just received my o2 XDA Diamond Pro today and must admit, that it's really a great device. But my o2 branded Version is a bit sluggish. I would like to test it with the original HTC ROM or at least have it on my harddrive before testing all the other releases as I did on my Kaiser.
If someone has it, please share it. TIA.

My Touch Pro (unbranded) is going to arrive tomorrow (if I'm lucky and don't miss the delivery guy). It's sad, I have the whole day off tomorrow, but I have to go the dentist at 13:00 and I'm almost certain it'll be exactly at that time that my parcel arrives...^^

Ok, here is the tutorial in german. When I got time i will translate it english.
1. Als erstes brauchen wir "itsutils" zum auslesen. Das Tool kann man hier herunterladen (itsutilsbin-20080731-2.zip).

2. Das zip File entpacken wir z.b. in c:\itsutils
3. Nun öffnen wir einen Reg Editor auf dem Pro. Falls ihr keinen habt findet ihr hier einen:

valuename '00001001' ist gesetzt als dword:2, ändern in dword:1
4. Pro mittels ActiveSync am PC verbinden

Jetzt geben wir folgenden Befehl ein: (am besten mit copy & paste):
“pdocread.exe -l”
Nun bekommen wir ungefähr folgenden Info:
457.75M (0x1c9c0000) DSK1:
| 3.12M (0x31f000) Part00
| 4.50M (0x480000) Part01
| 126.50M (0x7e80000) Part02
| 323.63M (0x143a0000) Part03

6. Nun geben wir folgendes ein

“pdocread -w -d DSK1: -b 0x800 -p Part02 0 0x7e80000 Part02.raw”
“pdocread -w -d DSK1: -b 0x800 -p Part03 0 0x143a0000 Part03.raw”
part02 und part03 dauern ein wenig. also einfach geduldig sein.
7. Im Ordner c:\itsutils liegen nun die vier part0x.raw Files.

Why do you want it in German? It runs perfectly, and in my opinion you not need a German version, since you can install the programs in German.
Warum willst Du das in deutsch haben? Es läuft doch perfekt, und meiner Meinung nach braucht man keine deutsche Version, da du ja die Programme in deutsch installieren kannst.

Es schaut so aus ... ich hackle neben her daran! Es ist verdammt schwierig! Derzeit versuch ich unser GPS Problem zu knacken. Also ich kläre mit einigen Leuten ab, ob das überhaupt geht. Ich testete sogar alle SPLs vor, um mögliche fehler zu finden. Derzeit ist mein VMWare Projekt noch nicht in er firma durch. Ab dann hab ich voll die Zeit dazu und dann gibts auch ergebnise! Ende März bin ich fertig.

Das mit GPS und WiFi können wir vergessen:
Fluxkompensator (Produktmanager bei o2 Germany) meinte auf ppc-welt.de, dass der Chip es zwar könnte, aber sie keine Antennen dafür verbauen lassen hätten bei HTC, um den Formfaktor des Star so kompakt hinzubekommen wie er ist.
Das einzige was machbar wäre wäre gehackte Imageontreiber, aber das Projekt dümpelt ja mehr so vor sich hin, obwohl es m.E. das wichtigere wäre.

Das mit dem Cleaned Rom ist genau das gemeint!
Das mit GPS und Wifi ... aus meiner sicht (Nachrichten Elektrotechniker) sind diese beiden Antennen vorhanden. Also ich kann diese Antennen als solches erkennen, was net heisen soll das ich zu 100% richtig lieg! Es gibt sogar ein Bild, wo genau die Wifi Antenne abgelichtet wurde. Wifi Antennen unterscheiden sich grundlegend von GSM/UMTS Antennen.
Zum Thema ATI ... da glaub ich eher, dass wird nicht funktionieren! HTC Nike verwendet ein MSM7200B Chip. Laut aussagen von HTC hat nur der MSM7200A diese funktion.

Hi, great ROM.
One thing not so nice for me: The Clock and the menu icon for the taskmanager to view the running tasks are to close to each other. Can not click the menu icon with the arrow right now

Hi zusammen, bei mir funktioniert die Camera nicht.
Das Camera Programme reagiert auf den Hardware Button und lädt, jediglich bekomme ich nur nen schwarzen Bildschrim.. mit den Camera Buttons.
Nach ein paar versuchen tut sich gar nix mehr.. - Softreset dann wieder das gleiche Problem wie am Anfang..

currently i try to finalize my self cooked rom. It's based on the latet ASIA_WWE ROM 1.37.728.3 , latest radio and Windows Mobile 6.5.3 Build 29007 (or other WM6.5.3 build 23152 or 21686).
But currently i am experiecing some problems:
1. When the phone is in power saving mode (i.e. Display off), sometimes when i reactiavte the phone and take the slider to unlock, the display is switched off again and and locked too. How to fix this?
2. On first start, the screen where i have to accept or decline the google localization service, there is no text. Even a Ceckbox that is checked and two buttons. The buttons are already clear (no text). Could anyone tell me which files contains this text so that i can replace it?
3. There is another text problem with the program that is launched after google localization service. In german official htc rom (1.28.407.1) there is a link that points youtube.com . Which file contains this text and have to be replaced with a fixed one???

