Hello all
I was wondering if if different keyboard-layouts will be a problem when flashing different ROM's to the Raphael? Or is there a way to map to the correct keyboard in each case?
Regards
Fred.

Hi
I am trying to change the layout of my virtual keyboard. Sadly, I was not clever enought to backup my rare original keyboard layout.
It would be great if some of you (having a german ROM or, better, the Swiss French keyboard layout) could upload me the msim.dll and the msim.96.dll located in \Windows\ directoy.
Thank you in advance; I realy do not want to flash to a german ROM just to get those files :s

Hello all.
I have a problem with my x01ht and wondering if anyone here has the same experience for sharing. I flash my x01ht with an English rom, then I fix the keyboard symbol mapping by changing the regkey from 20409 to 20411 (as posted in this forum), then I install ce-star by I won't be able to type in Chinese using the hardware keyboard using pinyin. But if I change back to 20409, then everything is working fine.
Does anyone have a similar experiences for sharing? If so, any solution to it?
Thanks so much.
I have the same issue. The hardware keybord is not functioning after changing the keyboard layout. Whats more is when I try to install other IME system, such as Japanese or Traditional Chinese, it is not functioning properly.
I just flashed the wonderful "TPC Elite v3.1 Full with manila". But I have one big problem. The physical keyboard does not work as it should. I am swedish and thus have a swedish keyboard. And now I cannot write numbers nor the last characters in our alfabeth å, ä, ö. What can I do to solve this? Do I need to install a swedish ROM in order to get the physical keyboard to work? In that case, what is the best and newest swedish ROM? I would really like to keep this ROM, but it is hard when I cannot even write numbers. Thanks in advance for your help!

Br,

Its because most rom not only the language is to be set, also it is set to qwerty instead to qwertz (Fuze Keyboard Layout)
Try this CAB it works for my german rom, it lets the FN Button to work correct.
Thank you very much for your advice and links! I have tried several methods this afternoon but with no success. The numbers I now can write, but the letters are still not mapped correctly. I will try again later, but it is a pity that it cannot be done easier.
Please don't start new thread in the ROM development issues when there is already a thread to post in.

Hello People
I am new here and searched the Forums but i didn't find any satisfying solution to my problem :-(
I'd like to use VillainRom 1.4 but the Keyboard layout is QWERTY, and as i am from germany and i am used to the QWERTZ Layout i would like to switch to QWERTZ.
It doesn't matter what Keyboard language i set, its all QWERTY...
I tried many ROMs and there are many i am interested in but the most of them have all the same problem...
Does anybody have a solution, how i can solve this problem?
Greetz
I thought if you set the language of the phone to German, it automatically sets to QWERTZ. am i right?
normally it is right what you are saying but on some custom roms it seems that there must be a bug or it is not implemented.
so i am searching for a workaround or something like that to solve my problem

Hi, same question already asked.
The regions's settings in the ROMS are CSC parts.
1/ find witch CSC is for you ( see in your official firmware csc part
2/ find the CSC.tar corresponding to you and flash it with ODIN in PDA.
If you can't find just your csc, use a multiCSC containing yours and after flashing it there is a way to switch csc using telephone app keyboard.

Hey Thank you for that info!!!
Worked like a charm!!
Finally i can use VillainROM ;-)
