For those wanting to upgrade to separate ROMs (or cook custom ROMs) I have uploaded the following RUU packages:
OS 1.90.707.1 (HTC)
OS 1.90.502.2 (Cingular)
OS 1.90.405.1 (HTC)
OS 1.66.405.1 (HTC)
Note: You need to have HardSPL before attempting to flash these!
Remember that flashing anything on your phone is always at your own risk.

Come on dude, the links and info are already in the wiki
EDIT: also there are threads already open about each one of these ROMs.

According to the Wiki, the latest shipped WWE unbranded rom is 1.18.255.106, and my phone has the .108, so I just uploaded the upgrade package for that ROM (which I got from the support site (one of two here in Finland)) to the upload section of the ftp, in case someone wants it.
This version is for the "Finland and the Baltics" area, and the phone itself has the Scandinavian keyboard layout.
- Pud.0
Thanks for the shipped rom, it is exactly the same ROM version 1.18.255.3 and the same radio version 1.03.03.10, the only change is on the shipped Extended ROM version from 1.18.255.106 to 1.18.255.108.

All roms are 'branded', also the HTC TyTN rom is branded by HTC.
Acording to the info *now* on the wiki (it will change on the future), the newest ROM is Cingular 1.34.502.1, which is dated 2006-09-21. This ROM has radio version 1.16.00.00, but the i-mate ROM dated 2006-09-08 has a newer radio version 1.20.31.10 which has been extracted so you can flash it separately if you want it on your device. The latest AKU build for the Hermes is on Cingular's ROM 1.31.502.1 which shows OS Build 14989.2.6.0, this means this is an AKU 2.6 while all the other available ROMs have AKU 2.3.
To remove the operator branding and have an 'unbranded' rom you just need to softreset before the ExtROM is installed after the device is hard-reseted.
You can install Cingular's 1.34 or 1.31 ROM (depending if you prefere AKU 2.3 or AKU 2.6) with I-mate 1.20 radio and HTC 1.18.255.106 ExtROM which will add HTC's tytn branding to your phone. This should be "the latest" rom now.

I successfully downgraded, CID unlocked and then upgraded to swap from Swedish to English, this worked like a CHARM!!
BUT!! The keyboard hacks does NOT seem to work,, heeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!!
@Pof's quote below
"To remove the operator branding and have an 'unbranded' rom you just need to softreset before the ExtROM is installed after the device is hard-reseted."
is this mean -
that i need to do first is perform the Soft reset after i have completed or successful flash a ROM from the WIKI shiped ROM list,
then make the unhide ExtRom, then remove the ExtRom operator brand, from the Extended Rom folder, then install the "unbranded" ExtRom (execute the unbrand CAB file), then the last step is do the Hard reset.
please advice.

For me there was a great question mark about the steps to take, so I'll explain them here for :
1. Dump your ROM (if you want to)
2. Install HardSPL 1.15 MFG
3. CID & Security Unlock
4. Flash a new ROM
5. Voila!
6. Reconstruct your original ROM into a flashable .nbh file for backup en now go & enjoy this forum 'n' stuff!!

Hello guys, first of all: great forum with a lot of info..
I'm a recent owner of the HTC Touch Dual (Dutch Vodafone branded)
I've read a lot of threads before posting, but some questions are raised: I'ts about flashing my Nike to the original HTC Dutch ROM:
After reading all threads about this issue I should follow this order:
1. install HardSPL 1.15 MFG, described in the "Nike SSPL, USPL and HardSPL" thread.
2. Dump my original ROM (or should this be step 1, cause it's deleted by flashing HardSPL?)
3. Unlock my device, described in the "Nike SuperCID" - thread, with installing the original radio-version --> 1.58.21.23S as suggested
4. Flash to the original HTC-ROM (dutch) which i've allready downloaded
5. Turn the dumped Vodafone ROM to a flashable ROM and donate it at this forum
6. Ready?
As I'm studying on this for 2 weeks now, maybe someone can confirm this steps to be right, because I don't want to completely mess up my phone, or suggest some better ways...
Hope to hear from you all!
greetz..

