Hi,
my TouchPro came with 1.90.456.3
I dumped the ROM and rebuild it, following the procedures found here

I had already flashed my device with Hard-SPL, and with Radio 1.02.25.31, so I'm not sure if those are included in the dump/rebuild or not.
The dump and the rebuild went all ok, with no errors.
Pls. note that I haven't flashed it back to my device to test it, as my TouchPro is running perfectly, and I currently don't have the time to mess around with it.
So anybody brave enough can give it a try, or maybe our more experienced cooks, can examine the file in a Kitchen.

So you probably have to rename it to ruu_signed.nb and use the RaphaelCustomRUU.exe
This ROM is corupted...
ok, sorry, as said, follwed the instructions on how to dump and rebuild under the link above to the letter. I'm not a cook, so can't really say what may have gone wrong :-(

I ran at a post in the forums that explained why it's important to flash original ROM every time you upgrade to custom 6.1 and outlined proper 6.1 burning steps - flash the original AT&T ROM, ... do something that I forgot, flash radio you want, flash 6.1 ROM...
I don't seem to be able to find it anymore, I've spent over 2 hours searching XDA now... I may be just blind...
Anyone can point me in the right direction?

Its not really necessary, a minority of members have reported issues with WM6.1 ROMs but nearly every user I have chatted with has NOT been able to reproduce the problem.
I have flashed MANY MANY times with WM6.1 and have NEVER once found any issues with hard resets or crashes.
All I can say is use good practice, save any stuff you need to keep....use an exchange (activesync) account to backup your contacts and messages etc....DONT use a backup program (PIMBackup is ok) since moving between builds can cause issues when you restore the backup.

They did help me - flashing ROM and following the steps exactly fixed my nasty and long time SMS sending and missed calls problems...

Just a thought, when I find something I seriously DON'T want to loose again, I have a file on my pc for all the info I need. I download the links and copy the info into a word doc so even if I have to re-install windows (loosing my bookmarks in the process) I still have the info I wanted to keep with all the necessary cabs and things I need....

I've recently flashed to DCD's 3.23 ROM, and all went well; only problem is that I need to return my unit due to hardware issues! My carrier is US cellular, and I have downloaded the original US Cellular ROM Dump provided by DCD but I do not know hoe to flash this back onto the Titan... can anyone help? I have to return the unit upon receipt of the new one! Anyway, I plan on flashing the new unit, and It would greatly help if I new how to use the ROM Dump as a backup. Any direction that anyone can provide? Thank You all!!!
If your carrier's ROM dump has everything included (ROM, Radio, SPL, etc) like the Verizon one did, then you basically need to follow two steps:
(1) Relock using Titan Relocker
(2) Flash on the Stock ROM
you can find more info about this if you search for relocking
You need to Run the titanrelocker and then flash the radio and rom. Problem is there is a chance your usb wont work after the relock so you might have to flash the original radio via sd card then the original rom the same way.

Anyhow, I probably didn't specify well enough, the dumped ROM I'm speaking of is the one provided by DCD; I have no clue as to how to even begin to flash these files. I believe that all (radio etc.) is included, but, again, I'm not sure as to how to do it. I hope I'm not asking too much; if so, I apologize! here is a link to the files i'm speaking of; maybe that can help you help me. As for lllboredlll's reply, I don't know much of UC either! Hello, I'm a rookie at this but I've spent several days on this and I need help or confirmation. I have successfully dumped my ROM from a second x7510, and now I want to rebuild it into a flashable file (*.nbh). Since there are no X7510 shipped ROM out there I've tried using several other *.nbh files, such as the AP 4.0, some of them worked but none of my rebuilds had the drivers for the flashdrive and keyboard. Yes I'm an idiot for flashing it in the first place, but please help.

It's me again, hopefully someone with more knowledge will be able to answer my original question.
For those interested I have been able to rebuild a ROM that has the keyboard functionality, but still no flash disk.
Ok, can anyone tell me what I did wrong?
I extracted a htc rom, put a new opera wwe and opera _409 folder from another rom in (in the oem folder)
and I did "follow the on screen instructions"
But at a number of times, it just ran a utility and told me nothing about what to do with it.
I then flashed it, and sh*t myself when i noticed during the flash that the rom was only 70MB.
Thank god for HardSPL.
What did i likely do that resulted in the bad rom?
I've looked for a tutorial, but cannot find one that covers the tools / windows in the raphael kitchen build process.
Any help would be appreciated.
Edit: I used the new buildOS+package tool, not the old BuildOS as that one had a problem with duplicate provxml files I think.

Hi,
I often get PMs from people having the Format Failed error.
So I decided to read all the threads in this forum talking about that problem.
First: There are at least 2 reported cases of getting the Charmer alive again.
Knowing that it is possible but not well documentated I decided to start figuring it out myself.
So here is everything I found out so far:
There is a special not fully known combination of flashed ROMs that can fix the problem.
It has something to do with the EPPROM and only happens in the Charmer. The prophet using the exactly same EPPROMs don't have that problem.
And the Prophet is the key to fix the whole thing.
There IS a first package of ROMs and a manual how to flash them. I hope some people having that problems still have their Charmers and are willing to try it out.
How to use it:
-Put your Charmer into bootloader mode.
-Kill Active Sync.
-Connect the Charmer to your PC
-Run the Run_Me.bat file. Ignore all the other files.
-Click the things in the RUU like normal.
-Followe the instructions you can see in the comand Window.

I try your batch and when the first update utility starts with (aku1) I got an error 238: File read. Can not open requestet file. Is the first rom broken?
I flashed the second rom by myself (Prophet.nbf) and it flashes till 95% than stops with an error. rom not for your device.
you have the aku1 rom again? perhaps its broken.
Maybe it is broken. I don't know. You get the error cause you haven't flashed the first ROM. I don't have the ROM again. That was the only copy I found in the web. Maybe you can find one.

The AKU1 out of it is brocken and I wasn't able to find a new one till now. So IT WON'T WORK!!!!!!! If you have got a Aku1 tell it to me otherwise this projekt is stuck.

Well,I have exactly the same problem.
The AKU1 rom can not be flashed.I don't know if it is broken or not.
But I noticed that the size is 70,5 MB,while others are 71,2 MB...
Is there a possibility to get another AKU1 rom from somewhere?

If YOU,the MASTER, were not able to find an AKU1 rom,Ithink it is useless for me to google for it...

I found one. But it was bad. I'm not the master. I'm not even good compared to the real masters of the old days. You can try to search one. I stoped searching when I found the first. So there is still hope.

I made a quick search,but nothing.I know that AKU1 is very very old.But is there a different term to search for?I mean,searching for AKU!,does not lead anywhere.Is there a specific name for the rom to search for it?Does it matter if it is English or German?I suppose it must be WM5...
It has to be Charmer WM5 with IPL and SPL 1.x . The Language doesn't matter.
