I have DCD 3.2.6 right now and just purchased a new Motorola H500 Bluetooth and the volume level is horrible. Could someone who has MR1 post the Audiopara.csv file? Wanted to try it and see if the BT is any better.
Thanks

hey guys, i have the dcd on my xv6800 loving it. got me back and forth on a 4 hour trip flawlessly, even when we went searching for poi's the old fashioned way and it redirected. thanks to dcd and tomtom.
well, i want my wife to have the gps feature on her xv6800 as well. but is it possible for dcd or someone to create a rom, pretty much unchanged other than adding the gps drivers.
my wife likes the overall setup of the stock rom and its stability. i just want her to have the gps.
can anyone help? and if there is an obvious answer, please excuse my ignorance. i did do searches, here and google.
thanks guys/gals
what do you mean setup?
you can add everything back to a "dcd rom" to make it almost "stock" as far as programs go i personally have a verizon xv6800 with the 3.27 radio and DCD's 2.2.6 rom and having no problems at all if you need help with something feel free to PM me.
The 2.2.0 seems to be the most stable of the DCD roms and to answer your question, there's no official radio with GPS and therefor the custom rom, bootloader, and radio all have to be cooked, at least for the moment.
I have DCD 3.1.2, and I'm running the 3.37 alltel radio. I searched and searched forever, couldnt find it ANYWHERE.
Cliff notes: Which radio version will make the GPS in my verizon XV6800 lock on? I'll even downgrade to dcd 3.0.4 if I have to, if no radio update would help.

I know you're new to the community...and I know there are plenty out there who are just joining...but a little advice...
PLEASE read and search through all the threads before creating random threads. Not only does this flood the forums with 1 pager threads that are useless (your questions are answered already in other threads), it also pushes the more important threads down, making them hard to find.
Read the Titan Internal GPS thread, read the wiki, and there's plenty of other threads pertaining to GPS on Verizon such as this one..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=398865
Upgrade to 3.39.10
Thanks for the reply.
I've already read and posted in that thread, I even read the wiki and the rom/radio matchup list. The thing is, when most people who post that they managed to get their GPS working, they only say what they used and not how they did it or what the roms were for. Everyone who got their GPS working had either a sprint phone, or a verizon phone with the DCD 3.0.4 rom installed.
Cliff: Will 3.39 work for SURE? Was it known that the 3.37.20 caused the GPS to lock up?
Alright well I'll clear something up for everyone...
The OS rom has NOTHING to do with whether or not GPS works.
GPS on carriers other than Sprint will be inconsistent due to lack of aGPS, and no rom or radio will fix that unless an official GPS software update gets released by the carrier.
I have Verizon and my GPS works consistently, but not perfect. I have applied the fix that I have been testing, though it still worked OK before the fix, just not as good.
My advice to everyone, upgrade to the LATEST rom and radio.
hey guys
i've seen a couple people using radio 3.42.02 on 3.0.4 but havent heard anyones results. is it 100% compatible with 3.0.4? how's the gps? signal? i searched around and didnt find any info about .0.4 only .1.6. if there's a thread somewhere hook it up =)
I actually upgraded to the 'official' rom today, but I wouldn't hesitate to update the radio on dcd 3.0.4. A couple of days ago I updated the radio on DCD 3.1.6 without any problems.
i'm pretty up in the air and hesitant about updating anything. 3.2.0 is pretty damn tempting but i lalalove my 3.0.4.
I'm with you. 3.04 was the build I used the longest. Itried the others, but always flashed back to 3.04. I'm on 3.56 now... Other than Sprint TV half-ass working, I see no benefit over 3.04.
word i appreciate the input. i get alot of 'just upgrade they wouldnt make it if it wasnt worth it" stuff like that. 3.0.4 is deisel
3.0.4 is three driver updates ago and 3 WM builds ago. It might have not made THAT much of a difference between 3.0.4 and 3.1.2, but we're now two releases past 3.1.2.
You can do what you want, but my opinion is that you should upgrade.
using the newer dcd ROM, I'm having no problems.
If I have the newest DCD 3.2.6 and radio 3.42.50 with the newest PRI for verizon.
I was wondering if need to do this fix:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=VerizonAGPSFix
I am only finding around 3-4 sats, barely getting a lock and I was hoping that I could do that fix for the Assisted GPS.
um yeah? if you need assisted GPS and thats a tutorial on how to get assisted GPS, what are you asking?
Since the GPS worked on it's own, I figured that DCD had taken care of it.
Also, I thought I read a fix somewhere that that fix didn't work with DCD's ROM
Yes, that fix is definately needed....
The USB port on my 6800 broke so insurance replaced it. I'm running DCD's 3.44 and 50 radio on Verizon. I have flashed and flashed over and over checked QPST and reg settings.
Can it be just be the GPS never worked in this phone? Could this have come with the MR1 update on it? Is there a way to check? I have dloaded every kind of primer app as well and they do see the GPS port. GPS gate seems to work but reports no data.
I'm out of ideas.

My first guess, assuming you turned the GPS on, is that you did have the MR 1 update.
You may as well try reverting back to stock winMo6.0 then back up to 6.1 via the standard method.
Secondly you could flash stock MR1 update then install valhalla GPS server cab.
What PRI do you have. If its 2.xx then you prolly did have MR1.
How did you unlock and what ROM/radio etc did you use?
The PRI is 2.xx but I thought that was from DCD's Verizon cab? I believe I unlocked with 2.40 than 2.47 at least that is my current BL. The radio is 3.42.50 and the rom is DCD 3.3.4 I am just about ready to pull the trigger on reverting back to stock and starting over. I just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something.
One odd thing. I still get the white Verizon splash screen.Whenever I loaded a new romDCD's always had an HTC splash screen so that also leads me to believe it may have the MR1 update on it but not sure. Does that mean anything to you?

Thanks for the info on the splash screen. Did not think of asking that. If you have the standard VZW splash screens then you didint update correctly wiht the sprint ROM and not knowing where the ROM was before you started I would hazzard a guess and say you were on MR1. If you were not on MR1 then you hosed something during the sequence of flashing but that usually leads to a phone that sticks booting... I would try this before I revert back.....
Keep phone unlocked, flash sprint firmware and be careful not to let the customizations run, apply aGPS fix for VZW, test. If it fails then I can certainly say you were on MR1 and must revert back to stock. There may be another way of doing it but I honestly think starting fresh is always best.
Good news to report. I couldn't sleep last night as this was really bothering me. I went back to the stock radio and rom then flashed the radio and rom back to 3.42.50 and DCD's 3.4.4. All is working now but I still have the Verizon splash screen. I would have to say this must have shipped with the MR1 update. There was one value in the regisrty that I missed with the agps settings but that shouldn't have had any effect on the GPS from just the sats.
My PRI is also at 2.xx. This must be in DCD's Verizon cab. I did check when I flashed back to stock and it was at 1.xx
Seems a lot of people have broken USB ports. That was the reason for this replacement. On my last one the voice record button broke. So this is my third 6800.

That PRI is a bastard to get of. I found the best way to get rid of it is to kitchen a ROM, and then add in the Extended ROM from the stock VZW rom (non-GPS) and it was able to finally get rid of the PRI.
If you are still having issues with that PRI, let me know, I might be able to supply my PRI killer ROM if I still have it around.
Thanks but I am all set. Everything is working fine. I believe the guru's feel the 2.xx PRI is the one to have, just not the rest of the update.