Niki-100
Rom version: 1.31.172.16
Radio version: 1.58.21.23

for those interested...
How did you get it done
Dear wpostma,
Nice to hear that you got it done.
I am curious how you went to work.
Did you follow the steps in your first post?
I am still doubting if i should update my Touch Dual.
I have an original NLD ROM on it right now.
What is your experience? Is the phone really more responsive?
Well if I can make a backup of my own ROM then I can always go back.
Regards, KoBuster
nearly exact the steps a described in my first post, but first make a dump, it's not so hard and described in the WIKI
- the next you've to install HardSPL 1.15 mfg
- i had to unlock my phone with CID unlocker, very clear described in the CID thread
- now your phone is ready to flash any ROM
Funny thing: I wanted to flash the original HTC ROM but experienced some problems with that ROM and the ROMS provided, and the most of them being WWE instead of NL turned me to flash back my Vodafone ROM again.. but in fact the switch to another ROM is availible now and that's very pretty!
Maybe I'll flash the Lite ROM if it's available.
that's the fact...
do you have the original vodafone boot splash it isnt in your rom i need it so badley please somebody help me thnxs in advance
no I haven't my original vodafone splash screen, interested too anyways...
Hi this is my first post on this forum, I have read alot and i tried to run android on my HD2 but i found out that my radio was too low for the requirements.
My question is if I update my firmware from HTC itself... will it update my radio aswell? I don't know what rom to download from HTC as there are so many.
Here are some few details of my HD2:
OS Version: 5.2.21864
Manila Version: 2.5.19202525.0
ROM Version: 1.43.405.1 (70124) WWE
Rom date: 10/26/09
Radio Version: 2.04.50.22_2
Protocol Version: 15.26.50.07U
Flash size: 512mb
How can I run android on this phone and how can I get an official update as I have no trust in unofficial updates.
THANK YOU
its a regular hd2, or a telstra hd2. either way, none of the official updates for it contain a high enough radio for android..
where did people get the stock roms then? and whats the best way to get android on my phone by just running it on SD and how can i just patch just the radio and is it only the radio that needs to get patched?
they get stock roms from the thread in rom development called "leo official roms". but as i said, i'm pretty sure android needs a radio of 2.10.50 or so to work best, and the x.x.50 radios come from the tmous roms, so you would need to hspl to flash those radios..
your best option rather than asking here is to go read the android section. there are a few "how to"s in there will tell you all about it.

Hi, I am from India, just bought a new HTC HD2 and so far happy with it.
Haven't hacked/flashed any WM device before as never used one! Have some experience on hacking my PSP though So, thought of asking for some help from you experienced people
Well, here it goes:
Checked my device Software Information and it says:
_____________
OS version
5.2.21869 (21869.5.0.82)
Manila version
2.5.19211619.0
ROM version
1.48.720.2 (71294) WWE
ROM date
11/25/09
Radio version
2.05.51.05_2
Protocol version
15.28.50.07U
_____________
So, I assumed I have an old v1.48 ROM and checked HTC website, it says latest ROM is v1.66. Tried to download but says my device isn't supported and doesnt let me download. Checked through many threads and seen someone uploaded official ROMs on 4shared folder. Those seem to be upto v2.13 as well as v3.14.
So please let me know which is the latest version of Official ROM and which way do I update my HD2? Updating ROM will also update my Radio and Protocol and OS versions?? If possible, please link me
Also I would need some guidance on whether to install Android or try any custom ROM. Also, which is the best Custom ROM out there?? All I'd need is 1) Battery Life (Don't wanna sacrifice HTC Sense) 2) Image playback (As I'm a fashion photographer and need references for posing on location) 3) Facebook and bit of browsing and messaging.
Also, where to enter the registry tweaks?? How to open the registry editor??

3.14 is the latest, you can run android on this with no
other conditions like HSPL.
Updating to a Stock ROM will change your ROM and Radio only
updating to a custom ROM (with HSPL) will update only the ROM - most custom
ROMs dont include a Radio .nbh

with your conditions above, both Winmo (stock) and Android has its own advantages
and setbacks, but both are excellent when it comes to photography, you will
come to decide which is best for you only when you've tried both.
