Newbie, sorry if I am msising any info. I bought a HTC Touch Pro that says its quad-band and is HSDPA, but I can't get an "H" to appear, just an "E" which I assume is only connecting to the Edge network. I've tried different official radios, but can't seem to get it to work. Any advice?
I cant believe Im doing this.

I've looked through countless posts and on the wiki and have yet to find the answer to this question. If it has been answered and I missed it, I'm sorry... I'll look harder next time.
I just purchased a Fuze from a good friend of mine who works in an AT&T corporate store. Since this version supports the US 850mhz 3G band, I need to know if I will loose that support or possibly brick my phone by flashing a radio from a version of the Raphael that does not support this band.
Thanks again for the help.

As soon as I get my Fuze I will work on that as well. Maybe take a page from TarsusBulba as he did in the Kaiser Forum to make the Tilt hardware keyboard with with HTC Roms

Bottom of the page, its the cab to remap your Fuze.
Well, I promised to post my findings, so here it is:
My Fuze can still connect to the AT&T 3G network with no issue even after flashing the .28 radio from an international Touch Pro. Really adds to the mystery of why the Touch Pro can't do US 3G yet the Fuze can...

Not yet. I like to be security unlocked prior to any sort of flashing. It's just a preference thing after the Kaiser Radio from Hell fiasco.

Reflashing from different carriers?
Verizon and sprint run CDMA and EVDO, and ATT runs GSM(edge) and UMTS, I'm not really such you can just re-flash the radios to swap networks, I maybe wrong but I would like to know also. Anybody?

no no no ... you can't swap gsm radio rom to a cdma phone ... it won't work and you might end up bricking your phone.
i believe what the op is asking if he will loose us 3g ability if he flashes a european 3g radio rom that doesn't support the att 3g band. And imo i think yes you will loose 3g by doing that. If this was avoidable than everyone who bought a international rapheal could have been using it here in states with att/tmobile 3g...

Yet I did not loose my 3g ability after flashing the european radio. The question now is why?

Doesn't Olipro's Raphael Unlocker do just that? Are you saying that you just haven't done this yet or that this program needs to be updated for the Fuze? Also I noticed the SPL version is 1.95.0000 on my Fuze, not 1.90. Do you think it is safe to flash RaphaelHardSPL-Unsigned_1_90_3? Happy to test my new Fuze but just need a little reassurance first I'm not likely going to brick this new puppy. Thanks.
Good to see some top Kaiser guys here with the Fuze. Give me comfort in knowing we will have a strong Fuze following.

i believe there are a few people who successfully flashedhe Fuze. I'm in the process of doing so as well, just flashed Romeos2.
now this question might come off as stupidest you'll ever hear, but please bear with me as this is the first time i'm flashing a rom. do i have to do anything about the radio after flashing the rom? (a better question is: does flashing rom get rid of the radio so that I have to get a new one?)
thanks guys for the help.
I hate AT&T but I do like the Atrix. If I manage to unlock it, I know I will be able to connect to T-Mobile's edge network, but is there any chance it would be able to connect to T-Mobile's 3G and 4G networks? Before anyone says no out of hand remember an unlocked Vibrant can connect to AT&T's 3G network.
I know this seems like a dumb question but I really do hate AT&T and would rather stick with my Nexus S on T-Mobile than use an Atrix on AT&T. So I'm hoping that the unlikely possibilty exists that I can use the Atrix on T-Mobile's network.

Short answer...NO.
I was afraid that would be the answer, but out of curiosity you said the short answer was no, is there a long answer that is yes?

lol, you don't give up do you? Well it's still no. This phone was not built with AWS bands in mind, which are 1700/2100mhz. In case of the Vibrant, I guess Samsung wanted more world support and offer the 1900mhz which is also supported by AT&T. Either way you take it, it's just not going work.
I suggest you wait for now, your Nexus S will keep you happy until T-Mobile gets some dual core love as well. Just try and be patient, sometimes this pays off in the end ..
Besides, you have more dev support right now, so go flash some ROMs.
Thanks, for taking the time to answer my question with such great detail. I will stick with my Nexus S for sure now. I knew it was a longshot when I posted but a guy can hope.

