After I microSD flashed my phone it said "update successful" I followed the directions on the wiki and did a soft reset. The phone returned back to the tri-color bootloader screen. Did I do something wrong or is the phone messed up beyond fixing?
I just flashed it again via microSD and it says:
Update Completed
UPDATE SUCCESS
Now if I try to soft reset it jumps back to the colored screen.
The screen says:
HERMIMG.nbh-ok
IPL-OK
BOOTLOADER-ok
SPLASH1-ok
SPLASH2-ok
EXTROM-ok
GSM-ok
OS-ok
Update Complete
UPDATE SUCCESS
THen after I did a hard reset it went back to the tri-color screen.
after flash just do soft reset. stylus in bottom of phone. Doing a hard reset seems to do BAD things...
reflash to OEM rom..
did you HardSPL? ..
Thanks guys. I did try doing a soft reset, same thing. I dont know if the previous owner did HardSPL. He was a friend of a friend and gave it to me for free. When I got it, it was stuck on the bootloader screen. I asked if he tried to flash it and he said no. My computer doesnt recognize it and my work computer same thing. Could the USB port on the phone be damaged? I flashed it with WM6 off the wiki and PDAcorner. Same thing. Loaded then after I soft reset it goes to bootloader screen.

Have you tried flashing a shipped rom with USB while on bootloader screen, plug in to PC and just run the exe file? report back? Check your serial against here for known problems.
Neither my home computer or work computer detects the phone when I plug it into a USB port. I have tried a 3 different cords and it still doesnt show up as a device.
Whats the SPL on bootloader screen. If its 2.10 olipro it has hard SPL installed...

Checked my serial number (HT652) and there's no known problems on the wiki for this model. Tried to plug it into the PC but it cant connect. Tried two different PCs and updated Activesynch. Nothing. I am beginning to think that this phone is just dead period or the previous owner dropped it and messed it up.
UPDATE:
I flashed a shipped ROM from the wiki and it did the same thing. Loaded, said it was updated and when I did a soft reset it popped back to the bootloader screen. Should I let the battery drain and try again tomorrow?
No need to let the battery drain, take the battery out for about 20 seconds and put it back in, then turn the device back on. I had this problem once and that solved it. If your device can't connect to the computer you may have to flash via storage card.
I tried flashing it a few times with a storage card. It loads then after a soft reset goes back to bootloader screen.
Just to double check, under the battery should be a sticker with some info on it.
Should be imei and voltage etc... Does it have anywhere herm***? The *'s are for a number - 100,200 or 300. If it doesn't say herm*** then you are on the wrong forum. There are so many different names for the Hermes that I thought it may be an idea to check as flashing the wrong SPL will DEFINATELY brick your device and it seems to have been Hard SPLed. The os should be flashed fine but as MrVanx says you may have some bad blocks if you are sure you have a hermes.
Cheers...

Yes it says HERM100. Also, the person that gave it to me said he might have been pushing the power button while he was putting the battery in. Would that brick it? Another thing, does the battery every run out? I left it on bootloader all night and its still on!
This isnt my exact phone but this is what my screen looks like and what it says.

I had something similiar happen a little while back. What I did was pull the battery out and leave it out for a while, maybe a few minutes. I then put the battery back in and held the two side buttons and hit the reset button to put me into bootloader mode. I then cabled it to my computer and flashed a new OS via mutty. That got my phone back and operational.
@float. Nuh, it didn't work on my brick. Prob i will have to take it back to Tmobile if they kind enough to repair the no warranty phone i bought on ebay.
Sorry to have opened a new thread, I was so desperate.
Plz delelte it.
how exactly did you try to update the radio using mtty?
I download the 1.27 shipped radio rom. P.S. It seemed to be a german version, not sure whether that caused the disaster.
Using NBHextract to get the single GSM.NB file, then in MTTY, typed
USB> task 32
USB> lnb GSM.NB
Before flashing, just had it upgraded to the HTC AKU3.3 OS rom only. The old version radio rom version before flashing was 1.18.
Maybe the order i flash is wrong. I flashed OS first then the radio rom.
just guessing
ok, you loaded the radio rom code where os.nb should go. That may have caused mega bad blocks in flash. Can you even get bootloader mode if you reset using Wiki directions to obtain Tri-color bootloader?
Yes. I have tried many ways wiki suggests. Such as removing the battery leaving it more than half an hour and plugging it to the usb cable without battery. still can't get to the tri-color bootloader mode. Basically, I just can't turn on the phone.
If you connect it to the computer, can it communicate w/the PC? If you hear the windows tones try opening up mtty and see if you can communicate.
i'm stuck in the same place
for me it happened during extrom flash
Try removing the battery for a bit (a few minutes, maybe half an hour). Then, put the battery back in but don't plug the usb cable in. After that, hold the two side buttons as if you're trying to get it to go into the bootloader. Hit the reset button a few times with your stylus and see if that gets you to the bootloader. That's what worked for me.
tried that
tried removing battery and connecting usb
nothing helps

