I think that cradle that he has pictured is actually a Diamond cradle with the plastic insert removed so the HD will fit.
For me it looks like this one: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/212118340/KiDiGi_Deluxe_Desktop_Cradle_for_HTC.html
But didnt find a shop in germany/switzerland which sells it.
Hope to find one of these (or equivalent ones) soon.

Your correct.
The insert has been removed - actually pretty dangerous as your likely to damage either the cradle or the HD - suitable only for a quick photo as you effectively ballancing the phone on the cradle with no support?
The usb port on the bottom of the HD DOES NOT support audio (cradle speakers OR usb headset) which for me is very dissapointing nor does the port support the TV Out function that you get with the Pro - the port is for charging and data only so looks like HTC will either bring out a completely new cradle OR you'll have to go with a 3rd party solution (Expansys already have one for pre-order listed here under accessories?)
I have the HD (collected from HandTec on Thursday) - I also have the Diamond and the Pro and so have been comparing them constantly for a few days now.
My conclusion so far for what its worth - the HD is NOT an upgrade from the Pro or Diamond - it is in fact a very different phone and should be considdered in its own right and not compared. As a business user - stick with the Pro - for general phone use - go for the diamond - for entertainment on the move - the HD "may" be the phone for you? I'll be sticking with my Pro for general business use and will continue to work on the HD for now....

I have just received my HD yesterday and in one of the accessories booklets it shows an official HD docking station.
I'm also waiting for that one to be released.

The DELUXE looks very nice
On the deluxe image above, is that a large door/flap that opens up? Is that to support the HD so it leans on the door otherwise there is nothing to accidentalyy prevent the hd forcefully pushed backwards and thus damaging the usb connector or phone.
Is there any news about the official HTC Touch HD cradle?

i bought a nice cradle for my TyTN a few years ago, it fit snuggly. Trouble I had with it, was it didnt always fit the little usb slot first time, it'd hit the edges and envariably start to chip away around the paint.
With all the people with chipped paint issues i'm already paranoid enough, i'm not sure I am going to get a usb cradle.

Considering that the Polaris Nav Upgrade Kit is available in Feb, I suspect that they do not yet have a picture of the Polaris version and are using this to give us an idea of what it is that we are waiting for.

The Brodit doesn´t fit 100%, i had it here at the weekend and send it back. Only 99%, the 1% is to put the orbit 2 in the brodit, you need to much power, you have to push it hard and then you even don´t get it out without more power to pull it out *autsch*. i think it´s only 1/10 millimeters, but these 1/10 millimeters doesn´t fit to 100%

Personally I'm waiting to see that pack that I initially posted. Not exactly like that picture but same product for Polaris as it would be perfect for me when renting cars and travelling across Europe.
Will this pack only be available at expansys, or also in shops like amazin? I think the shipping prices at expansys are an unbounded cheek
For the record, the Orbit 2 comes with this kit as standard.

I got one of these supplied with my Orbit 2 when I got it from the O2 shop earlier this month. The cradle fits perfectly but the gooseneck is a bit too short for fitting in a convenient place on a raked windscreen. I use the cradle with the fixings from an XDA IIi vent mounting kit and its great for me.

I find expansys Germany taking me for a ride, postponing the release date of this package on and on. They postponed it every two weeks since the end of february, I'm really pissed, how's that in other countries?

waiting for Godot, i realized from the various videos that the package from Htc doesn't include a case. Thinking to the 3.8" LCD with a big scratch on it, i decided to anticipate the step and ordered the lateral case from Beyza for the iphone 3G. it shouldn't have any issue with the TOUCHHD, I hope...FYI. Anybody that identified case alternatives?
I'm hoping that the so far shown packages were just those for test versions and that the original package would have a case like in the pro and the diamond.

I saw a picture of the package the HD comes with yesterday. There is a case in it. It is pretty simple and is more a leather sleeve, but i have to say i like it, as it is simple and protects the screen and easy to slide the HD in and out.

indeed, there is a soft case in the HTC package. However, i am used to keep it attached to my belt, and therefore useless.
The good news is that the beyza leather case originally designed for the iphone works perfectly, it is well tight and you can even attach the headphones while keeping the touch hd inside the case.
I buy in pdair.com, leather cases at $28, all inclusive.
The HD version is coming, I ordered the iPhone model, dimension are similar...
I've already made a request to Boxwave that they create a Designio leather case for the Touch HD.
You can Contact Boxwave with a request for an HTC Touch HD Designio Leather case and a cradle. The more requests they get for a specific model, the more likely they are to manufacture it.
Edit: Piel Frama already has cases for the HTC Touch HD.

