I build a clean and fast ROM based on OS 5.2.20275 Build 20275 in a pure black style! Hope you like it and give some feedback!

Update, 17.09.2008:
I've added as an attachment the solution for the german version with the non-working hardware keyboard! If you want to re-enable the hadware keyboard as an input method, install this little CAB and the problem is gone!
Don't forget to do a softreset after installing the CAB if your device doesn't softreset automatically!

This ROM has about 5 MB less free RAM as the ROM without TouchFLO!
Please note:
Radio 1.65.14.06 and above aren't working with this ROM, because I haven't added the neccessary OEM-Apps/Drivers for these Radios! I suggest you use Radio 1.58.21.23 from Sedna or 1.64.08.21 from Kaiser (like me)!

No but I want to add this in the next vesion! I found some bugs (I think) and so I have to bugfix this ROM a little bit!
Bug: When I install a XT9 languagepack (German, Dutch from the XT9 multilanguagepack on this forum) and choose a different language, it stays on "XT9 English" in stead of the selected language.
Also, in the Language dialog it shows XT9 languages that aren't really available (Italian, French, Italian, Spanish)
That's one of the bugs I found and trying to fix!

Still, the unavailable languages show up in the XT9 Language list. But I think that the XT9 cab ass well as the ROM itself add these languages by default to the following key:

You are right. The languagepacks always need to be installed on the device.

The packs assume that when they are installed there is a WWE rom on the phone, and as far as I know the WWE roms always have those 5 languages installed. For cooked roms it's different of course.
Therefore the registry key is updated by the cab with those values, otherwise other available languages aren't available anymore after installing one of the cabs.
Well, Im using it for 1 full day now and havent found bugs, only software needed for some applications, but I can get it myself, of course. Thanks again...
One strange thing, I didnt installed all of the software I usually use and it already has the same 74bm of free RAM that I have AFTER all is installed...
If it doesnt have a lot of things, shouldnt it have much more free RAM than Mary or BlackDragon ROM's?

I build it mainly for my personal use and I don't use the video calling feature! If you want to use it, search for a cab!
I'll build a video call enabled version later!
It was an endless wait for Niki Lite V1. No idea when he will release that. Thanks animie for coming with this version. Wondering, will you be able to add the SRS WOW sound feature like him. That would make this rom the best choice for all.. So far Good Work...
He already explained this some times now...
This will be a clean rom, all the other extra things you want on it, will have to be installed thru cab files.
My phone was bricked up (I don't know why , it just didn't boot after soft reset)

Because of the inactivity of the file, it was automatically deleted from SendSpace... anyway, I did try to integrate some of the applications of the touch to WM5, but many of them don't work out-of-box. There are some fixes to that (which I intend to put on a ROM I'm cooking), for the home plugin for example.
I'm working on the last AKU 3.3 from T-Mobile official ROM, so it will be clean, touch driver enabled (just the scrolling with fingers). The cube and home plugin are kinda useless to me...
erm, i didn/t see that post earlier, tell me, how can i cook wm5 custom rom?
i made very customised, optimised wm06(23 mb of custom apps, 34 mb mem free etc..), now - i am thinking about wm05 treated same way..i am wondering about possibilities of making same thing with wm05...
what can i use to cook? molski's method only?

The only Touch Soft that is in there is the home plugin, commanager and the dialpad. You can remove them (I made the instalation via Extended Rom ) if you like.
The touch driver (the new driver for the touchpanel so that you can scroll with fingers, instead of using stylus), is embeded with the OS
I have to remove PCM Keyboard from the ROM cause it's time limited. Although we can remove it and update it, tene the keyboard dev has requested to remove it from the ROM. As requested, I'll remove it, then if you wish, you can install it in your device.

1- The touch driver is working
2- OS 5.1.195 build 14955.2.3.0 -> it's based on AKU 2.3 Wizard's Love ROM, I intend to upgrade this ROM to AKU 3.3, which comes with a lot of new features and fixes.
3- Yes, its without the carrier logo, only the name.
4- Yes and no. For some reason, it only works until you softreset your phone... my guess is this issue will not be present on updated AKU.
5- Pagepool is 6MB, but on later version I'll make it 12MB so that the ROM flys!

First results
First of all: Beautiful welcomescreen…haven´t you a second kind for gay men and for women with a pretty man?
1. Systemwerkzeuge – Advanced Configuration (in german: Erweiterte Konfiguration) – no function…signification error
2. WLan – shows function, but i can´t go into settings or give in a key… when i type, for a short time a light blue window opens and closes immediately…no function.
3. Bluetooth – no function… after a softreset it works. But leaving the comm manger it went out and won´t work again.
4. tried to exceed the Communication Manger… have to do a softreset, because i couldn´t go out. After this i can leave it.
5. The sounds, if i type on programs or settings, are away, after leaving the comm manager settings
6. After changing sounds & notifications the prophet freezes..soft reset
7. during this reset the splash screen freezes… i have to do a hard reset.
8. after this hardreset the same results with comm manager
9. operator and voip settings – no function
10. after typing on Einstellungen (settings) – Verbindungen (Connections) it freezes again… soft reset. There are only a few settings in this category… in folder office mobile is only adobe acrobat!!!
11. After leaving the phone (i made a call) i couldn´t go back to it again. When i press the call-button, nothing happens. And over Settings-Phone also no function.
12. There are too many mistakes and it would be a very hard work, in order to integrate the missing components and eliminate the errors.
I would prefer to get the english rom…i´m so in use, since i flashed the wonderful Prophet VII, that i don´t must have a german translation.
Now i will flash back prophet VII...because i have to use my phone today.