SO i decided to upgrade the radio to 1.43 and boom here is where the problem started, No GSM on boot up. Phone doesn't boot up. I tried install 1.40 over again, still nothing. No i tried upgrade the the rom itself, i tired custel 2.5 and nothing and i tried the new Cingular rom, still same problem. the roms flash all the way. I read the wiki, and saw the mtty.exe thing but that doesn't work for me either. I am really lost and don't know what to do.

Thanks Again
Well, if your phone turnes on .. it's not a brick.. lol .. it IS fixable... When you turn the phone on does it go RIGHT to the 3 colored screen?

You need to read the unbricking thread about this, all the info you need is there.

If you are superCID I don't see how flashing a radio could have messed up your phone.. that's weird.

OK im going to repost what ive said on 4wm:
We need to check if your Radio BL is functional, firstly leave HardSPL v7 on there and connect to the bootloader via mtty (il assume you know how to do this).
Issue the following commands and tell us the results please:
1) checkimage (this shows the CRC checksums of each component...id expect the radio image to show a timeout....
2) info 2 (This will verify that your CID is intact)
3) info 8 (does a bad block check)
Once youve done this, flash SPL 1.10.oli to the device and once again connect up to mtty.
4) 'rtask a' this will enter the radio bootloader you will see "Enter Radio Bootloader" or something to that effect
from now on when you type the text does NOT appear on the mtty screen.
5) 'rversion' this should return your radio bootloader version...now unfortunatly if you see nothing...you radio BL is dead and sorry your device is royally bricked. If you get something returned back onto the screen (most probably containing the text '0108') then your radio BL is fine.

do as instructed in that text, post your results here.
I cant falsh spl 1.10 oli. it gives me the 260 error.
the 260 error is not connected via USB right? .. weird... have you tried taking your battery out for a couple minutes, then booting into BL mode? sounds weird but this worked for me when I didnt flash hardSPL firsl..
hey mrvanx's
I can't downgrade the hardspl to 1.10, anyhelp.
I cant active sync, the phone doesnt boot up.
Is there anyway to aviod having to respond on the phone.
hey,
i can get the phone to boot up into windows and then it freezes within a couple min. what should i do. Still no gsm message and no phone. thanks
Dan
OK, so let's try and get you to a working state - I've bricked mine a couple of times and it can be quite heart-stopping, eh?
The first thing I would do is re-download radio 1.43, just incase your current one is damaged somehow.
Secondly, download Black Shadow - I know it's not the ROM you ultimately want but the aim here is to get you working again and we can move forward from there.
First, boot up into BootLoader mode (hold down the OK button on the left side of the phone and the power button and then press the reset button on the bottom, just in case you didn't know
You should come to the three colour screen and it should be reading IPL-1.04 and SPL-2.10.Olipro. If it isn't, stop here and post what it does say.
If it everything is OK at this point, when you plug your phone into your computer, it should change to USB at the bottom. Just wait for the Found New Hardware prompts to clear on your PC and then flash the black rom - choose the hardspl option in the flash program.
Once that has finished and it is at the "tap screen to set up windows..." bit, put it back into bootloader mode as above and flash the radio.
This should hopefully give you a running phone again as I know this combination works OK as I am currently using it.
Fingers crossed, don't panic, and let us know what the results are
Cheers,
Smiffy.
Nothing is working, can some please help me. Is there anyt way i can restore the spl to the original one so i can send the phone back, i just got it like 2 weeks ago. thanks
Also i have a bad block thats what i think makes the phone freeze after i boot it up.
How can i get around this, thats seems to be the biggest problem.
Hey everyone, let me give you more info.
I can fully flash any rom and and radio,
phone will boot up like 1 out of 10 times and then freezes and thats it.
i have a bad block number 6. I have hard spl v7 installed before the phone got screwed up. I cant downgrader the spl to a lower one to check if radio stack is screwed up. Can someone please help me, if you need to ask me more info feel free.
Hi All,
I'm new to the PDA-world and the Hermes. I'm trying to Hard SPL my Hermes, but it fails everytime.
When I run 2.10 - Hard-SPL-V7, it kills activesync and my connection is lost and I get always the message "error 260, Update error".
I have the latest framework edition and tried it on 3 pc's (1 Vista, 2 XP)...
What am I doing wrong?
Hope somebody can help me....
Kind Regards,
Micha
1). dont connect to active sync. open active sync and untick "allow usb connections".
2). put hermes into bootloader and connect to usb.
3). run ruu_wrapper.exe
should update to hard spl....
dont forget to tick "allow usb connections" again or you wnot be able to sync..
error 260 is an open port error.
if you wish to flash new os would advise to use sd card method. its safer than using the computer. just make sure you have greater than 50% battery power. happy flashing
Thnx, will give it a try.
First I have to flash HardSPL before I can flash a new OS, don't I?
yep, sorry, should have said run the ruu_wrapper for hard spl. My bad...
im having the same problem. I also tried the way ultramag recommended but i also received the same ending. After time i try i get the Error 260 Update error. Im running SPL 2.04 and the HTC WM6 rom from the HTC website. Does any one know what the problem is?

