at first glance I have 3 bars of service at home when i never get more than 2. So far definately an improvement over .28 and .31
How is the sound volume of this new radio? Thanks.

the radio rom has nothing to do with the application for fm radio. so it should be independant to its sound volume

Have update to this Radio now, have to make some calls etc to see if there is any improvments.
Flashed and testing. By now much better 3g reception. At home I only had one bar and now two even three.
Just flashed it, will keep y'all posted on the results...

Interesting results... for me the reception is the same with Orange here at home, one-two bars with .28 and same with this one... i'll do more tests later out of home with 3G and GPS.

Wit the .28 gps lag with TomTom was over but with Igo8 less lag but still a bit

Flashed and went back to 141.00.10....Damn. I sit here in my office and pick up 3G with Radio 141.00.10, upgraded to 147.00.10 and lost my 3G connection, loaded 141.00.10 back on and have 3G in my office again. Also Tried 1.40.30.00 and 1.43.00.00 with same results.

Just tested radio in Long Beach CA
I used the 1.46 for a day and it worked great. Seem to have better reception and the I net connect was like non other (previous was 1.43). I get HSPDA with 1.43 and 1.46 (3.5g) As soon Toejam posted the 1.47 (j/k JJ)I flashed my radio. Calls were cool, but surfing the net sucked big monkey HUEVOS (balls) the damm thing would get stuck everytime I launched a page . So I reverted to the 1.46.
Since my beaner ass has not figure out the damm signature yet here is what I8525 ATT unlocked

sharing my ICS experience with this Radio ROM
I just extracted the radio 1.47.51.00 from the htc x7501 wm6 rom and packaged it so it only flashes the radio only. Please ensure if you want to use make sure your device is hardspl which you can find here:

I have flashed it twice now and both times without no probs only set back is that after the radio upgrade your device will hard reset and have to set up device again. I am using this radio with the latest dopod wm6 upgrade now.

I bet your club doesn't do Guinness at £1.50 a pint.
if you haven't CID unlocked already (or if you have) if this has a new radio bootloader, (0108) your CID will be stuck from now on.
then again, it might not, I'll report back in the morning

hi olipro, sPl hasnt changed still the same faithful SPL-V1.20.Olipro hardspl when you go into bootloader as i just extract the radio.nb itself and repackaged it. Let me know anyway

1st post updated with radio 1.45.00.00
I have been using the 1.47.51.00 radio and so far not much difference between them although I think radio 1.45.00.00 has got a better 3g signal and vice versal with radio 1.45.00.00 has got a better gsm signal.
Both radios has got similar battery life in my own opinion and to fairly say that both radios are really good in terms of overall use with the athena

I have been using the x7501 radio rom thats in my sig and tested it with video call and it works, not that I have used it that much.

I would assume then that the Radio ROM supports it, it may just be that the Main ROM has had those functions removed for the X7501.
I'll give it a go. Hopefully it will stop the problems I get when leaving a 3G area. Every time I do, i get no signal for around 10 seconds while it latches on to the 2G signal.
Of course, it could just be that T-mobile have crappy transmitters in my area.....

Well, so far, so good! My flat here in SF is a hole and I am getting good reception. Made a call to my dad who reported it "exceptionally clear." I know we here in the Bay Area were having probems with 1.5x radios, but this one works here in The Haight.
Update: After a soft reset, it was a bit slow finding a signal, but it did finally come around. For some reason, when I first flashed it, I had one more bar, now it's back to what 1.48.00.00 was giving me. I'll keep an eye on it.
Update 2: Still slow to grab a signal after a soft reset, but I am getting a stronger signal again. Like I said, my flat is a hole when it comes to signal, so it may be the cause for the erratic behavior. Still, I have high hopes for this radio. BTW, connection to my WiFi was fast and smooth.

i was rockin the kaiser for about 40 minutes, then the digitizer died, had to ship it back for a replacement.... but from what i was able to do with it i can say that the phone is amazing!!!

i reflashed my entire rom with the radio 1.54.07.00 built in and it works perfectly now.

flashed the radio to 1.54.07.00 on my 8525, it seems working prefectly.
i love my new htc nike/niki but the signal is making me mad! it barely have reception. and i stay in the U.S and im using Tmobile! do you guys have any advice for me to what radio i should flash. i mean theres a radio rom in this forum but i dont know which one is good. thanks..

i have 1.58.16.27 with TMobile US and it's working fine. this is the radio version that came stock with my niki. i'm up for trying new ones but haven't heard from any other US users that say others are better.
oh i didnt really have a chance to try that out cuhzz i flashed my phone when i got it. im usin the polaris radio right now which is 1.58.21.23 and uh its good at certain places but yeah.. so do you recommend me to flash 1.58.16.27??

i personaly use the latest modded kaiser radio - but am in austria .... better signal and much more battery life !

yea, this one works as expected. if your signal is as bad as you say, it doesn't hurt to give it a shot.

yeah im using it right now. but still signals still sucks. grr i can never have a stable full bar. its always at 2 bars or 1. even if im outside.

i use the latest ( with the highest version number ) modded kaiser radio ... but may be different in your country - best to give it a try and test week by week which fits you best.

hi, I tried the radio 1.58.21.23 for niki it was working well with orange in france except that I was not able to use activsync over bluetooth.
activsync in the niki never see my laptop even if it was correctly copled with the bluetooth manager.
I came back to the radio 1.58.16.27 who it is working well
First and foremost, you must be security unlocked prior to flashing radio roms from other devices.
Now does anyone want a new Radio?
Well lookie lookie what I found. New Blackstone radio 1.08.25.23. Just flashed to my Fuze and working just fine so far. Need to test for battery life and signal but it for sure works.

I don't have this issue. I just tested again to make sure and the screen tearing is not occuring for me.
Do you know if that's usually just signs of a bad flash?
Maybe I should just try to flash it again.
My battery went from 95% down to 79% too in a matter of about 3 hours with no use, most of that drain seemed to be right as the screen thing happened.
Has anybody tested GPS with these new radios yet? I am still having wicked bad issues with my GPS not locking (currently using 1.08.25.20).

pretty good service for me i would say but as for now the battery life is HORRIBLE. within 3 hours its down to 70%