Welche veränderungen hast du an deinem ROM vorgenommen? Es kann sein das ein Programm welches du in deinem Rom hinzugefügt hast sich mit etwas anderem nicht verträgt. Dieses Problem habe ich auch schon des öfteren gehabt, dann startete beim ersten start die Telefon einrichtung nicht, oder sprang direkt zum Startbildschirm.
What changes have you made to your ROM? You may be a program that you've added in your Rome is not compatible with something else. This problem I have had some say, then launched the first phone to start the device, or jump directly to the home screen.

Also, ich habe folgendes gemacht:
-Basis ROM ASIA_WWE 1.37.728.3
-0407-MUI für die EXT-Packages vom T-Mobile-ROM bzw. vom HTC GER ROM 1.28.407.4
-OEM_Lang_0407 vom T-Mobile-ROM
-BtRez.dll.0407.mui com T-Mobile-ROM in OEMDRIVERS
-SYS und XIP 29007 mit deutschen MUI-Files von Rollup 23563
-OperatorPKG vom HTC GER ROM v1.28.407.4
Das Problem wird sein, daß irgendwo ein 0407-MUI-File fehlt, oder falsch ist (Google Location Service, etc.)
Was ich eigentlich wissen will ist, was genau beim ersten Start nach dem flashen asugeführt wird. So kann ich herausfinden, welche MUI-Files ich checken muß.

I think the problem is a missing or wrong mui file (i.e. Google Location service).
What i want to know is how to find out which programs are started a first start after rom flashing. With this i am able to find out which mui files i have to check

Das Problem wird sein, daß irgendwo ein 0407-MUI-File fehlt, oder falsch ist (Google Location Service, etc.)
Was ich eigentlich wissen will ist, was genau beim ersten Start nach dem flashen asugeführt wird. So kann ich herausfinden, welche MUI-Files ich checken muß.

Also so tief bin ich bisher nicht ins System eingetaucht, ich hacke zwar auch sehr viel am System von Windows, jedoch hatte ich bisher keine Zeit mich so sehr mit den Systemdateien die tief im System sind zu beschäftigen.
Der Sinn des Asia Roms besteht doch darin das es die neuste Version für das HTC Mega ist, oder?

ja, ich verwende das ASIA-ROM als Basis, weil ich denke, daß das die aktuellsten Pakete drin sind. Ich würde zwar auch das neue Orange-ROM verwenden, aber das hab ich im Netz noch nicht gefunden, außer bei HTC selbst. Aber da komme ich nicht ran, weil meien Seriennummer des Grätes nicht paßt... Da ich jezt noch mehr Probleme habe (Google Mobile Maps geht nicht, Office Mobile 2010 öffnet keinen Dokumente, etc.) werde ich jetzt wohl alles nochmal von vorn beginnen. Ich werde aber dabei anders vorgehen. Basis wird die deutsche Firmware sein und ich werde nur die neueren Packages aus dem ASIA-ROM bzw. dem T-Mobile-ROM verwenden. Mal sehen, ob ich so voran komme...

yes i am using the ASIA-ROM as base because i think, there are the latest packages in it. I wish i could use the löatet Orange ROM but it's not available in other pülaces then HTC itself. And there i could not download it, because my serial is not accepted. But, it seems that there are more problems with my rom ( Google Mobile Maps does not run, Office Mobile 2010 doesn't open any documents and so on), so i will restart the project from the beginning. This time i try to use HTC GER stock ROM as baseand only update the packages from ASIA-WWE ROM or T-Mobile ROM. Lets see if i could eliminate the problems...

now i have remixed ext packages from ASIA_WWE_1.37.728.3 and HTC_GER_1.28.407.4 again and i am able to fix this page where you have to accept or decline Google Location service. But the last text oage is not fixed right now but thats no problem because it seems that there's only advertising for YouTube and others...
The Problem with Google Mobile Maps is already fixed, becaue there are many app.dat and app.reg files that point to the path "Program Files".
So i think it's Ok right now.

EzInput keyboard not hiding
Hi,
i have another problem with my self cooked rom. At this time it's related to EzInput v2.1 (latest one from ASIA-WWE-ROM_1.37.728.3).
Whenever i try to hide the keyboard by pressing the middle of the softbuttons the menu for changing the input method will open instead of hiding the keyboard.
Is there a way to fix this?
I want to have to do a long press on the middle softkey to open the sip menu and a short click to hide and show the input panel.

The WM 6.5.5 rom that I've flashed on my phone does this too. Wondering why. The only way I avoided this was to tap the middle icon quickly and sharply. After a few tries, the keyboard will hide. It would be nice if the delay could be increased though.
Btw, I'd love if I could cook my own ROM. What kitchen is used? I can't seem to find any kitchen posted in the wiki? Or maybe I looked at the wrong place. d:
it´s feature of WM6.5.5 If you tap on icon, SIP menu will be displayed, but if you tap left side, keyboard will hide.