NOOOOO, that won't work, you need the SSPL to deploy to the phone, if you're running stock HTC bootloader this won't work at all, otherwise we'd have no need for Hard-SPL
hey olipro, then how would i fix this. Im running the stock rom from the HTC website with no hacks. Im trying to load PDA Corners V9 rom. Any ideas on how to fix? thanks!
Take a peek at the guide i wrote about updating the hardspl. Theres some explanation about why we need to use SSPL and the procedures.
http://www.mrvanx.org/hermes_guide/hardspl
thats the guide i used. it still gives me the error. I even unchecked "allow connections" cause i read somewhere that that would help.
i did this two days ago on my phone, im running windows vista on my home laptop and got any number of errors and problems trying to do it via sync with the phone (even after reading the vista troubleshooter, with the drivers etc)
What i ended up using was the memory card upgrade, dump the file onto the memory card and go into bootloader with the card installed.
worked fine doing that way, maybe less risky as there is no chance of the usb cable coming out.
just make sure you have a good battery charge on the phone.

I got into this position trying to upgrade WM5 to WM6 from HTC site.
Process got to 20% and just stayed there.
I reconnected usb cable and got a vendor id error
Then I get the Error [260]: CONNECTION
I have read a lot of posts and have tried the sd method (although i am not 100% clear) and all i get is the screen with four colors, red, green blue and white.
I believe this is the bootloader? I have downloaded RUU_signed.nbh, renamed it to hermimg.nbh, installed on root of my SD card and held OK, soft reset and power button:
My display reads:
HERM100
IPL-1.04
HERM100
SPL-2.03
This is where my journey ends.
All post indicate that the device can be reflashed and have the OS reinstalled. I can't get there from here.
Can anyone please help?

How big is your SD card? Flashing only works with cards <2GB. Also, sometimes certain cards just don't work for flashing, and just swapping to a different card fixes the problem.
I assume you searched the wiki, and found the relevant pages on the Hermes (including SD Card Flashing and other things about flashing/upgrading) there?
Still Lost
My SD is 2GB and I have tried many times but i just keep getting the 4 color screen. rt now when i boot from the SD my screen goes white and displays "Loading..." and then returns to bootloader screen. When i attempt to flash the rom via PC to WM5 or WM6 i get the Error 260, i also get a vendor ID error sometimes.
How can i find the key 8525 thread that i am told has the answer to my delima? I keep picking up bits and pieces but am missing some key steps and tips.

