i can pair my dopod 838 pro with my moto S9 BT headset. my problem is i cant send or receive bluetooth files. my dopdo pro cannot pair with other smartphones.
can anyone pls help me?

Have you gone to settings/bluetooth/mode and checked "make device visible to other devices"?
I already did
i made sure that receiving all beam is enabled, my device is visible, but everytime i try to send and receive files, it jjust shows error. if the other device tries to send me a file, it immediately fails.
what could possibly wrong and what can i dO?
i thought upgrading my ROM to wm6.1 with touchflo will resolve it but it didnt.

I have the same problem but I still can send files from the hermes.
I already enabled Incoming Beams and OBEX in the Advanced Config Tool.
The Button for Beam in the Commanger is still grey an i cant enable it.
What Can I do?

i am using an i-mate ROM1.66WWE
i upgraded it to ROM1.72WWE from the Offical site...
it's all great except SMS status reports! i don't recieve them!
what is the problem?
Did you used to get them before? because some operators don't send delivery reports. some do when you put something in the subject or something like that. I remember some posts about that in the past.
do you request them? maybe the registry key from the other thread has disappeared with the upgrade.
yes i used to recieve them always when i request SMS delivery notification..
i didn't use any cab file to change the registery to Always Request SMS delivery notification.. i prefer to do it manually...
all i did was upgrading from 1.66WWE to 1.72WWE...
is there any way to recieve them again?
I receive them on 1.72 Proximus. So I have no idea

i noticed something today !
when the phone is sending an SMS i put it near my pc speakers u know that annoying sound (tt tt ttt tttttt )
after the sms is sent and delivered to my bro mobile....i hear that sound from the speakers again but nothing is shown on my device....
i remebered something about SMS notifications..the report was delivered to me as a regular sms contains (delivery successed or failed)....
after a while my operator (syriatel) changed the report to a flash sms which appears suddenly on the screen...telling the status...
(on Nokia Symbain Device like 6600/7610 first a regular sms and then flash which can be seen at Messaging/Reports)
u understand what i mean?
on both my i-mate was recieving the status reports...
maybe the New ROM has something with flash SMS????
anybody knows something about it?

don't know anything about flash sms
i just tried the Flash SMS it's no problem at all the device recieve it!
the problem is the reports !!
if the problem is from the update...
is the Rom or the Radio Rom who is responsible for the SMS control?

I'm using Widcomm 1.0.0.3500 BT and it works fine. However i cant send file to another ppc via Resco Explorer v5.13 (latest). The error message i got is "The Connection to the peer device failed."
Can anyone probably help.....
Anyway i got no problem sending file to a desktop pc....

make sure that the box for "RECEIVE ALL INCOMING BEAMS" in the connections tab has a check in it...

hi, i have imate smartflip WM5, i cant recieve files via BT, an error message on the other phone says ( unable to connect), im sure bluetooth in both phones turned on and my phone is discoverable, any ideas?? also i want to know how to change the default folder (my documents) for recieving files sent by BT to Storage card?? thankss
I'm not sure, but if it works the same as on my Qtek 8500, then it is neccesary to turn on "recieve incomming beams". (Settings->Connections->Beam->Recieve incomming beams)

Are you sure you have a qtek 8500 ? 'cause on mine there is no infra-red...
Regarding the BT-problems, it a common problem when you try to communicate with "normal" phones, it seems they can't send and recieve via BT, I have encountered this problem many times..(also with my qtek s110 )...

I'm using [WM6.1] WM6.1 Build 5.2.19202 AKU 1.0.0 by pArtizAn on my qtek 8500 but I have some qquestions.
My bt pairs with other devices, internet sharing is ok, but I can't beam anything, or no one else can send me anything via bt either - the other phones report an error.
Can anyone help?
Another thing is - I can't synchronise contact with active sync - it says I need to install outlook on the phone. I'ma a total newbie here, so can anyone link to an outlook app I can download and install, or can you show me any other way to backup my contacts??
Are the contacts shown under "contacts" the same as my sim contacts in sim manager? It seems they're not.
Is there a piece of software for manaing contacts, messages - like a pc suite for nokias or se's?

but due to bluetooth receiving problem, follow to step below to active de "allow Beam":
go setting-> connection-> Beam-> tick or check the "Receive incoming Beams" den now u can receive file from others~
Hello guys, I have a month old Optimus One-p500, Indian version and NOT rooted. The bluetooth was working fine till date, but suddenly not able to send or receive files from other mobiles. It says file mpeg not able to send. But I am able receive from my PC, though cannot send it. Is it because of any application or something!
Please somebody help me!
Try ' bluetooth file transfer' from market.
Ain't there any other solution for this like making the default bluetooth work somehow!