HI and thanks for reporting back... now I know more about what to work on and because I dont' understand german I can have it to long on my phone at a time, because in my work I need the phone .... this is not VIII version although I used the designe in this rom too.... Prophet Touch VIII will be in english and maybe translated into german later.. and should be released in about a week or so.
This is Prophet thouch German I.
I will work more on it and make the things that don't work now work in my next beta.

Gullum, you're one day too fast for me!
If I had DSL and not ISDN, I would be able to upload my testing ROM with german by Friday! But my ROM basing on Transformer 1.1 (OS 5.2.1413 Build 17944.0.3.1) combined with a Trinity and Hermes ROM! But it's a little bit the same like your ROM: a few things aren't still okay but if users here at XDA Developers want it, I will continue my work and relieve you how much I can!

I think that you should be more capeble then me to make a german rom I just liked the idea of doing it because a german rom has been requested several times.
so I will work on getting the everything working in this rom and maybe if people want it I'll upload a finished version.
But please do continue to work on you rom too.

Known problems sms is not working I'm looking for a solution for this
- no name of "network wizard icon" <-- It's called ConnectionSetup in kaiser
- no adjust backlight in setting menu <-- missing link
- no power management in setting menu <-- missing link
- phonepad not working <-- reason it's not in these roms just in the regsettings
but hopefully I can make a simple workaround for this

- PhonePad still dosn't work.. Actually i haven't tried any of your roms yet where it has worked, but its not a big deal for me as i can just install a cab file with it..
- Both Touch Keyboard and Touch Keypad gives me the same .. Whats the diffence ?
- Network Wizard in settings dosn't have any name.. Its just blank, but this isn't any problem for me as i only have to run this once..

Active synch not working - german
Hi Gullum,
Seems to be something is wrong. Cannot find the reset icon in system/settings.
After traditionally hardreset the active synch is not working same as the colleague above is mentioning already.

So is there any chance that the fix coming today or tomorrow ? I done setup everything and software with this new rom ... >< Hopefully it's a very small problem ... ANyway, the conncetion option in setting have duplicated option, beam and comm manager ... And if not mistaken there shud be a SMS option to set the message center but in the v7a doesn't have ... May be that's the root of the problem ?

SMS Center has always been in Telephony->Phone(Call) Settings, not in Connections

I love the way this ROM looks and the fact it uses very little memory (~20Mb). Too bad I have a NIKI100 and not a NEON.

The only problem I have run into so far, is that the Opera browser is in Russian. The pages display in English, but all of the menu text is Russian. Is there a way to fix that?

No it is (Opera) stuck in Russian for me as well, Also when I go look at my battery, reception etc it also has Russian text on top.
Also AudioManger / WMP stop playing music when I turn off the screen to save battery.
Other then that it is probably the best neon rom out there at the moment.

Other bugs
I have run into a problem that has me a little perplexed. The Rom will run great for a little while, and then for some reason, none of my apps are available, even the ones cooked into the Rom. I don't know yet what is causing it but after the programs dissapear and I try to soft reset, it does a hard reset and I have to start all over again. Does any one have any idea how to fix this?
I don't know what I did, but I flashed another ROM for a couple of days and then flashed back to this one. I have not had any problems since. I must have messed something up in the first flash and some how fixed it when I flashed back and forth. I have now been using this ROM for the passed three days and am very happy with it. I can't wait untill the next one comes out without all of the Russian (not that I have anything against Russion, but I can't read it, lol).

Not to be pushy, but can we expect to see an update of this ROM? I love using it, but the Russian in some of the apps is sometimes a little frustrating.
Wow, I have been away for a while. Nice to see someone else cooking for NEON.
I have WM6.5 build 21500 running on my NEON200 at the moment - it runs really well, far more finger friendly.
Unfortunately I have never been able to fix the camera button or hardware keyboard issues that I had in my old NEON200 ROM. The best I had with the hw keyboard was I got it working, but could not get the on screen keyboard to display (it was invisible). The camera button I can live without.
I haven't installed this ROM, but can someone advise me whether the keyboard and camera button issues are sorted out with it? If so, perhaps I can get in touch with jony_aa and fix my problems.

The camera button works and so does the keyboard.
It is a pretty solid rom.
All the problems the camera button and the keyboard connected to the fact that you are using the XIP from NIKI, and I ported XIP from the official ROM for Neon200.

i am flashing my neon 200 Telstra you russian version Neon200_jony_aa_V1.rar, and after I have the camera when you press the black screen, and the camera does not work at all, and when re-programmed back firmware RUU_NEON_Telstra_WWE_1.06.841.17_2_.exe, then in the end the camera works without problems.
I guess the camera driver DIFFER FROM NIKE, And Maybe I was wrong Do not tell where or what, I was just wondering.
Do not tell what to do? I just searched through the entire internet in search of the Russian version of Windows on this phone, and only found here, and unfortunately not fully working.

But I, repairman, and therefore repeated again:
I was very sorry later reprogrammed the phone again, and lo and behold - the camera work, the first time probably did not happen, so now I think my hands are curves.