That sounds like the SD card is formatted incorrectly. Make sure it's formatted using fat32, nothing else will work.
Still not there from here
Thanks for your help. Before I formatted the SD FAT32, nothing would happen doing the bootloader reset. OK/ON/reset button.
After format and only the hermimg.nbh file renamed as indicated, I then get what looks like the loading process but back to the bootloader screen.
Q1: This is an AT&T 8525, it was perfectly fine before failure from WM5 to WM6 (process froze at 20%), what is the RUU file that I need to put on SD??
Q2: After "Loading ..." I try the WM5 PC upgrade of ROM via USB cable, I get the load process to appear to work but it gets to 1% and the phone reboots and the PC reports error [294]: Invalid vendor ID. If I do this again I will get the Error [260]. Ive repeated the process several times.
Is this the normal course to take or should the "SD Method" (with the WM5 or WM6 RUU.. file) complete the process to a working OS?
Q3: Is my situation hopeless? ATT will take my out of warrantee 8525 and reflash for $129. Reading the threads it seems that like me this can be done by me, this is my desire.
Q4: I still am confused by some basic terms and assumed steps. I dont understand "Hard SPL" or OLI's IPLs/SPLs and when and when to use them.
The newbe guide has been off line. I will look again. Is there a single place to read about "radio PDAs and the 8525 and understand the software build and custom options?
Sy for the long post. But still want to fix if possible or I will be force to mail in for ATT repair.
Thank you all.

Oh boy, you haven't installed HardSPL? You are walking a bit of a line there mate...
HardSPL is a custom boot loader that makes bricking your phone when flashing much harder to do, and helps large amounts in the recovery process if you phone does brick.
Does the phone boot at this point? If so, do not try flashing the phone again. Go get a copy of HardSPL and install it, then try flashing from the SD.
I still wonder why people didn't read before bricking...
Anyway, you should start reading now and wiki is your friend. Your SPL is 2.03, so look at the bottom of the page (there is only one solution till now, so good luck with that):
Code:
1. Boot OS using KITL+PB
2. Do no disconnect your HERMES till the end of the step 6
3. Download SSPL on HERMES by wifi from ie explorer
4. Launch SSPL then flash Hard-SPL from your computer
5. Put your hermes in bootloader mode
6. Flash any radio in NBH format from your computer
Still researching and working this bricked 8525
Thanks for coming to my aide. I believe that I have Hard SPL'd my device. I downloaded Olipro's Hard SPL v7. extracted the RUU_ file and renamed to hermimg.nbh.
I then put it on an SD card and held the keys and reset. The device displayed a white screen and "Loading..." appeared. Afterward the 8525 returned to the stipped boat loader screen and that is where I am now.
Some of the help i receive and read on wiki threads has me confused with what to do next and how "exactly" to do it.
It does seem that I am not alone and people have fixed their phones and the process to do this is on the forum. I'm just still missing something.
Help me further if u can.
Thank you.

FYI: bad form to PM someone and post the same thing here. Keep it in the thread so others can be helped as well.

There is small chance (read my previous post) to unbrick device with SPL2.03 so better try to get this back from where you take it.
And please, change topic, because this brick isn't HardSPL fault at all.