It was ordered through company, they paid 487 euro without taxes.

the soft case supplied is utterly useless and very fiddly.
I confirm the "useless" part. My HD has scratches on the top because it fell from 30 cm (1 ft) on the ground and this soft thing doesn't protect that side. before I commit suicide, does anybody know if HTC will supply replacement parts? Or, as a workaround, is there a silicone case? At least I won't see those ugly scratches

I hope so much that Seidio will produce a case for the HD, as something similiar happened to me with my Tilt (slipped out of my hand while riding a bike) and because it was in an Innocase nothing (!) happened to my phone.
But I fear that Seidio won't produce one, because the HD won't be sold in the US
Anyone knows if car holder for the Hero is available already? Although when I think of the Hero's chin probably a magnetic holder will be the most convenient way.
Yeah, I'm hoping for a Brodit one (I think it's Brodit I got, the one where you have to have one part for your car specifically and the other for your phone)

Brodit have gone a bit off for me, using cheap crap Cig lighters. They used to give you the option to have a hardwire version with a straight cable (neater to tuck away) rather than the curly cable with the cig adaptor

I have that one, it does the job but occasionally the volume down button is squashed which sends the phone into vibrate mode!

It has kind of a cheap feel to it, but it fits the hero PERFECTLY and clings to the car's air vents, so it takes little space and can barely be seen when not holding the phone.

The Hero's 'chin' is going to make sliding it onto a male USB connector pretty difficult (with the strange angle I mean). I'm sure the Brodit guys can work it out though

Should be alright, they managed it with the Magic, it had a slight chin. Feels like waiting an eternity!
Still no sign of it on Brodit.com.....

I recently sent my Tilt 2 back to AT&T for warranty and was given a different handset.
I want to give away the box and everything that came with it to anyone willing to pay the shipping cost.

Well I actually "had" multiple issues with my Tilt 2 on 3 different occasions which allowed me to pick any phone in the same category. I ended up with the Samsung Captivate which I ended up giving to my cousin.
iboj007: I believe so. It plugs into the mini-USB/Charge port at the bottom of the phone. I can't swear, but I believe the dongle has a mini-USB Port, and at least one headphone port (for 2.5mm) and I think it also has the third headphone port (for 3.5 mm).
It's black (that's the only color I've ever seen it in), and it' looks like a box (with all the ports on one side) and the dongle that plugs into the phone coming out of the "top" side.

I know this is a bit late, but I just saw this thread. The T-Mobile TP2 battery cover is different than all the other ones. Only the T-Mobile battery cover will fit the RHOD210.

I think I've seen that one in a search result, how do you find it for stability? I'd hate to have something that's easy to topple.
There's loads on Amazon but none particularly cheap. Cheapo option is to use a picture frame or plate stand. Sounds stupid but they do the job. It's not like you'll see them once the pad is on it. Either that or you could make one yourself if you're handy with tools, and don't burn down the house.

I got this one from best buy for 14.99 has been perfect.

That thing is stable as a rock! I put it every where... I even keeps my TF upright when it's standing on the mattress at night! It has padded rubber feet and the same rubber at the part where the tablet rests so it cannot slip easily. Well worth the money and it's foldable....

Thanks for the recommendation. I just received mine today and it is working great so far. Super stable.
Good grief the prices for the Arkon stand range from just under a tenner to £37.58! Someone's having a laugh!
Told ya. This one looks kinda funky though: LINK Can't see why it wouldnt work with the tf.

Its been reduced to $12, decent price really.
The biggest issue with that stand (I have one) is that you can't really have the charger connected whilst it is sitting on it.

Why cant you have the transformer's port at the top, and plug it in that way? The screen will adjust fine. You need a usb 3.0 extension cable of course though.

For that reason, plus it looks butt ugly!
What I'd really like is a small plug, with the cable coming out of the side (if you know what I mean!).

Yeah it doesnt look pretty but gets the job done. Sounds like you might be interested in the official eee pad dock that has been rumoured to be on its way.

Yeah well I've not spent any money on a desk stand as I built one myself. I'd rather spend the money on a nice leather case when they're out. That one seems pretty expensive.