Haha no problem..good luck, maybe things will change in a few weeks ..anyway all the best!
Can someone more experienced than me, please help me with this?.
I have an AT&T Atrix. I tried flashing some Latin America radios to it, like Retail Brazil and Personal Argentina ones (sorry, I can't remember the radio version number). They flash fine, and I get full signal and UMTS connectivity, but I don't have internet access. Phone shows 3G connectivity in the status bar, but it won't upload nor download data.
The reason I want to use these radios its because they were developed to be used in my area.
I can't understand why these radios kill my internet connection when other radios like the 01.97.00R works with no issues.
So, please, can anyone help me to understand why I don't have internet access with these radios?. Is there any trick I can do to fix this issue?.
I'm using the stock 4.1.8.3 radio (N_01.77.15P) now since it seems to be the most stable.
Thanks in advance.
Bump.
Please people!. Topics like "Why my Atrix is black?" gets more replies than my questions.
I'm really dissapointed. This is the fifth time I ask a question and noone gives a damn.
Now you see why people post questions in the development forum.
This is the rhythm of the bump!.
Btw, why is the Atrix black?
Dude, you had it coming. Lol!

Don't worry, it was a joke afterall.
Whipon, did you get your atrix fixed?
Whipon, Lograste arreglarlo?
Sorry to ask the obvious, but did you got your Access Point Names correct?
AT&T branded phones will have to manually get the AP configuration when used outside of AT&Ts network.
Let me know!

No, I don't know how to fix it. I'm using the stock 4.1.8.3 radio.

My APN settings are fine. I've switched radios through RSD Lite lots of times, and my APN settings remain there. There's no need to modify them.
I've manually configured my APN when I flashed 4..1.8.3, and its correctly set up for my carrier. Using 01.87.00R or 01.97.00R radios, my data plan works perfectly. But when I tried to flash some LA radios like Personal Argentina or Retail Brazil, while the 3G icon is showed in the status bar, I have no internet connection.
So I was hoping someone with more experience could help me make these radios work with an AT&T Atrix. Current stock radio works fine, but my signal strength suddenly drops very often, and sometimes I have no data and I have to reboot the phone.
I have been around the forum for many years now, but am new to Android. I purchased a GT-i9100 in India for work travel between US and there. I have rooted and upgraded to 2.3.4, and applied a new kernel to remove the exclamation point. So, with that said, here is my question:
I am in the US right now, and in an area supported by T Mobile HSPA, but the phone will only connect to Edge. I am PRETTY sure it was only connecting to Edge before I did the work, but I cannot be sure. Would there be anything I did to the phone that would prevent it from getting onto the "4G" network? Is there anything I need to do now to change so it can connect?
I am not sure if this is related either, but I have a Verizon LTE data card, and if I place that SIM in the GT-i9100, it won't recognize it at all. It seems to only see T Mobile and ATT in the US.
I have spoken to T Mobile and they confirmed the 4g availability where I am, and they also reset my network connection, so the issue does not appear to be on my account or with TMobile.
Sorry for the long post, but I have been searching around and can't seem to get my small mind around resolution.
The SGS2 does not work with T-Mobile's 4G bands here in the US. If you want 4G you'll need AT&T.

That's because there is no resolution. As stated in several other threads on these forums (learn to do a search, and there's even one on the main page of Q/A right now) THERE IS NO WAY to get 3G on T-Mobile. The hardware in the phone does not support their 1700MHZ band.
Your 2 options:
1. Buy a T-Mobile phone
2. Switch to AT&T
Hey guys I have tried searching the forums but I can't find a clear answer, if I was to get a tmobile galaxy 4 that doesn't have 4.3. Is it possible to root it and get it to work on Verizon's network?

Well I answered my own question , I'm assuming it's not possible. I just bought a galaxy s4 running 4.2.2 and I'm going to try and root it, been reading like crazy but if I run into trouble and need help, I hope someone will help me.. Trying to do the right thing but no one seems to answer me.

Looking at the bands on gsmarena, I would say that isn't going to work. That variant doesn't have CDMA bands. The reason Verizon to Tmobile/ATT works is because the Verizon phone has the CDMA/GSM bands.