Hi,
i flashed a rom 2 weeks ago, everything went well. yesterday i wanted to flash another os but before i could flash it, it seemed to get bricked. It stucks on the "HTC Splash" (not the WM6 Splash). I read a lot of threads and wiki threads but i don't unterstand anything! What i've to do to unbrick my phone? I tried to flash another rom but after 0% of flashing a error appears.... flashing with sd card doesn't work, too it changes to bootloader after the "Loading..." screen
i havent got hardspl or something...
please help!
UPDATE: i got the sd flashing to work... same thing but: now it stucks at the WM splash, not the t-mobile/htc one...
You need to find out what SPL you have (I'm guessing 2.03 but if you have 2.10 olipro then its got Hard SPl on it) and then do a search for "bricked SPL x.xx". You will probably find a HEAP of posts. However, some advice that seems to recover a small minority (sometimes with the "No GSM" error) -
1st thing to do is do a hard reset. Both softkeys and reset with stylus. Hold in all buttons until it asks if you want to reset to factory. Press "R" on the slideout keyboard and the "Space".
Hopefully this will fix. If it doesn't, Put it in bootloader, connect to pc (make sure "Allow USB Connection" Active Sync settings have been unticked) and run the SHIPPED STOCK ROM. This is the rom the Hermes came with originally. This MAY fix it otherwise you're in for some major reading and hair pulling.
If you should fix this then PLEASE, for the love of god, Hard SPL your Hermes before going into the wide world of flashing.....
Good Luck...
thanks i'll try it. hard reset causes kinda... nothing^^
i hope i can fix it otherwise i'll buy a touch pro
...but i think it doesn't work, because i flashed a shipped rom via sd card yesterday and the problem is still there... isn't there any way to put hard spl on my device, yet?
Try re-installing the stock rom again using sd card (if thatys how you did it last time), it could've been a bad flash. I've had those a couple of times myself. Just remember to install Hard SPL if you're successful as it makes it SOOOO much easier to recover from bad flashes.
Last thing to check would be if you have "bad blocks" using MTTY. If the boot sector has been stuffed up this may cause this problem. Do a search through the wiki, its been covered extensively...
Cheers...
okay i think my problem is solved: t-mobile replaced my device
first thing i'll do with my new device: HardSPL^^
anyhow thanks!
Upgrade successful but now stuck
I have a Three (au) Dopod 838 pro, which I upgraded from the original Windows Mobile 5 to the Three Windows Mobile 6.0 ROM. Unfortunately I didn't read up on this site first, I thought it would be straightforward since it was a ROM from the manufacturer and all, so I haven't Hard SSPL.
The upgrade reported as successful and my PC disconnected but the phone won't boot, it sticks at the Dopod screen with some numbers at the bottom. They are:
M 05 R 1.47.30.10
S 04 G 32.80.7020.20H
B 07 D 3.54
I have tried hard resetting, and returning the phone to bootloader and reflashing the same new ROM image, always with the same result.
On the bootloader, it says
HERM100
IPL-1.04
HERM100
SPL-2.03
Is there anything which can be done or is it a trip to the service centre (wherever that is)?
Just checking - Hard reset = both soft keys above the dialler closest to the lcd and reset with stylus. Hold in until it asks if you want to reset to factory. Press r on slideout keyboard then space.
This is a hard reset, not just using the stylus.
Otherwise, you have a LOT of reading material to go through with (maybe) no actual solution.
Cheers...
tried that
Thanks, but yes, I had tried that, a number of times. I think the phone will be going to a service centre today.
Dear Members,
I tried to upgrade my JasJam with "838Pro_HK_ENG_WM6_Upgrade_20070712"
Which worked with other JasJams (Many of my friends has it working).
On upgrading, it stucked on 11% saying Error [262]
I went through recovery, and it said remove the USB cable, remove the Battry, Return it, start the phone, connect the USB, and its recovered.
After that Its again stucked in 100% and the same senario is happening.
Please tell me is there any possibility to restore my phone working.
Its stuck now, and only the (Three color screen) is on the screen.
Hard reset, soft reset is not functioning, and the phone refused to show anything except the three color screen.
I searched the forum, but found no relative article, I am searching since two days your forum and I know that no other forums can help me in this as I was always getting my help from yours.

1. Format a 2Gb or less sd card FAT32. ?CFopy the .nbh file of the rom you want to it and rename to hermimg.nbh .
2. Insert into phone and reset to bootloader.
3 If you did everything right then follow the prompts...

Dear ultramag69,
Thank you for your fast reply.
I did (untick) that option in the ActiveSync.
And also did reset to the device by holding the Power + Ok (under the flywheel) with Stylus reset.
After that I downloaded "Hard SPL V7" and tried to update.
First of all, in the "Hard SPL V7" there was only the last option active, and there was down a checkbox also active, but when choosing the last option, checkbox bocomes like everything else disabled.
However, I got the erro 286
I felt like the Device disconnected from USB and reconnected again (Windows gave me the sound when you remove some USB device and you re-connect it again) :-|
I don't know what to do with this dead device now !
Thank you very very much for your time and help
Don't quote me on this as I suspect you need Hard SPL V7 but, as yo've tried things out and you're about to quit anyway, Try using the sd card to update the Stock rom, the rom that came on your Hermes, or updated version. It might let you do it if the CID matches.
I don't believe SPL 1.40 allowed you to flash ANY rom but it may let you re-install the stock rom BUT it must be the original carrier software it came with. If you had Telstra rom on it when you got it, it must be a telstra rom you flash. Make sure its for the right country too as some carriers are all over the world.
Cheers...
Hello ultramag69,
Thanks alot for your reply.
Having my i-mate dead, is really interesting.
I am trying to recover it up, Mine came with (HTC) logo when booting, and I did flushed it with Dopod.
But recently, the network stopped, and I asked some experts, they said it need new OS (They ment to re-flush the ROM).
I tried with the same Dopod that was successful before, and its now stucked on 11%.
I even downloaded the Telstra but the same, it stucked on 13%.
This is my entire story, and still I am trying to get it up.
Thanks alot for your helping. nice of you.
And for all who read my post, if they had such experience before, please help.

