Fix: Delete Empty Boxes TF3D Programs
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can only have 18 icons in the programs tab, the new one/s that keep popping up are useless. You can get rid of them by going in to your registry and delelting the offending entries.
Navigate to - HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLauncher\
In here look for a key that does not belong, you should have 0-17, when I get a rogue program icon it is usually listed as 100. Delete the whole key and voila the icon is gone. You don't have to reboot all you have to do is navigate to another tab and back to programs and the icon will be gone.

Guys I have a couple of tweaks I would like to get help with:
1 - How can I change the highlight color(when you click on files in file explorer and the clock on the today screen, etc...) from the default green to another color of my choice?
2 - How can I remove "Alltel" and "Youtube" from below the Globe on the Internet tab in TF3D?
Oddly...I followed these directions ( http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=44689 ) to a T to remove Youtube even double checked...deleted the youtube stuff between the operator links and it still shows up on the Internet Tab even after multiple soft resets. I will even attach my Manila file so you can see what I did. I did exactly what he said to do.
As for the Alltel link, I've been told to delete it from my Opera Favorites....well.....I deleted it from my IE favorites, but I either A) can't see my opera favorites or B) don't have any opera favorites.
I found the Opera6.adr file in file explorer which is suppose to be the favorites file, but when I open it in MS Word there is nothing on it except for this:
Opera Hotlist version 2.0
Options: encoding = utf8, version=3
Can anyone help me here??
Pic to resolve any questions about what I am talking about and shows both things at the same time

I found the solution for those of you that have the same issue:
Go to your Main Memory then see if there is an "\Application Data\Manila" folder. If there is,...then the fix is simple.
Either rename the \Manila folder to something else
I just renamed that folder to "Manilabak" and it worked perfectly after a soft reset.
Thanks. This got rid of the Alltel bookmark for me but the Youtube bookmark is still there.
Hello all,
I tried doing a search but i could not find an answer to what appears to be a simple issue. When I go into File Explorer and attempt to open my Windows folder, it tends to take much longer than usual to open. I'd say about 30 seconds to a minute, where as yesterday it would open up in about two to three seconds. I have not installed much on it since yesterday, when i noticed this issue.
Can any one say what could be slowing it down? every other folder and program is just fine. Its the windows folder that is only slow.
Thanks.
Did you try this:
Change:
HKLM/System/StorageManager/Filters/fsreplxfilt/ReplStoreCacheSize To: 131072
This creates a filesystem 128k sector cache filter, improves data throughput from ROM to RAM (probably) and does seem to improve indexing response and file browsing.
EDIT: file explorer just loaded my "Windows" directory in half a second with this enabled

It's in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5558836&postcount=1
You'll need a registry editor to make the change but there are several available if you run a search.
Great! thanks for the tip. I do have a registry editor on my phone. will attempt and let you know how it worked.
Your help is much appreciated!
where do i enter the value of 131072? under (dec) or (hex)?
It's a dword value. But the editor i use is the one included in wifi remote access so it's a bit different to most and a lot easier to use. So from experience i would enter it as decimal and it should work.
Hi,
I tried both one at a time but its still the same.
anything else we can try.
Thanks
John

Hi guys, only just got round to flashing to the official HTC T-Mobile(UK) ROM 1.72.110.4 and noticed some nice bonuses like a working youtube App from the get-go (yay) and facebook album integration from the manila contacts now show the pictures
Only thing is I'm sure there used to be a program that let me search the contents of the phone, which looks to have been replaced by bing search which isnt the same thing. Does anyone have a cab or know how else I can restore it? I cant remember where some of the apps save things so I used to just search my phone for the filename and voila. Would be nice to get that feature back. Please help

Did you search your phone to look for it
I have the same problem on a custom WM6.5 ROM for my Omnia. The tool is not there.
Was anyone able to add the "Search Phone" as a cab?

Is there any way to modify which apps show up in this list? So many I will never ever use just clogging up the Share list requiring me to scroll down to find Imgur for example, which I use most. I need a way to do this without rooting if possible, appreciate any help!!
Usually on the lists at the bottom there is a "use this by default" checkbox though this option may not always show....but I can't help you with how to modify it at a system level

Yup, but I was referring to the list of apps that show up in Share menu, it's usually any app the system identifies can make use of the protocol (file extension, URL, etc.). Just trying to shorten it to apps I regularly use instead of the huge list, hoping this is possible!

Just uninstall or disable the apps you don't use.
I just published v1.0 of a text adventure interpreter (sideload url - for those who don't have access to google play). Here is a screenshot of the main user interface:

My problem now is that I got a few control features in it, that you might stumble upon by accident, but from which it is not immediatly obvious that they exist at all. These controls are not vital, but make life a lot more compfortable. To list them:
You can swipe the message area left/right to get to the status screen (same as pressing the "flip view" button)
touching a word in a chatbubble will automatically copy it to the input prompt. Double tapping empty space will clear the input prompt
The icons in the lower bar are "speeddials" and fully customizeable. You open the editor by long pressing the icon.
In itself, those controls are pretty sane as they allow you to do things fast. They are what a power user would want to be there, but how do I explain their existence/usage to the casual user? My first idea naturally was to put that in the FAQ, but who reads docs these days? The next idea I had was to simply pop up a messagedialog when the user first comes into the vicinity of a control (e.g. touching a speeddial pops up an alert dialog telling the user how to edit it). Personally, I hate "nanny dialogs" and could see that as a reason to uninstall. Next idea was to display a toast but showing a timed message somehow seems like the wrong approach. Final idea was to push instructions to the notification bar. Not as disruptive as a dialog, but a lot of people seem to care religiously about the notification tray to be empty.
So ... any good ideas on the matter?