If you can, try to find the original SHIPPED STOCK ROM. It may be your Hermes won't be recoverable as the flash stopped in the radio rom part. Most people use a cooked rom as this has the radio rom part out.
I personally use the sd card method to flash my roms so there are no sync errors or accidents with my PC. But you need Hard SPL V7 installed to get that to work with any but the shipped rom.
DON'T try flashing anything but the shipped rom or you will loose all chances of recovering your Hermes.
The only other suggestion would be to flash the SHIPPED RADIO ROM, but you need to know what radio it was before you flashed it with the dopod rom.
Unfortunately the radio rom is the Achilles heel of our phone series. Any problems during flashing of that means we pretty much end up with a brick 99% of the time. Most people are stuck and the rest seem to have limited success reflashing the radio. AVERY small percentage get it working with no trouble, but its a REALLY small amount of people.
Good luck, Make sure you flash with the SHIPPED STOCK ROM to improve your chances of success.

Ultramag69, Thanks alot for your consideration.
Flusching using SD card didn't success with SPL V7.
I formatted my MicroSD card, 2GB with Fat32 FS.
After that I copied the file that came with the zip archive (RUU_signed.nbh) and renamed as required: (herming.nbh).
And I put it in my i-mate, and holded the (Power + OK under flyweel) then restarted using the stylus, It showed me the tri-color screen, then it shows (Loading...) with Gray background screen (Which is normally the flusching screen) but it returned to the tri-color screen.
Any suggestions to get this SPL V7 installed successfully ?
I tried with all my (.nbh) files that I have downloaded from all sources, but its the same screen.
I think something is really wrong with me i-mate, should I take it to some Hard-ware service center ? and what can be damaged and need to be replaced in such cases ?
I am very excited in getting it working again.
Thanks alot.
Cheers...
I had bricked my Hermes a couple o' times, because of a rom I cooked half-way ( LOL ). Each time I had to flash back to the stock rom as suggested. Don't lose hope, cuz there's some people who will tell you just to accept it as bricked. You could also take the sucker apart and use jtags to flash. Most types of bricks can be solved when it comes to the Hermes. There's a thread somewhere that polled the different types of bricks, and except for radio bricks, most can be solved. If you unbrick it try 6.5 .... !!! My rom is cooked all the way now
Arwany, did you run the SSPL.exe file in the sd card instructions for Hard SPL found on page 116, post 1160 of the Hard SPL thread? You need a version of Soft SPL (SSPL) to flash using the sd card as the CID must be bypassed. The reason we Hard SPL our Hermes is because its safer. Its worthwhile flashing the SPL using unsafe SSPL (even if you use the pc you have Soft SPL installed) as its a short flash, flashing a rom (especially stock roms with the radio rom inside) is a riskier and longer flash.

I had the same problem.. All you have to do is establish a connection with Actisync, then run the Updater. There will be 3 colors on your Screen, sont worry, just wait 10-15 min and your should be done with the setup.
Want to help

Hi,Just to tell You that I've noticed a little spelling mistake. You've written "herming.nbh" But it should be "Hermimg.nbh".
Not the 1st person to make that mistake, and probably won't be the last.....
Hi All,
Yeah, that worked out for me, I could successfully flush my JasJam with that.
Thanks for your reply.
I am still facing problem when trying to flush with other OS, its always stuck on the GSM line.
I am using the SD flush method.
Any suggestions ?
THank s alot for your help!
If you have the no GSM problem the only way to, maybe, fix is to flash the original SHIPPED STOCK ROM, or the original radio rom. Flashing anything else may result in a permanent brick...
If it doesn't succeed then, sorry, its not repairable. Can be used as a PDA but not as a phone ever again.
Cheers...
Thansks Ultramag69, for all the helps, It solved my main problem.
You also Ekonkar, your comments was so helpful.
I will try to do some hardware repairing in some Mobile shop, they may get it up again !
To fix it will cost more than to get a new device... They'll tell you they can't fix it or it needs a new mainboard. Will still cost you for this nugget of info. My advice, buy a Hermes off ebay, either working or not. If its not, make sure its screen related problem cos you have the parts to fix... Unless your screen has gone bung too...
Cheers...
I gave it to the repairing guy, he replaced the GSM item and its up and running now for only 20$.
Prost :-D
Sweet, You should post where and what country so others in the same situation might be able to get their Hermes up & running.
